This book! These women were so horrible to each other it disgusted me. And knowing that there are people out there like this… yikes. The story centers around three couples, and how their lives intersect.

Affairs, gossip, Instagram moms, arranged marriage… there’s a lot to unpack here. I also felt really sorry for the kids. Lots of dirty laundry.

I will say the mini twist at the end made me gasp.

Overall, a decent read. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I will admit that I had a little bit higher hopes than this book delivered on. It is a debut novel by the author so I'm not going to be super critical.

It wasn't bad, it was just so-so. I am usually a fan of domestic thrillers, but it was really hard for me to really rally behind any of the characters. They were all mean women being mean to each other and it was a bit much for me. Reminded me of the mean girls in high school except fully grown women. They are self-absorbed, superficial, money hungry & mean and love to pick on the weak.

Right now, in today's world, I feel like we need more stories about women building each other up instead of tearing them down.

It just wasn't a win for me.

A superb fast paced thriller. I absolutely loved the story and couldn’t stop reading it. It’s perfect for all readers, especially thriller lovers.

Dirty Laundry by Disha Bose is a dark novel about three very unhappy couples and their messy domestic lives. None of the characters is particularly likeable, although I did feel sorry for Mishti. The story kept me interested and I kept wondering what the point of the story was going to be when I got to the end. Unfortunately, there wasn't any point.

The story is just about three messy relationships, particularly the damaged and unhappy wives, with an anticlimactic ending that still leaves me wondering, "What was the point?!" It wasn't a bad novel, but it wasn't particularly good either. I would be happy to try something else by this author after she gets a couple more books under her belt.

Disha Bose debut book is full of plot twists and keeps you in your toes and reading late into the night trying to guess who killed Ciara Dunphy. I have a feeling there are many great stories to come from Disha in the future.

This story was hard to get into. Even though the characters were fully developed, each woman has a back story. However, a lot of ideas were written in different ways. So it seems I'm reading the same thing repeatedly, just differently worded. That got boring and frustrating very quickly. I was hoping for a good ending to pull this story out of my rut. I was wrong. Overall, the story was underwhelming.

Hmm, I’m not quite sure how I feel about this book. It was enjoyable as far as a quick mindless read goes, but it almost felt like reading a children’s book (or an adult version of a childhood classic such as Mean Girls). The plot felt like run on sentence only to end so abruptly that I felt like I had run into a wall with no resolution whatsoever. I found every character besides Mishti so unlikeable and found myself frustrated at everyone while reading this book about childish immature adults. Overall, I felt like this book was a little pointless and I am left feeling like I took nothing away from this book. I don’t want to be so harsh and I do want to acknowledge how much I appreciate the true and authentic narrative of an Indian immigrant feeling lost in the journey of finding a home in a place that is all but, and the cultural elements warmed my heart as a first-gen daughter of Indian immigrants. But unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me - and that’s okay! It may be the perfect book for you!

Thank you Random House, Ballantine, and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Very interesting story and one that you keep asking yourself which group of women do I fit in. Am I part of the clique that follows one charismatic leader blindly, am the charismatic leader, or am I the one who is on the fringes of the group but still is an outcast? And what will happen to all of them when the leader dies? Seems like there could be a sequel to this story.....

Not my favorite book. A story about a neighborhood of cheating spouses with an ending so abrupt I thought I had skipped some pages

This book was a slog to get through. I forced myself to keep reading, but it felt like I was back in school struggling through a homework assignment. Boring and seemingly pointless.

I received this advance reader copy via NetGalley.

Dirty Laundry was a great thriller, about women trying to fit into their selective neighborhood. It was enthralling and kept me guessing!

All is not as it seems when you see people flaunt their perfect lives on social media. This book was a titillating domestic thriller that follows a clique of women in a neighborhood. They are all desperate to fit in and belong yet they are all hiding deep secrets that they want to keep hidden. These secrets reveal themselves to explosive consequences. A book not to be missed .

