Ellery Kane grabbed my attention from the beginning with a story that starts as it means to go on. The tense atmosphere is there immediately and it makes it such an addictive story.

The story is told from both of their points of view so we get the picture from both angles. This gives us insight into their lives but with the twists and unreliable characters does the reader know anything really? This always makes me curious and want to know what's around the corner, so needless to say, I didn't put this book down much!

This is my second book by this author and the second one I have thought was a superb read. She weaves a story that is captivating and so immersive. I was as invested in this one as much, if not more than her previous book.

With characters that you don't know whether to trust, a plot that is cranking up from the start and revelations you don't see coming. This is a fast-paced, page turning book that will have you up till all hours.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley.

OH SNAP!! This is Ellery Kane’s BEST book ever written!!! If you have not read any of her books you must give The Good Wife a try! She is just phenomenal at creating stories that think a little outside the box that grasp your attention! This is one of them that is so addictive I read it in one sitting. It was just so hard to put down.

Ohh I was not expecting that little bit of spice in Ellery’s prologue! It was a pleasant way to start her latest book!

Ellery fascinated me with one of her many storylines in this book that actually made me think. Cassie works in corporate law not criminal law and has been asked to represent her husband Theo in a murder investigation. Now I would think that would be hard for Cassie to do emotionally on a personal level as his wife to handle this. On the same aspect I wondered if this type of thing has ever happened in a real case before. I commended her for being strong in all that came out. Oh this was a very interesting storyline.

Not only was this a murder case but Theo was a former rockstar that had a big following. So, this was a big case with press releases, interviews of former flames, if you are like me and love celebrities and their lives you will love this book as well.

Abby the little girl oh she pulled on my heartstrings! She was just too adorable! I have to say when she took her first steps to New Kids On The Block Step By Step you know I had a big koolaid grin on my face!!! That is my favorite band ever since I was 13! I even met some of the band members! Yes, I was fangirling!

On a more serious note there were some serious matters that were addressed in the book that may trigger some.

The Good Wife has 5 stars and must read all over it!! You should definitely go out and get it!

I was instantly gripped by The Good Wife. This proved to be a riveting thriller/courtroom drama that I could not get enough of!

Cassie and Theo have been married for two years and have an 18-month-old daughter. They appear to be the perfect couple. Theo is a former rock star who enjoys being home with their daughter and giving the occasional guitar lesson. Cassie is a corporate attorney who has just made partner at her law firm. A knock on their front door changes everything. The police are there and inform them that a woman's body has been found in a dumpster outside of his music studio.

The woman turns out to be Elise, described as being a young nanny and yet it is later revealed that she and Cassie went to high school together. Theo and Elsie met at the park where he takes his daughter and Elsie takes the twins she looks after. After recognizing Theo, she inquiries about taking lessons from him.

When Theo is arrested for Elise's murder, Cassie must question if her husband is guilty? Is he telling her the truth? Is he hiding anything from her? When Theo asks Cassie to defend him in court, she agrees.

Things get juicy, tension mounts and I could not put this book down! I loved the drama and how it played out. The secrets, the lies, the not so nice mother-in-law, all made for interesting reading. The author tells the story in "before" and "after" sections as we are given Cassie's and Theo's POVs. Very nicely done.

This was a captivating page turner which made this reader happy. It was fast paced, tense, and so very enjoyable. I can't wait to read what Kane writes next!

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was hard to rate because I guessed the twist SUPER early, and some of the courtroom dialogue was unreal, BUT it was still entertaining and well-written. Ultimately, I rated it four stars because I read for entertainment. Even predictable plots can be well-done. People who love crime thrillers will love this book. I'm not super into crime thrillers, but I loved this one because it was several stories that twisted together with interesting characters. Thanks for the advance review copy.

When you suspect your handsome husband who is also a loving father is accused of murder, what do you do? Do you protect him, believe him, punish him or represent him? After all you’re the Good Wife! Cassie is a lawyer and she decides to represent him!

Theo is arrested by police! A girl is killed on their block! Cassie and Theo both know each other weaknesses and secrets. Could he be innocent?

This novel goes back and forth before and after the death of the girl. This gripping novel is a page-turner and will keep you guessing. This was my second novel by the author, and I look forward to more novels. Kane delivers a twisty and suspenseful combination.

The writing left a bit to be desired, but the plot delivered. It wasn't hugely surprising, but still a lot of fun. I enjoyed reading about the main character and her journey as well. I'll surely look through the author's other books and maybe pick something up in the future.

