I have been hearing of this series for a long time on booktok so when I saw this on NetGalley I jumped at the chance to request it. I have to say that it definitely lived up to the hype and I'm excited to see how much further it can go with this publisher. Loved the concept and the execution.

This book was fantastic!! It brought the spice and the chemistry and the angst and I read it in one day!
Thank you Bloom books for the eARC in exchange for an honest review

Greer, grand daughter of an American Vice-President, knows her way around politics and knows how to read people. At 15, she met Ash, more than 10 years her senior. Six years later, she met Embry. Now Ash is President of the United-States, and Embry his Vice-President, and she cares for them both...
This is book 1 in the New Camelot Trilogy, and it is told mostly in Greer's POV. There were multiple timelines, which I found confusing, especially since all three MCs don't seem to have their own voice. I saw no character development through the timelines or the book. However, the spice and the angst were great. This one is my favorite of the series.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I did really enjoy this book, very very spicy, I found some of the story predictable, but I was also shook at some points as well. overall a decent read & I’ll be reading the next book

When I thought Simone’s PRIEST was already pearl-clutching, this trilogy takes the cake of everything taboos. Everything you can think of, most likely, this book covers it. This book is erotica, but it does have a plot, angst, drama, and story, and I’m curious about what happened next and couldn’t stop reading.
Merlin told Greer when she was 7yo that she needed to keep her kisses to herself. That is until she kissed two men in her life, once when she was 16yo and another when she was 21yo. Apparently, those two men are best friends and lovers. I can’t help but root for Greer, who is intelligent, observant, and honest. Esp knowing that her best friend/cousin is such toxic. The first book of this trilogy got me hooked, so when there’s a cliffhanger, I am so glad that I don’t have to wait to read the next book.
Thank you NetGalley, the Publisher and the author, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review

Greer Galloway has been in love with Maxen Ashley Colchester since she was a young girl of fifteen when she first met him, the man who become president of the United Sates. Six years after meeting Ash, she meets Embry, a man who becomes Ash's vice president. A truly captivating book with this love triangle. Greer grew is a beautiful young woman whose been living in a political household most of her life with her grandfather, Leo Galloway, an ex-vice president himself. I enjoy that the book goes into details of her past, their past together so the puzzle pieces fit together nicely. We see a young woman struggling to love two men, who desires two men, but she's keeping secrets from Ash that could destroy everything. The throw in Merlin Rhys who seems to be psych who can predict the future and gives them all advice. I have voluntarily read and review this excellent book.

Soooo... I did not know what I was going into before picking this up. I probably should've looked at the genres and tags here on GR for some kind of warning, but after requesting this on NetGalley and quickly getting it approved, I decided to just jump in with no other knowledge than a friend of mine (Kim, yes, I blame you) said it was good and a quick read... and uhm, now that I've read it, I can tell you it's a lot. Like a whooole lot.
Dad, if you're reading this, please stop right now and turn back. We'll talk next week.
This was a very flowy, fast-paced and surprisingly pleasant read. I had a good time with it. This style of smut I don't think is personally for me, but I enjoyed it regardless. Simone's writing is definitely pleasant, I don't have any qualms with it, and the tension between the characters is built up very nicely as well.
Books like this make me realize why I don't like love triangles 'cause ... why choose?
The cliffhanger at the end was so mean and I'm really excited to see where the actual story plot goes in the sequel. I have a lot of questions that are still left unanswered (like wtf happened to Greer's parents? Does Merlin actually have magical powers? And wtf is wrong with Abilene?).
Thanks to NetGallery and Bloom Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review

This very much give me a love triangle from Scandal vibes. Olivia Pope and Fitz and Jake falling in love with her.
The first scene where the three of them are together in the same room. Wow! Just wow!
I love how dominating Ash is. He is not ashamed of what he wants and he gets it without question. I didn’t like the whole storyline of Ash and Morgan but I get it for his character.
I’m interested to see where this series goes. If they get their HeA or is it too much to ask?

EN - American Queen is a polyamorous love saga - this one the first book -, between the two most powerful men on earth and the woman who’d become their American Queen. It alternates between unfolding current events and flashbacks, this is the behind closed door's story about a sacred and unapologetic love that transcends time.

4.75/5
Wow. I was not expecting this at all. I can confidently say that I have never read a book like this before.
American Queen was such a wild ride and I loved every second of it.
I was immediately sucked into the world building and could easily visualize this book from start to finish. Simone does a fantastic job of creating the perfect amount of mystery and intrigue while turning the spice dial up to a million.
The spice in this book is a whole other level. You can tell that Simone thrives on this specific writing style and payoff is immense. There's something so familiar about having these political figures holding back and giving in to their sexual desires.
Overall the spice was truly something to behold and that ending kept me truly invested. I'm waiting on bated breath to see what happens next.
Thank you to Bloom Books, Sierra Simone, and Net Galley for this E arc in exchange for my honest review. #sierrasimone #bloombooks #lovetriangle

3.75 stars. I can’t believe it took me so long to read this book, it’s right up my alley. This was my first Sierra Simone read, and I will be looking into more of her books. Some of the plot was a little off (some things weren’t creditable enough for me) but wow, Sierra can write some spicy scenes. I love Ash’s dominant presence but Embry has my heart, with all his selflessness. I have a thing about flashback chapters, but I thought they worked perfectly and helped build the storyline. This is not a standalone book, and I look forward to reading the next in the series!

