Crash by Tamara Lush is a friends with benefits romance that centers on managing director Dale Alex Jenkins and intern Genevieve Cooper.
I knew right away that Alex was going to be hot, because he was down BAD for Evie, even though he was secretive about, you could see in Alex's pov how caring and attractive he found Evie. Also, I believe this was one of the few books that caught me off guard because I was unaware that Evie was a virgin until she revealed it to Alex, who handled it delicately rather than criticizing her, or because (SPOILER ALERTE) Grams dies unexpectedly considering how funny a side character she was.
While I know that didn't happen, it left me with the impression that the whole family's rudeness and fake personality was left unresolved because it appeared as though it had been dismissed.
In all, Tamara wrote one of the best stories about friends who eventually become lovers since she kept me interested throughout!
*Thank you to Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, and to the author, Tamara Lush, for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for an honest review!*

I loved this book! It was the perfect combination of swoony and steamy, and such a cute story. I love the tropes used in this story, and really loved the epilogue! I can't wait for the last book in this storyworld.

I honestly feel like I would have enjoyed this book more if I had enjoyed the writing style. It reminded me very much of the 2014 era of Wattpad so it was something odd for me to experience reading now. It is a solid book, I just feel like people who like that writing style would enjoy it more than I did.

Alex and Evie are so cute and I loved this. I wish the book was a bit longer so that we got more of them actually together though.
I received an arc through netgalley.

Fake dating/engagement story. Decent characters with a cute ending. Would read other books by this author as well.

‘Alex Jenkins, an ambitious ex-motorcyclist and heir to billions, fakes his engagement to Evie Cooper to claim his inheritance. But with a single kiss, everything changes.’
I loooved this book, I devoured it in an evening. It’s pretty predictable but such a nice, easy read. The short chapters kept me engaged and I enjoyed reading the perspective of both characters.
The first half is tension building and I loved the detail of Evie’s life and backstory. I also adored how the writer revealed parts of Alex’s life gradually throughout the story, it was an excellent contrast. My only negative would be that I’d have liked more backstory on Alex’s motorcycling past, it was skimmed over several times but with no real depth.
There was just the right amount of smut, not too much where it felt repetitive but enough that you could sense the sexual tension between the characters.
Overall, a really fun, enjoyable fake relationship to lovers novel and one I would definitely recommend.
Thanks to Net Galley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for the advanced copy of Crash.

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Books for providing me with an ARC of Crush! I will be honest, it wasn't my favorite read of the year. Dual first person POV has gotten very trendy over the past few years but it sadly isn't my favorite unless it's pulled off really well. I will say this book was sweet and spicy, which I enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone just looking for a fun read.

I love the tropes in this book! I enjoyed that it wasn't insta-love and there was a juicy backstory to both characters.

Tamara Lush is an auto-read author for me. When the opportunity to read and review this book came to me, I was deliriously excited to read it. And I did not put it down. I loved the couple, Evie and Alex. They were so genuine and had intense chemistry. I loved the slow burn and building romance. Two people who had an arrangement with no intention of falling in love. The only thing I didn't like is that the story went by too fast. I want to linger with these characters. I wanted to read more about the dysfunctional, wealthy, extended family members and I needed to read all the scandals of the Jenkins family.
Thank you to NetGalley, Wattpad Publishers and Tamara Lush for the opportunity to read this incredible romance that I will not soon forget.

Thank you Netgalley, Wattpad Books, and Tamara Lush for this early copy in exchange for an honest review!
This book was fake engagement trope where the lines start to blue between what is fake and what is real. I enjoyed reading this book, even if this isnt my favorite trope. I couldn't get enough of Evie & Alex together, which is why I wished there should've been some more scenes where they had to pretend, because the only time they did so was when Evie met Alex's family. Though their chemistry was really believable to me!
I loved Evies sister and Alexs grandmother, they were the best side characters !
I loved the whole mistaking Evie as his Secretary and the incentives of pretending they are together, and I of course loved the grandmother getting these two together ( even though she thinks they are already an item).