Ciera married her husband,Gerry, solely for his money. They own the biggest and most glamorous home in a little village in Ireland. She’s a lifestyle influencer on social media; while her life seems perfect online, her life is a mess.

She is close knit with most of the mothers around the village, except her neighbor, Lauren. Ciera finds it ridiculously funny when Lauren is struggling to manage her three children and snaps photos to share with her online followers.

Mishti, Ciera’s best friend and neighbor, looks up to Ciera at first but when she starts to notice what a terrible person she is, it makes her question her entire friendship. When Ciera starts flirting with Mishti’s husband, Parth, Mishti learns that Ciera has done more than a little flirting with the other husbands around the village.

What happens when you flaunt too much dirty laundry on social media? You find out that, deep down, nobody will catch you when you fall.

This book reminded me of Desperate Housewives mixed in with a little Mean Girls. The multiple POV’s gave readers insight on what everyone in the neighborhood thought about Ciera. She was definitely stirring the pot amongst her family and neighbors. It was only a matter of time before someone put an end to her cruelty.

I have to admit, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I thought I would. It was still good, but it fell a bit flat.

Ciara Dunphy has it all, an expensive home in the small Irish village, an exclusive group of friends, devoted husband and perfect children. Adding to this she is a lifestyle influencer and as soon as a post hits it gets tons of instant likes.
The inner circle of friends each have their differences though, one is a woman from Calcutta in an arranged marriage raising her children in a country so different from hers. The other, the butt of jokes is the mother earth type, a monodisciplinary parent and gives advice in a mother's group chat that no one follows.
The women are not supportive of each other for the most part.
The writing is very well executed, I like this author's writing style. The plot is fast paced and will keep you on your toes.
As much as Ciara leads others to believe she's living the perfect life with her online followers in reality she's falling apart and won't be able to keep up the facade much longer before it disastrously all crumbles down upon her.
"A twisty, domestic suspense debut about a clique of mothers that shatters when one of their own is murdered, bringing chaos to their curated lives."
Fast paced twisted plot will keep your attention.

I was surprised how much I liked this.book - a very unexpected find! The characters were believable and the twists were very true to life. I can’t wait to read more from this author

Hmmm? “All is not what it appears to be.” or “I want to kill her myself.” would not be surprising thoughts to have as you read through the timeline and various back stories of this novel. At the center is a neighborhood Queen Bee and her subject drones circling her attractive hive to their decided detriment. This is a quick read and one that was entirely entertaining from beginning to end. Thank you Ballantine Books and Netgalley for this early read.

Dirty Laundry follows village neighbors Lauren, Ciara and Mishti as they navigate their friendships, marriages, infidelities and ultimately, the death of one of them! As their village mom group is basking in the perfect life that social media influencer Ciara presents herself as having online, she secretly has another side of her that her thousands of followers don’t know. Lauren grew up in their village and has always been the “odd one out” and even her own husband calls her aloof. She struggles to get along with the other moms, especially Ciara. But Lauren tends to gravitate toward Mishti and tries to befriend her before Ciara and the other moms can convince her otherwise.

Who really committed the crime? 🧐🧐

Disha Bose did an AMAZING job writing this book and I truly enjoyed it! I cannot wait for you all to read it when it is released in April 2023!!

I don’t normally like a story where I can’t relate to or don’t like any of the characters unless it’s well written. This one fits the bill of a good read. Hard to see how women treat each other, gossip and try to portray unrealistic lives to fit their sad goals. So much pressure right now to be so perfect and turn your nose up at those who don’t fit in. Interesting ending choice! I liked it!

Intense domestic thriller. A twisty story about a small group of mothers living in a village in Ireland.

Ciara Dunphy is a well known social media star living what looks like a perfect life and perfect family. When you peel back a layer, however, Ciara has quite a few haters. After Ciara turns up dead, there are many, many suspects. Follow the flashbacks and POV's from multiple and unwind the story to find out what happend! This is a unique story due to its setting, I loved the slight cultural differences. If you like domestic thrillers, murder mysteries and anything Irish, Dirty Laundry is for you!