Corporate lawyer Cassidy Copeland is married to Theo and they have a daughter they both love named Abby. They live in a suburb of San Francisco called Strollervill he is an ex-rockstar and a stay at home dad when a new nanny named Elise starts working for the Hamiltons ,Theo feels bad to see her sitting at the park alone and the other mothers talking about her so he befriends her when he learns she was good friends with his wife in high school he surprised but when she keeps trying to insinuate her self into his life Cassidy insists he puts a stop to it. When Elise is found murdered and then the dumpster behind Theo‘s studio he is blamed for the crime. Cassidy says she will defend him but how can she when she doesn’t trust him herself? Compared to the thrilling Book the summary is horrible but just know there was a lot of moving parts in this book and they all get put into their place by the end and they have so many OMG moments this is a very well put together thriller and mystery and one of the best I have read this year. I have read ElleryKeynes books before but I must say this is my favorite this is a truly stellar book what more can I say it’s a definite five star read! I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

This was a fast paced psychological thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I loved the dual timelines. The multiple POV. And the twists and turns

We piece together what happened, by listening to Theo's version of events in the months leading up the Elise's murder, and Cassie's after he has been charged with her murder.

This book was fast-paced and twisty with characters who all have a little something to hide.

Thank you #Bookouture #netgalley and #ellerykane for allowing me to read and review this ARC of a novel being published 10/25/22.

The Good Wife is fast-paced, tense, twisty and unpredictable. Theo Copeland is a stay-at-home dad while his wife Cass goes out to work; she is a lawyer and the married couple has a seventeen-month-old daughter, Abby. One morning, the police knock on their front door asking questions about a property - 865 Church Street. A young woman's body has been found in a bin there.

This exciting and compelling domestic thriller and courtroom drama blend kept me guessing right until the end. I was gripped and in a state of apprehension all the way through and I couldn't put it down, reading it in one fell swoop. Very highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from Bookouture via NetGalley at my request and this review is my own unbiased opinion.

The Good Wife by Ellery Kane was a great psychological thriller. This book keeps you on your toes to try and figure out where it all went wrong.
Theo is a stay at home dad while his wife Cass works. Theo gets to know a nanny that is new to the neighborhood. Then everything goes wrong when she ends up dead. Will he be charged with the crime or did someone more sinister happen to the nanny.
This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of love and deceit. I love the wild ride and couldn't but the book down. Highly recommend to anyone that loves a good mystery.

This was a solid thriller, but I figured out what actually happened pretty early on. It was enjoyable nonetheless to watch the story unfold.

As a fan of other similar books (think Girl on the train) I was looking forward to this. I was not disappointed! Great plot with lots of intrigue!

Theo’s a retired musician who now stays at home with his daughter Abby. Cassie, his wife, is a lawyer. One night, the police knocked on their door saying that there’s a dead woman in the dumpster behind the studio where Theo teaches his guitar lessons. Both of their connections to this woman unravels, secrets are revealed but will keep you guessing until the end.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of psychological domestic thrillers! This was gripping and twisty. If you like The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose, then you will love this one as well. The character set up is very similar. Cassie and Theo is so fleshed out. I enjoyed the legal aspect. I’m always here for a bit of a courtroom drama. I have yet to read a novel from Ellery Kane prior to this one but they will definitely go on the never lasting TBR List.

Jaw dropping psychological thriller! I kept bouncing around with my guesses. These are some of the most unlikable characters I've ever read and I was completely hooked by them. They give new meaning to love to hate! I did end up loving Cass. Serious hate for Theo the entire book. And that ending! I thought to myself "here we go again" then I couldn't help laughing. This was one of my favorite standalone books by this author!

Ellery Kane knows how to write a psych thriller that keeps the reader guessing, second-guessing, and then doubling back and guessing yet again. The Good Wife had me doing just that. Multiple times. The pacing is great, there are plenty of clues and red herrings. There are characters to like, dislike, and question their motivations. Do we ever really know those closest to us? That is a question with multiple answers in this twisty book. And there are plenty of blink-and-you’ll-miss specifics that put this book an edge above the rest. I started this book a little hesitantly sure it would be like the rest of the books in this genre but I was shocked right up until the very end.
Cassandra is a great character to get behind I loved watching her grow and develop over the course of this book. With every new bit of information she puts on a brave front and fights them I was rooting for her all the way through. If you love to hate a character there someone in there for you but make up your own mind. This book brought a lot of different emotions in me I was screaming at one point, it’s a roller coaster all the way and I love that in a book. This will grip you from the firsts chapter packed full with surprises to keep you engrossed for hours to come.
As the story unfolds the secrets and lies come out for all to see, I was left gob smacked by some of the twists in the story. Another author from Bookouture that is fantastic I can’t wait to see more from this author.
Thank you to Netgalley/Ellery Kane/Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for the honest review.

I loved The Good Wife! I'm a big fan of this Authors books, Her Psychological Thrillers are filled with twists and are always gripping reads. The Good wife is now one of my favorites. I devoured Cassie and Theo's story. I never knew exactly who was lying and who was telling the truth. Elise was a great character, unhinged, yet sweet. I'm amazed at how all the characters could be good as well as evil. I'm looking forward to reading more of this Authors work.
