Thank you so much to Netgalley & Marie Still for the e-arc of this book in exchange for my honest review!

I’m going to keep this one short & simple: this book was just ok. I found all of the characters to be super unlikable (especially the main character, Cass), the twists were extremely predictable, & overall, the drama could’ve been resolved if Cass had just left her cheating husband Ethan from the very beginning. I also felt there were some things that could’ve been elaborated on a little more such as Ethan & childhood.

If you’re looking for a quick read with a psychopath main character, add this to your list.

Infidelity, stalking, and a murder - great ingredients for a fun and twisty thriller debut! I think a lot of people will love this book, but for me it was a bit of a disappointment because I figured out all of the twists (and the ending) other than one twist. And the one twist I didn't figure out wasn't that exciting (in my opinion). I also had a hard time connecting to or liking any of the characters - they all had a variety of somewhat annoying characteristics.. But I loved the various POVs, especially having Ethan be one of the narrators. I would definitely read another book by this author. Thanks so much to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC!

This was a super fast paced read, but then went so over the top I got whiplash . If you are in the mood for just a fun little read that holds your attention but can suspend belief this is it. It reminded me of a lifetime movie. But with that said it was still enjoyable and I read it in one day. It is very aptly titled "We're All Lying" for a reason and I think the title does it justice. There are no characters in this book that are redeemable but that worked for this! I liked the different POV's but could totally figure out what was going on early but it still held my attention. Told between Ethan, Alice and Cass's point of view I would have to say I prefer Cass(hate Ethan!)! But everyone was despicable. Long story short this was a fun read but not anything I haven't read before.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for my advanced my copy

This debut thriller by @mariestillwrites was such a great last read for the year. This book hit all the marks for me. The story was engaging and once it hits you with the first twist, it feels like they keep coming. The things that I really look for in a thriller:
✅ fast paced
✅ unreliable narrator
✅ twisty
✅ dual POV
✅ unpredictable

And this book had all of them, 5⭐️ for sure

What a wicked, twisty-turn little novel!

It was interesting to watch the way Cass and Ethan reacted to the pressure exerted upon them by outside forces. I thought the characterizations were superbly written, I thought the dialogue felt real, and I frickin' loved Julie!

Thank you to the publisher for gifting me a copy. It is my pleasure to write an honest review.

Cass seems to have it all. A successful job, a handsome husband, two great children, a beautiful home... until she gets an email from her husband's lover, complete with explicit photos - but - the woman's face is blacked out.
She is frantic to find out who the woman is, and confronts her husband. He refuses to tell her.
Then, her assistant, Alice reveals who the woman is. A member of Cass's staff. She is fired and the stalking, emails and texts begin.

No one knows her dark secret, and she intends to keep it hidden.

A very fast paced psychological thriller. It was very tense, and I could barely put it down.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fast paced, domestic thriller. I enjoyed this book but wish the author delved deeper into the husband's secrets. I read this in one day!

Cass is a successful working mother with a handsome husband and two children. But it all comes crashing down when she finds out her husband is having an affair through an email with Emma.
Her perfect world is falling apart and she is seeking revenge. But later, Emma has disappeared and now Cass is a suspect.

I loved reading about Cass's character as she digs herself deeper into a dark hole. She is a victim, a liar, an instigator and so many more layers in this book. I had most of the twists sniffed out early on but still devoured this read, hoping for more. And there surely was!

I’d have enjoyed a bit more from Cass’ husband Ethan. His character had much to offer in the lying department that could have been explored deeper.
Page-for page, this was a great thriller I enjoyed beginning to end! Can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Read if you love:
* Unreliable narrators
* Dual first-person POVs
* Ominously creepy vibes

The story is fast-paced, there is always something new going on. I loved that the book started with Emma’s disappearance since it prepared you for the escalating suspense.

I would definitely recommend the book to others!

This novel is difficult to review. It wasn’t written poorly, but the main character was very unsympathetic and I think when a book focuses on cheating and the loss of trust in a marriage, the narrator should make us feel bad for her or empathize. Her histrionics were very off putting.

Thank you NetGalley for proving me with an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. This one was a 4 star rating for me. What would you do when you find out your husband is having an affair? How far would you go to make sure he stays away from her forever? Would you give him a chance to try and redeem himself? When everyone in your immediate circle is lying how do you believe or trust anyone? Your husband, your best friend and partner, your Administrative Assistant of 10 years all are trying to support you through this difficult time.....or are they? This story had me hooked and get me wanting to read to see the outcome. There were a couple of times where I just wanted to smack the main character for her stupidity but other than that it was a great psychological thriller. Enjoy!!

This was a fast-paced, intense read! If you love the fried and true formula of wealthy woman with a corporate career + seemingly perfect drama + drama ensues, then you’re going to LOVE this.

Although we mainly stay with our protagonist, Cass, the author sprinkles in multiple perspectives to sow doubt about the likely outcome, and I found myself enjoying how the changing characters helped the story feel fresh and light on its feet at points when it might otherwise have started to feel a little drawn out.

I will say that I spent about half of the book thinking I had the ending figured out, and I was partially right but the author saved it with an enjoyable last minute additional twist! A prefect read for any fan of the domestic thriller genre.