I really loved this book! Greer is invited to the White House by the President's best friend to woo her which starts buried secrets and desires that bounds the three of them together. Let me first say that this book is steamy. Like really smutty and steamy which romance fans will enjoy. Not only that but the story of the book is also wonderfully well written. I was hooked into the story from the first page and really couldn't stop reading. I enjoyed all the secrets that were being revealed and all the conflicts that were being thrown into the story. This book had great pacing, storyline, plot structure and style. I also enjoyed how the setting was in the White House which I thought was different from my other reads but in a good way.
I enjoyed the main character Greer in this book. Her story is told from both the present and past tense. I enjoyed how the author wrote Greer's story in the past tense just so readers can know more about her story and what she had to go through in her journey. She has a great character development in a way she isn't shamed of who she is and appreciates her body which I loved about her. There was also great side characters in this book who were mostly Embry and Ash. The author also wrote their books which I can't wait to read. Other then that there weren't many other side character. The romance in this book is forbidden romance, friends to lovers, instant love, and soul mates. It has a MFM couple which I don't think I have read in a while. The romance was 6/5 level of steaminess so be ready.
The ending was wonderfully done and I really need to read the next two books soon. I just loved everything about this book and how the author wrote Greer as a sex positive and independent lady. I didn't have any problems with this book at all which you can see by my rating. I totally recommend this book if you need a MFM romance or an erotica read.

There is nothing better to take your mind off of real politics than a super sexy, fictional political romance. Plus, this book was so much hotter than I thought it would be, but I should have known because Sierra Simone always brings the

A big thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
There are going to be people who are really into the type of romance that this book has to offer, and there are going to be folks who are cringing at the content. This book is absolutely wild no matter what part of the spectrum you are on.
This is a very interesting story that I did enjoy - however, there were equally as many things that I didn't enjoy about this book. I do recognize that this is fantasy and I think that everyone's allowed to have a safe space to express those freaky thoughts and it's great when others can celebrate finding literature that speaks to their desires ....
The ten-year-age difference and thinking about a 26-year-old man lusting after a 16-year-old was hard to swallow, but the author did try to keep it respectful... however, there are parts of the book that are utterly disrespectful, degrading and dehumanizing, but that's what some people are into -- so if you're into BDSM and really rough/possessive domination of a man with a submissive lady, then dive right in. This is definitely a contemporary erotica.
With all of that being said - the way this book ends absolutely leaves you wanting more and I will no doubt need to continue to consume this series and see what happens next with Greer, Embry and Ash.

I will say that this cover and the book were not what I originally expected but I was PLEASANTLY surprised.
This book follows Greer Galloway and her journey into the world of politics and kink. I loved how this book goes from past to present to give the reader the background without confusion.
I loved...LOVED Ash and Embry and the chemistry of the three of them together.
And the added drama of the storyline to have that perfect combination of kinky spice and plot.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Sourcebooks for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book! American Queen by Sierra Simone mixes every trope/ writing style that I love. The story and the spice are fast pace so if there were ever a book that you might have a problem putting down- it'll be this one. SS has this uncanny ability to mix romance, love, and gut wrenching heartache with the most toe curling smut you've ever consumed.
American Queen is a reimagining of the Tale of King Arthur, very loosely using the original story to guide this reimagining in a present day setting. Greer and Ash reunite after meeting when they're younger and Embry is Ash's best friend/ sometimes more. The story revoles around the three navigating how to love more than one person. In a pervy way but also a really romantic way. Telling the story from Greer's POV. I think each partner in the throuple has a book with their main POV and I love that idea.
I cannot wait to see what the next books give us.

3.5 stars
I had some mixed feelings about this book initially, but I found myself more invested as it went on. I enjoy when flashbacks are used to slowly reveal how things got to a certain point, it always makes me eager to keep reading. I didn’t always especially like the characters, but I still found myself rooting for them. Sierra of course brought the spice and some moments honestly left me a little shocked. The ending was the best part, an insanely spicy scene followed by a wild cliffhanger! I’m a bit on the fence about continuing the series but I do really want to know what happens.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Bloom for the review copy!

I was so prepared for some mild review inflation before I reread the Greer/Embry scene and came across this one line. My main critique of this book is just that I desperately wish Greer or even Embry would just RUN. Maxen scares me a bit, and these relationships seem so imbalanced. Also, as someone taking an American government class, the politics in this book make zero sense, but that clearly isn't the main idea of it. Still, there's no way even with this cultural event of the war that a third party would rise to such power in 5-15 years, even if their figurehead is a war hero. Anyways, did I read this whole series? Yeah. Did I like it? Not really. They were overall an experience, though, and it was a fun conversation topic with friends.

**I would like to thank NetGalley, Bloom Books, and Sierra Simone for an ARC of this book! This is now available as of 2/1/23!**
"t's the three of us: Ash, stern and powerful; Embry, haunted and pale; and me, with bite marks on the inside of my thighs and a hammering heart."
Most of the quotes I highlighted can't be shared because of NSFW lol. Just know, this book was steamy.
Definitely some pretty intense topics:
-past unintentional incest
-threat of sexual assault
-age gap (minor/adult)
-BDSM
-polyamory
I wish I knew this was a Camelot retelling before I finished it. It wasn't until I was reading other reviews that I finally figured it out. I definitely missed that layer of the story.
I absolutely will be reading the rest of this series.

This is an awesome romance with a lot of twist and unexpected turns. I really liked it! It has drama and spice, danger and suspense. You should read this captivating story.
