The Good Wife by Ellery Kane A fast paced, domestic drama with a group of unlikable and manipulative women. Actually got to the point where I felt sorry for Theo. Abby was the only one totally there for him. A good wife indeed, Cassie did come to his defense after a fashion. Surprised at the ending, the signs where there within the narrative, just very well hidden. Entertaining and engrossing read.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

This was a very enjoyable read for me , very entertaining , and whilst I figured out the truth of things it didn’t spoil my enjoyment at all . Theo a minor music celebrity is married to Cassie a high powered lawyer , he is a stay at home dad to their young daughter , when a body is found at the back of his studio he immediately becomes the main suspect , especially when we find out he new the victim , Elise a nanny that he spent a lot of time with , we find out that she was a friend of Cassie from her hometown and so the plot thickens . From the 6 months before the murder to the aftermath we here both Cassie and Theo’s stories and I was gripped . Would definitely recommend 5 stars from me

O. My. Goodness! The Good Wife by Ellery Kane is another explosive read.

The book was riveting both in characters & the plot. I couldn't stop turning the pages of this book that opened with an amazing start that had me hooked right from the beginning.
The thrills do not end and a heart stopping scenes are enough to keep your eyes glued to this book!
The story grabbed my attention immediately, but I couldn’t have guessed how engrossing, smart and ell-plotted the book would be.

Kane has once again written a quick, entertaining and very exciting story.

All marriages have their challenges, right? But as I watch my husband being put into the back of a cop car, I find myself wondering if I ever knew him at all. Could handsome, easy-going Theo really have killed a girl on our block? Could I have got the sweet, loving father, who makes up lullabies to sing my baby to sleep, so wrong?
Most women would leave him take their child and run for the hills. But not me. Theo and I have been together a long time. I know his secrets. And he knows all of mine. Well, most of them. I’m the best lawyer in this town and I’m his only chance. So I choose to defend him, whatever the cost.
When I learn more about the young woman found dead in a dumpster outside of my husband’s music studio, I feel my heart pound in my chest. I know her, and I know how close she was to my husband. As a local nanny, they often bumped into each other at the children’s playground, and he even invited her over for dinner once. Was I wrong to be so trusting? And why did he lie about where he was the night she was killed?
As the police begin to pick apart our relationship, they don’t paint a pretty picture, and even some of our so-called friends begin to tell stories. It feels like my whole life has been a lie.
Can I really trust the man I love?
And when push comes to shove, can he trust me?
Really enjoyed this book totally recommend

Cassie is a lawyer and Theo is a retired musician who now stays at home with their daughter, Abigail. A body is found of a nanny, who was an old friend of Cassie's. Theo becomes the prime suspect, when they find evidence against him. Cassie is beside herself and offers to defend her husband in court. Will she find out more about her husband than she knew? Is he a murderer or is someone else to blame?

Wow, talk about a page turner! This goes back and forth, before and after the murder. I loved the different perspectives between Cassie and Theo. Don't believe all you read and you will surprised by the ending. Another win for this book by Ellery Kane. She really knows how to tell a great story!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

This was a quick fast paced page turner! The reason I can only give it 4 stars is because it all seemed very dejavú from a previous book I read that was quite a hit. I don’t want to spoil it by mentioning what book that is because the twist was exactly the same and the setup was super similar just different husbands and careers. I spent the whole book hoping the ending wasn’t going to be the same but alas it was. It’s a good ending! Just disappointed that it’s been done before.

Cassie is a corporate lawyer who is partner at her company. Her husband is an amazing stay at home dad for the little girl named Abby. He used to be a rockstar front man in a band but left the life for his domestic one. One morning he gets arrested for a murder of a girl who was a nanny in the neighborhood. His wife stands by his side for his innocence and decided to defend him and be his attorney. Twists and turns and lies and deceit makes you flip faster and faster to find out the big ugly truth.

Thank you Bookouture and netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this! When Cassie's old best friend is found dead, her husband is the prime suspect. He swears he did not have an affair or murder Elsie, but who is to be believed?

Once I started reading, I did not want to stop. It was very compelling. I did figure out the twist, though, so in that sense it was a little predictable. But that did not inhibit my enjoyment of reading it. It reminded a lot of The Perfect Marriage.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Good Wife by Ellery Kane is a twisty whodunit that held my interest and kept me quickly flipping pages. A domestic situation interlaced with a courtroom drama that keeps you guessing. Although I figured out the ending, it did not lessen the intrigue of the book.

Synopsis:
A lawyer's husband is arrested for the murder of a young woman. The case quickly intensifies as the evidence against him builds. Is the husband guilty? What secrets is he hiding?

With lies and deception at every turn, readers are left trying to figure out who is telling the truth. Ellery Kane is a master at writing juicy domestic drama that always delivers. This is my second book by the author and both provided an intense read.

The Good Wife is available on October 25th.

Thank you, Bookouture and NetGalley, for sharing this exciting novel with me. Your kindness is appreciated!

My Review:
Loved, loved, and more loved!!!!! I couldn’t believe that shocking ending. I knew something was up the whole book but I didn’t know it was that. It was like wow what I’m I reading. I have to say though that my favorite thing about this whole book was that part of it was a courtroom drama. I haven’t read a book like that in ages. I really miss reading those types of books. I haven’t read this author before but I’m so happy that I picked this one up. I even ditched my current read when I saw this one was available. The blurb is what drew me to this book but that story line and that heart attack of an ending kept me engrossed. As I read each chapter I wanted more and more. The time passed by so quickly and by the time I was done I had no idea whether it was morning or night. I couldn’t put it down for the life of me. I do have to say that this is one of my favorite reads of the year so far. It had everything I look for in a great book. Great characters, great plot and of course a great ending. I look forward to reading more of this authors books.

In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed this domestic thriller, it was thoughtful and engaging and well constructed. What would you do for love and to keep your marriage? Cassie is determined not to be like her passive mother who stayed in denail and stayed despite her husband's beatings. And her mother in law, who stayed despite repeated infidelity. Is she so different after all, when she takes on the defense of her husband accused of murdering and having an affair with a childhood friend of hers? With secrets from the far past and the near past, we are taking on an absorbing journey with a character we root for as her ability to work with the truth and her future is revealed.

I like a story that is eloquently written with no unnecessary filler and Ellery Kane is always up to the task. While this was one of her most predictable books, the journey was still a fun one to take. The characters were so well developed and it was beautifully paced, my heart raced at moments. A master of storytelling!

The Good Wife follows a couple -and interesting pairing of rockstar (him) and attorney (her)- after he gets accused of homicide. Their marriage has been on the rocks for a while, so when he asks her to represent him at trial, she sees it as an opportunity to gain back her husband. As the investigation progresses, though, she realises there could be more than meets the eye....

I really enjoyed this novel!

The Good Wife is written from the point of view of each character, and jumps back and for in time to explain the chain of events that lead to the murder of Elise, the victim. The ending was satisfying and twisty. This is a true page-turner, and the narrative flows well. The characters are well written, although I wasn't sure if I like the husband that much... hah

This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review.. Mystery and intrigue with a protagonist who is dynamic. She is a corporate attorney who has accepted her husband’s request to present him at trial…for murder…this author is talented and gifted at writing a cannot put down book. I could not turn the pages quickly enough to see what is happening next…I do not like books with dual voices, but this author made it work…the main character, her husband, their child, the annoying mother. In law who moves in…friendship and deceit…family secrets…the past …tempers flare…don’t miss this…