I cannot believe this is a debut! This author will be on my list of must reads and can't wait for more books from her.

Cass is a successful working mother with a handsome husband and two children. But it all comes crashing down when she finds out her husband is having an affair through an email. Her perfect world is falling apart and she is seeking revenge.

I loved reading about Cass's character as she digs herself deeper into a dark hole. She is a victim, a liar, an instigator and so many more layers in this book.

There were twists and turns throughout the entire book. At the end of each chapter I was quickly turning the page to find out what happened next. The pace was on point and there was NO dull moments in this book. I wanted to slap the husband and his mistress from the very start. Then as his character evolves throughout the story, I hate him even more! The ending was just as exciting as I thought it would be when I figured out who did the actual killing. While I knew who the killer was, I did not see the other twist that accompanied it!

I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

This is definitely a suspenseful read with a lot of drama. I had a hard time connecting with the characters tho because they were all for the most part, horrible and well liars. Alice was just nuts. Emma came out of left field with crazy. And i was just unsure about the husband. Definitely a wild read but i wanted more redeeming characters.

Cass has the perfect life. She has the perfect family, perfect friends, perfect job. Until she receives an email from her husbands mistress and then is anyone who you think they are?

This story drew me in just from reading the synopsis. The characters were well developed because each chapter was written from a different person’s point of view so you could hear and see what each character was doing, seeing and feeling. But even with all of that plot information, I never saw the twist coming at the end!

Thank you NetGalley and Marie Still for this eARC!

This book is a pretty good fast read. It sometimes veers too closely to be melodramatic/unbelievable, but barring that it was entertaining. Cass has a seemingly perfect life, but how much of it is real including what she shows to the world. The book is told by three narrators, Cass, Ethan her husband and her work assistant Alice. All with secrets.

This was SO good! And it’s a debut? WHAT! 👏 Hi, I’m Shannon Jump, and I’m officially a Marie Still fan. 🙋🏼‍♀️ The caliber of writing in this novel is just fabulous; I was impressed from page one. From the highlightable metaphors to the sometimes dark humor, the plot, the pacing, the red herrings...gah! I loved it all.

Read if you love:

* Dual first-person POVs
* Ominously creepy vibes

Marie Still is definitely one to watch! 4.5 stars, rounded up!

It wasn't a bad book, but I had trouble connecting with the characters and the plot. The story was a bit ridiculous, and later on it became repetitive too. I think there are much better domestic thrillers out there, this one didn't stand out in any way to me.

We're All Lying is about family, lying, secrets and trust....

Cass has a loving husband Ethan and two kids, also with a successful career that people may be jealous of her. When you think her life is perfect, she put in her all effort to hide her secret. One day Cass received an email that sent by Emma who was Ethan's mistress. for the juicy part , yes with some photos along.

But later, Emma disappeared. Apparently who was the biggest suspect?

Along with the reveal of the relationship between Cass and Ethan, also Cass with her colleagues, things were getting clearer.

The story started at a steady pace, when it came closer to the end, it was intense! The twists were mind-blowing. Though it contains some of swearing words, but still the vocabularies that Marie adopted were inevitably useful to build your dictionary for non-native English speaker.

Cass has it all, perfect husband, two kids and a successful career. When she opens an email one day to find pictures of her husband, Ethan, and his mistress that perfect life is gone in an instant. Cass confronts Ethan and that’s when the stalking starts. She soon finds out his mistress is her employee and it all goes downhill from there. Ethan and Cass try to work it out but then his mistress, Emma, goes missing. Cass is blamed for her disappearance and all the secrets she’s been hiding slowly bubble to the surface. Will her and Ethan work this out? Will her family survive this?
.
Who would’ve thought I’d be reading another psychological thriller? I read this book simultaneously with another thriller for a buddy read thinking it would calm my nerves, but psych it didn’t 😂 This book was simply amazing! You know everyone’s lying so you are trying to piece together the lies throughout the whole book. You get multiple POVs of Cass, Ethan and Alice, her assistant. I put together who was actually to blame for Emma’s disappearance but only right before they admitted it. Even after you find that out there’s another twist and it literally blew my mind. If you want a twisty psychological thriller that will keep you turning the pages this is the one for you

A debut?! Really!?

I think we’ve all had the thrill taken out of our thrillers this year. But from the first page of this little known delight I was hooked!

Cass has it all. A handsome husband, 2 beautiful children, and a full partnership at a very successful ad agency. I mean come on, what could go wrong? But of course now it seems Cass’ world is about to come tumbling down after simply opening one email.

Now we sit back and witness Cass as her picture-perfect life disintegrates. Her marriage, career, maybe even her freedom!

I loved following Cass’ character as she seeks her revenge while simultaneously digging herself into a deeper and deeper hole.

I had most of the twists sniffed out early on but still devoured this read, hoping for more. And there surely was!💃

I’d have enjoyed a bit more from Cass’ husband Ethan. His character had much to offer in the lying department that could have been explored deeper.

Page-for page, this was a great thriller I enjoyed beginning to end! Can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.
