I am so sorry, but this book just wasn't for me. It had a great premise, but unfortunately, it fell just short for me. I was not able to finish the book. I am not using NetGalley’s DNF feature as it negatively affects reviewers.

Katherine Cole left her old life behind after finding out her fiancee was a serial killer. Katherine has created a new life under the watch of her handler but when a murder happens that compares exactly to her ex's, she tries to do the right thing by showing up at the police station. She meets Detective Dane black who is not sure about her story but quickly realizes she is in danger when her ex resurfaces. He wont stop until he gets his hands on Katherine but how many victims will fall in his reign of terror trying to get her?

Exceptional. This was intense and loved the chemistry between Katherine and Dane. This was one of these books that while reading at night you wonder about the creeks your house makes, scares you in a good thrilling way.

Fast paced and a page turner will have you on the edge of your seat! Well thought out plot and characters! You won't believe what happens behind this cover!

I’m so grateful that I stumbled upon Cynthia Eden’s books on NetGalley. I’ve only read a hand full of her books but am a huge fan. I really enjoyed this crime story. It was full of thrills and suspense. Every time I thought I had the mystery figured out…BAM! I was proved wrong and shoved in another direction. I’m excited to read the rest of the series. BUT I don’t recommend listening to the audible version while home alone at night ;)
