Thank you to NetGalley and Sierra Simone for a digital copy of American Queen.

This is the first book I have read involving a trio, I will admit it was a little out of my comfort zone. However, I did enjoy the plot and the characters. The President & VP, who were also war heroes and best friends was almost like something my friends and I would make up playing up make-believe as children. Only we we were each attached to one, like her cousin envisioned, LOL. While it did remind me of that, I still enjoyed the storyline very much. My heart hurt for Greer and Avery at times, but not so much for Ash our leading man.

While the plot and most characters were fantastic, I gave the book 3 stars because while the characters, story and romance were great, the ending had me screaming, "WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F@#%!!!!

Greer is supposed to be a highly intelligent, sophisticated woman who has a great skill of intuitively reading people. She has mastered and honed the skill since childhood. Yet she somehow cant see that Abilene is a jealous, selfish bitch who doesn't really care about anyone but herself. Even Grandpa doesn't like her!! But we are supposed to believe that Greer just constantly took abuse from her "best friend" and was always willing to drop everything for her including her safety. I am sure in book 2 we will be reading Greer saying something along the lines of "I am so sorry I scared you and caused so much trouble... you even warned me to stay away from her..." That just irritates me. Keep our heroines sharp and smart please!!!Especially when they already were from the start.

This is my first book by Sierra Simone and whew it did not disappoint. I loved the political intrigue and the fact that Ash and Embry are POTUS and VPOTUS. I wanted Greer to have more of a voice in their story even though this book is entirely from her POV. The book does a lot of world building and ends on a cliff hanger so I’m glad I can jump right into book 2!

I voluntarily read a gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

American Queen by Sierra Simone was a hot and spicy Camelot retelling.
Sierra Simone captivated me from the very beginning. Like I literally couldn’t pull my eyes away. I was hooked. Her writing completely had me spellbound.
This one has quickly made it to one of my top favorite books of all times.
A hot new romance with a touch of politics and a bit of magic.

I wasn't really impressed with this book. The charters really got on my last nerve. I really just had the feeling that the two men should of just been together. It was a different plot with the POTSUS, First Lady and the VP. I feel like it was too much back and fourth with the past and present, and not enough chemistry with the Female lead. I might try the next.

Thank you Bloom Books for the advanced reading copy via NetGalley, receipt of which did not impact my review.

Greer Galloway is the granddaughter of a Vice President and soon to be the wife of the current President of the United States, Maxen Ashley Colchester (Ash). The book starts with a prologue of the wedding day, and sets the stage for a non traditional relationship between the President, First Lady, and Vice President, Embry Moore.

The New Camelot series details an obsessive love with some very, very explicit scenes - everyone is consenting and seems happy, so good for them. It ends on quite a cliffhanger and as a result, I rushed into book two very quickly.

This was a reread for me and an absolute joy to revisit! This was the perfect mix of legendary retelling with the best inclusion of smut. This was amazing to have enjoyed again and I can't wait to read the following books!

Good god.
This story was hot AF. I don’t normally love second chance romances in which the MCs haven’t seen each other in a long stretch of time, but something about this one just spoke to me so much. The ratio of smut to plot seemed a little off-balance, but the author found a way to make the smut the plot, so it somehow worked. I ADORE these MCs, and I’m honestly struggling to write this review because I’m desperate to start reading the next book so I can find out where they go from here.

I was given an ARC by NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books. All opinions are my own.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 this was my first Camelot retelling, and I really enjoyed it!! It was a fun spin having it be the President. I am also glad it didn’t very political or get into too much detail. I loved the chemistry and the chapters in the past to understand the relationships. I cannot wait for more Embry in the next book. I desperately wanted another pov, so now I’ll get it in the next book!

Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley for my gifted arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is a book where you should read the reviews first! I thought I was needing another one of the royal genre books that has become popular lately. Nope! This book is smutty and intense! If you enjoy reading smut, this is a perfect one for you!

