So beautiful. This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read. Historical fiction.

Love is the one thing Lady Remington Hartfield has never had in her life, cast out by her overbearing and demanding father, dismissed by her self-absorbed and apathetic mother, she does not know where else to turn for help but Wellesford’s handsome vicar, has always been kind and protective of her. Vicar Adam Carstairs has built stone walls around his heart, determined never to let anyone in again after watching his beloved and gentle brother die in his arms during the war. His brother was meant for the clergy and should never have been on a battlefield. Then Lady Remi burst into his life.
A short well written charming read. The characters have depth & I really liked both Adam & Remi & I also loved their journey to a HEA. Both had lots of baggage but I loved Remi for not giving up, the chemistry & attraction between them was there from the start
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

A short novella where things moved along quickly as you would expect but still packed with the usual sweet characters as you would expect from this author. I only wish the story were longer although it did do all you needed it to do and the rush was needed to get Adam to act. Although published before hadn't read it which was a blessing. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was very fortunate to receive an ARC from Netgalley of The Dream of Love written by the amazing Meara Platt. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Vicar Adam Carstairs is the vicar of Wellesford. The parishioners adore him and think him quite fabulous. Lady Remington Hartfield has a heart of gold and loves saving creatures. While saving a fox from her father's hunt, she hides herself and the fox in the church but is soon found out. Her father gives her an ultimatum to apologize or find herself disowned from him forever. All she ever wanted was her parents love, she never got any from them. Adam and Remi's journey to solve her dilemma brings them closer than they ever thought possible or probable. This is a sweet novella with characters we have met from previous 'books of love' series. A very sweet romantic coming together story.

Although I would have loved more between Remi and Adam I think this story was the perfect length. The story would not have worked as a full length novel because there needed to be a short deadline for Remi to find a husband. You should probably read at least one of the other books from the series to fully understanding the "Book of Love" and its contents. The opening scene of this book will definitely get your attention and the undeniable attraction between Adam and Remi will keep it until the last page. I really enjoyed how open and honest Remi was about everything, especially with Adam. It certainly cannot be said of her that she sat back and let life happen to her. I loved that she pursued Adam and didn't give up on him when he shut himself off from her. Of course you know these two will get together in the end, but it was a nice journey that unfolds to get them there. The final chapter with Adam returning home was so sweet - it not only reunited Adam with his family, but it also gave Remi a family of her own.

Disowned by her family, Remi seeks shelter among her friends. The Scottish vicar Adam always has been attracted to her and when her father threatens to marry her off, Adam steps in to save her. As this is a novella, things moved along quickly. I only wish the story were longer! I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it could have gone into more detail with the characters but it was very action packed, steamy and enjoyable all the same.

I fell in love with The Dream of Love. It is a sweet and heart felt romance. I enjoyed the chemistry between Adam and Remi and the dialogue between the two is wonderful. It is a short novella that flows and perfectly written with a perfect happily ever after.

Another great addition the Book of Love series. This was such a lovely story. I have wanted to read Adam's story since he made his appearance in an earlier book. He was such a lost soul, especially for a vicar. I felt sorry for Lady Remington because I know exactly how she feels with having unloving parents. The book was a novella so it was a quick read, but complete story with a happy ever after. The characters are all well-written and loveable. Meara Platt is an amazing author.
