The "8-Week Depression Workbook" offers a range of evidence-based strategies to help manage symptoms of depression, making it a valuable resource for those seeking practical guidance.

One of the workbook's strengths is its structured approach, providing readers with a clear roadmap to follow over the course of eight weeks. The exercises are well-designed and easy to understand, with a focus on building skills and coping mechanisms to navigate the challenges of depression.

However, while the workbook covers a wide range of strategies, I found that some areas could benefit from more depth and exploration. Certain topics felt rushed or oversimplified, leaving me wishing for more detailed explanations and examples to fully grasp the concepts being presented.

Additionally, while the workbook emphasizes evidence-based strategies, I would have liked to see more references or citations to support the effectiveness of the techniques being recommended. Providing readers with access to additional resources or further reading could also enhance the workbook's value as a comprehensive tool for managing depression.

Overall, the "8-Week Depression Workbook" is a useful resource for those looking to take proactive steps towards managing their symptoms.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

I've suffered from depression from longer than I ever knew and I have to say I really enjoyed this work book. I actually plan on purchasing it from Amazon so if that's not a recommendation, then I dont know what is!

This is a very useful and practical guide for anyone experiencing depression. After a short introduction explaining the various types and symptoms of depression, the rest of the workbook is devoted to interactive exercises based on various Evidence Based Therapies (EBT). There is a lot of focus on recognizing and interacting with through processes and many different approaches, from acceptance to challenging to reframing, are offered to the reader.

This is broken into very manageable chunks and guides the reader step-by-step through each module. This is very helpful for someone experiencing depressive symptoms who may feel overwhelmed and unmotivated. I really appreciated that instructions for how to interact with the workbook in ebook format were included. Anyone who is experiencing or has a history of depression could really benefit from this workbook.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

I'm iffy on this. I like the way the pages are but sadly I don't think this book is helpful. I have depression so I was trying a few things the book said and honestly it didn't help me. But it wasn't a bad book. Not sure if anyone I know would like this book. I gave it a try and sadly it wasn't helping me. But their is some good stuff in this book.

I read the beginning, and am going to take the 8 weeks to work through the book.
The beginning was very informative in the different types of mood disorders and treatments. Reading through the symptom list makes me think I need to reschedule with my doctor for further diagnosis.
I’m looking forward to the 8 weeks.
Thanks NetGalley.