Crash was a cute and quick/easy read. My guilty pleasure is the fake dating/fake engagement trope, but obviously I find the endings of them very predictable. The romance was very cute, but felt a little effortless. I wish the characters actually felt like different ones because as of now they felt just like the same person, making it a somewhat hard story to follow.

Alex is Atlanta's most eligible bachelor, heir to a big fortune, not afraid of challenges. Evie is an intern in his company, struggling to pay rent. So it's tempting when Alex offers her money in exchange for a fake engagement in order to secure his place as the company's successor. But what is real, and what is not?
This fake dating romance is told in dual POV, and it's a very quick read. Sadly, that's pretty much everything nice I have to say about it... The formatting was funky (but it was an ARC, so I'm hoping everything is fixed at the release) and hindered the reading experience, the characters were flat, there were lot of repetitions, and a lot of telling instead of showing. I also found the power imbalance and age gap kinda cringey, but that's a me thing. I did love Evie's determination to take care of her younger sister.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I want to thank Wattpad Books and NetGalley for the ARC! I REALLY enjoyed this book!! Really easy to read and I was into the book right away. Yes the trope in this story has been over used but I’m a sucker for a fake dating to dating story and this author found a way to keep me wanting to find out what happens in the end. The author also did a great job with providing Evie a backstory that explains her situation but doesn’t drag it on or overly complicate it. I found the character or Evie really sweet, funny, brave, and determined. She didn’t act like a victim or beg for handouts just hustled and took initiative to help her sister. I was rooting for her often. She was really likeable. So was Alex which I was surprised by. His character grew on me and was a much softer and caring man than I thought at first. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book and highly recommend for romcom lovers!!

i didn’t like this book much at all. I had fun in the beginning, I understood Evie’s struggle with grieving and money but then it became too much. She was unnecessarily rude to Alex for no reason. All she did was bring up her money issues in every single sentence. We get it, you’re broke. I really couldn’t understand why he had feelings for her and none of it was believable to me. I think I would’ve liked it more if evie didn’t annoy me so much because Alex was a sweetheart. It’s a shame.

It’s not very often that I adore the male lead from the start in romcom novels. Especially when the lead is arrogant and comes from a rich and snooty type family. But man, I adored Alex. Minus some of the terrible situations with this family, I loved the chemistry between Alex and Evie. I really adored them as a couple.

Such an adorable, cute, book! I really liked Alex but I do wish that he seemed less of a savior in this book and more equal with Evie on a financial level. I also love the fake dating trope but I feel like it wasn’t executed well. There was little tension between the characters and not much chemistry. I also feel like the end felt very rushed and this book was VERY repetitive. Still, I really enjoyed parts of this book but a lot of things could be fixed.

The language of this book was very cringey and made me DNF only 25% of the way through. I really tried to push through it, but I got tired of reading how masculine/feminine the characters were. Both perspectives gave me a major ick.

The cover is what originally drew me to this book. The characters and fake dating trope are what led me to devour it! I loved this fun, light, and easy romance read with spicy mixed in throughout the story.
The writing was witty and the characters stood on their own. I loved Evie's strong and independent shell, Alex's gooey and devoted personality, and Sabrina's funny Gen-Z vibes were just the cherry on top! The banter between the characters was always on point, and provided a fun reading experience.
The beginning of the book did feel a bit drawn out, and the ending felt a bit rushed, but other than that, this was a very light and exciting read!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

A Sweet and spicy five-star read. I enjoyed this story, not as much as I had hoped to, but overall, it kept me hooked so I ended up giving it five-stars, as I was so close to giving it four only for most of the story. Evie was just such a strong character in so many ways, but in some she did annoy me. There are some extraordinarily funny parts of this story and that was what made it for me, I will be keeping an eye on this author to see what else they have as I would like to hear more.

Crash is a super easy read that will hit you in the feels giving you all the romantic vibes you are craving. From the very start I knew I would love this fake dating trope, from the alpha male/cinnamon roll lead, to the strong female holding it all together, I feel in love with the characters, the storyline, their need for each other and the writing style. The banter and tension drove me to read this book in one afternoon and my only regret is that it wasn’t longer. Crash is a must read!
