God Gave Me Mommy by Pamela Kennedy is a sweetly illustrated and written book about the ways a Mommy loves her child. I love the variety of examples the book gives about what a Mommy does for their child—from the fun things Mommy and child do together to Mommy teaching her child about Jesus. God Gave Me Mommy is Pamela Kennedy’s endearing story about the special bond between a mother and her children in this delightful rhyming board book.

Mom and baby animals illustrate the main theme of thankfulness for moms as they engage in various activities together like picking beans, sidewalk chalk painting, sliding on sleds, and praying.

The togetherness and shared love on these pages is sweet and soft. My favorite is the giraffe Mom who helps her little one learn a Bible verse. The skunks who gather rocks together are too cute! Also a wise old mama owl who helps her little one learn letters and numbers and a mama elephant who offers sympathy and understanding when her little one’s day isn’t going well.

Beautifully illustrated, this charming board book will captivate children ages one to four. The gentle rhyming text is upbeat and age-appropriate. At 22 pages, it’s just long enough to engage little ones without over-taxing their attention span.

God Gave Me Mommy is a refreshing affirmation of maternal love that reflects God’s love, too. Perfect as a cherished gift for Mother’s Day or any time!

Okay, so I really enjoyed reading this book to our children. We have very diverse age ranges, yet from the smallest to the tallest they all enjoyed this story! It would make a great baby shower gift, or for a child’s birthday gift! “God Gave Me Mommy” is sweet, well illustrated, and had a lovely message for children. For those looking for a positive, cute, Childrens story book, “God Gave Me Mommy” would be a great choice of book to pick up.

This book is adorable! Each page talks about all of the different things children do with their mothers. The illustrations are adorable, featuring cute animals on each page. The rhyming story and fun pictures will definitely keep children engaged!

Oh mayn this book is a delight! This book is a celebration of the relationship between mothers and their bundles of joy. It shows and highlights the different activities that kids do with their mothers and celebrate them. Cannot recommend it enough. I absolutely love it. Kids will love the plot, the illustrations and the overall theme of the book.

God Gave Me Mommy celebrates the ways that Moms nurture their children. It features a mom and child working, playing, learning, and shopping together. It focuses on gratitude and that our parents came from God. As a foster parent, I would find this book really useful to teach children the way that God designed motherhood to be.

This book illustrates the bond between mothers and children beautifully! The illustrations are lovely and this is a sweet book to share with little ones!

So very, very sweet. Told in verse, this celebrates the love between mothers and children from a Christian perspective. The animal pairs are adorable and the illustrations are lively and cute! It shows a soft and tender view of mothers as one who teaches, encourages, guides, and has lots of fun with her children. This would be lovely to use in Sunday School or Children's Church to discuss the gift of mothers and would be a wonderful present for new moms or Mother's Day.

This is such a sweet book with beautiful illustrations. My 4 year old loved this book, and afterwards gave me the biggest hug and said “I love you mommy”. I loved that most of the things in the book, my daughter and I actually do together.

The book story, illustrations and variety of animal mommy’s and babies were so sweet and made for such an attractive beautiful story. Featuring over 10 different animal pairs doing a variety of tasks together, God Gave Me Mommy is simple and heartwarming and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Sweet book about thanking God for mommy, but there isn’t much substance to it theologically. It’s cute and an easy read with illustrations that hold a child’s attention though!

A board book to read with your little ones. From elephants with their little ones to Owls, each mom and child are special. A special time to bond and be thankful for mom. God gave us a special gift in moms and the relationship we have with our babies.