I didn't enjoy much about this book. I felt no connection to the main character and didn't like either of the love interests. A lot of the relationship felt almost rape-y. The 26-year-old falling in love with a 16-year-old at first sight was a little weird. I also got the feeling that Greer felt pressured to do what Ash wanted most of the time, even if she wasn't sure about it.
I felt like Ash and Embry were just using Greer as an excuse to stay in a relationship. They made so many decisions about the relationship without her, even though she very much needed to be a part of the conversation.
Overall, I hated the relationship and didn't like any of the 3 people involved in that relationship, which doesn't work very well for a romance novel.
I will not be continuing with this trilogy.

CW: consensual kink, death of parents (past), kidnapping, dom/sub relationship, consensual kink, past unintentional incest, death of spouse (past, cancer), grief, threat of sexual violence, humiliation kink, war/battle references, gender essentialism, emotional infidelity

I would recommend if you're looking for (SPOILERS)
-MFM erotic romance
-Arthur retelling
-horny pining
-love triangle
-It's always been you

This was a reread for me and I enjoyed it even more the second time. I'm a huge fan of Sierra Simone's writing style which almost has a fairytale quality to it. I just love the idea of this book. A modern Arthur retelling but what if Guinevere, Arthur and Lancelot (aka Greer, Ash and Emery) we're all in love with each other. Prepare yourself because this ends on a cliffhanger and you're going to want to have book 2 ready. If you're looking for political intrigue, a who bunch of angst, and steam you need to read this one.

Steam: 5

This was a fun, spicy 🌶, and bingable read!

I liked the FMC's confidence & intelligence. The MMCs were great as well. I would read more books by this author.

Tysm for letting me be an ARC reader for this book!

Wow wow wow. This was so insanely good and HOT! I’d read Priest and enjoyed it, but this is an entirely new level. The scenes are so spicy, but the characters are what make this book so great. Greer and Ash are great, but Embry really shines. That last scene before THAT CLIFFHANGER!! I will not recover soon. I definitely have a new obsession and will be leaping into the next books!

4.5 stars

I LOVED this book so much! These characters in this story and their chemistry pulled me right into the middle of their love triangle. If you are into a little or a lot of spice and love a story with a good bit of plot read this!! This book has love, forbidden love, lust, second chance love, drama and friendship. It is intense at times as you feel the love these characters have for one another.

The story begins with story of Greer meeting a wizard and him telling her “Keep your kisses to yourself when the time comes”. Merlin told her that she was not supposed to kiss anyone. EVER! If she kissed anyone, people would get hurt. She meets Ash when she is sixteen and they end up with a kiss. This kiss is so powerful and stays with her for years to come. Her next kiss is at 20 to Embry and this begins the complicated love feelings for the only two men she has kissed. She has always loved Ash from the first time she met him and has not forgotten that kiss. I absolutely loved the three characters in this story. Greer is sweet, intelligent, strong and submissive. She knows what she wants and after some events she will get everything she was hoping for! Ash is a contradiction. When you think he's sweet he becomes ruthless! He's a very dominating man, kinky and powerful. Embry is the strongest of all! He could have had everything and have nothing. He's loyal, conflicted and the one who makes this story come together. Can three people love each other? This is losely based on the triangle retellings of the sordid tale of Lancelot, Guinevere, and Arthur. I absolutely loved this book!! Many thanks to SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Loved it! As someone that grew up loving Arthurian legends, this Camelot / King Arthur retelling was right up my alley. And the smut was 💯💯. I bow down to Sierra Simone!

Rating: 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5).

Holy steam Batman!

Spicy, but did enjoythe storyline of Greer, Ash and Embry as well and will continue on with the series.

Greer grew up in the public eye in a political family. She's educated and wealthy, and thinks she's a good judge of people.

At different times she encounters both Maxen Ash Colchester and Embry Moore and Greer. THey bring out a different side of her.

I wouldn't call this a love triangle, as the love exists betweens all of them.

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for a copy of this book!
