How they both admit to themselves about being each others nemesis is kinda cute. I was hooked from the first sentence. Quite funny descriptions about someone's behind. The writing is great, the structure retelling their complicated history is quite good. Olivia and Ben’s chemistry is obvious. would read this book again!
More than once as teens, Olivia thought she and Ben could be friends. Due to their shared familial issues, they should abe been able to relate to each other in ways others couldn't. Unfortunately, Ben seemed to hate her. Eventually she grew to hate him as well.
When Ben returns to town as their new sheriff 12 years later, he tries to avoid giving into his feelings for her, but his feelings are undeniable. Soon they are in love (or maybe just lust) but he has been hiding a secret and he knows once she finds our everything will be ruined.
I really enjoyed the read, the story was fun and experiencing the main characters grow as they fell in love and came to terms with their past was sweet.
Thank you to NetGalley and Melanie Munton for a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I cannot express quite how much I fell in love with this book. Melanie Munton's writing is raw and emotional, conveying the complex feelings of her hero and heroine so perfectly. The steam and the tension started out strong and only built throughout the novel.

So I thought this would be a fun light read but I find there’s way too much description of hard dicks and mildly pornographic descriptions of them including the vegetables. So I’m not enjoying it. The plot is lost amongst all the lust. Can’t waste my time finishing it.
O my gosh, this book was amazing! After I read ‘Reasons Why Not to Date Public Enemy CEO’ I knew I had to read the second book in this series. I was a little bit ashamed that it took me quite some time to read the first book, especially because I loved it so much. Luckily it didn’t take me that long to pick up this second book, because this one is maybe even better than the first one!
This is how Enemies to lovers need to be. Perfect chemistry, funny hatred between the MC’s and a perfect builded slow burn. Do you need more? NO! But it is so much more than just a simple ‘enemies to lovers’ story. Ben and Olivia slowly become friends and then so much more. The backstory from both characters was well written and added a lot to a great story. And just as in the first book, I also completely fell head over heels with Ben. A man with many layers and the way he adores (yes, ADORES) Olivia? YES PLEASE!
Yes, this was an amazing, fun and perfect read. Are you a romance lover? Read this, you won’t regret it. And while you read the book, I will be waiting (immensely impatient) for the next book!
Rating: 4,5 stars
A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This was an interesting story, with lots of bad history between the main characters. Olivia runs a B&B, and Ben is the new sheriff. Lots of chemistry, angst, drama and growing up. Cute story, well worth the read. 4 stars
absolutely adorable dual POV small town rivals-to-lovers romance!

The story was great and super well developed- no instalove, no rivals without a reason, great writing style.
I didn't expect much when I started reading but damn this book SERVED, I can now say I'm a fan of the author's work. This book reminds me of books written by Tessa Bailey, especially with the small town setting and the spice, which reminds me of the Bellinger Sisters duology. Reading this feels like watching a romcom series, probably because of the writing style which I enjoy, and the pacing which makes each chapter feel like a new episode.
Ben and Olivia were high school enemies who haven’t seen each other since. Years later, Ben returned to Shell Grove as a sheriff and met Olivia in the B&B she owns. They think nothing has changed between them, but they can't deny their growing chemistry.
The banter between the two characters was terrific. I like how there are actual reasons for enemies in this book. It’s amusing to watch them irritate each other and get on each other’s nerves while also teasing each other when things get messy. Olivia is a likable character, and I mostly enjoyed Ben’s sweet dirty talks with her, except for the part where he refers to her as "woman" far too often.
If you’re looking for a witty, funny, and romantic read with good spice, I’d recommend this for you!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED this book. Olivia and Ben have been nemesis's since high school and now after 12 years Ben is back in Shell Grove and he's the new sheriff. The plan is simple Olivia just has to avoid seeing Ben for the rest of her life.
The banter in this book is off the charts and the tension oh wow... This book is laugh out loud funny and also very steamy, sheriff Ben has quite the mouth on him....
Such an Amazing enemies to lovers romcom, I will be buying myself and everyone I know a physical copy of this book asap!!!
This was a cute lil romance story. From the title alone, you can tell it. Is going to be enemies to lovers. It was really cute!
Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
While this is a second book in a series, this book can easily be read as a standalone.
This book had me laughing out loud, swooning, sighing and holding on to my heart for dear life! What a fantastic and easy read! It's 100% a perfect beach read and I mean, who wouldn't want a guy like Ben to be their book-boyfriend?
The banter between Ben and Olivia is on-point. The moments where the lines blur (slowly but surly) are either adorable or just H-O-T.
I loved the character growth for both of the main characters - it wasn't rushed and I felt like I was actually along for the ride.
This a book that I will be adding to my physical collection and I can't wait to read it again!
I will not be giving feedback on this title because it had file download problems with Kobo. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the chance to read and review.
Ben and Olivia are enemies since an issue happened between their families when they were teenagers.
Ben was always the troublemaker of the little town of Shell Grove where they both live, but he left town twelve years ago when he was recruited to be part of The Marines. But he comes back to town to right a lot of his past wrongs by serving as a sheriff to his community.
Olivia manages a family business with her aunt in Shell Grove: The Paradise Cove Bed & Breakfast and she is also a masseuse. For some reparations that need to be done to Ben’s house, he has to lease a room in the B&B and then their story begins.
This book was such a pleasant surprise, it put me in such a good mood, it’s hilarious, funny and oh so spicy! Don’t let the cute cover fool you. Their hate was as strong as their desire and chemistry for each other and the banter was delightful.
Ben is such an alpha male all macho and masculine, but he is also caring, funny and thoughtful, he has a though past and made mistakes but he also works hard to mend them and become and better version of himself for him and Olivia.
Olivia the astronomy lover is sassy, selfless and sweet, she grows a lot and learns to live her life leaving her past behind and enjoy what life has in store for her.
I actually loved this book and have a great time reading it. If you want to know more about Ben, Olivia and her friend Buzzy Lightyear 😂 run and grab your copy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.
I loved this. The enemies to lovers. The spice. The chemistry. I’m only giving 4 stars because I started to get a little bored but still great!!
This book was fun and spicy. When former high school enemies Ben and Olivia run into each other in their hometown, ben not knowing it is Olivia asks her out and she says yes. This book was so much fun and I absolutely loved Ben and Olivia's chemistry and their banter was hilarious and was so entertaining to read. despite the differences they shared as teens they came together so beautifully and worked together so well, especially when helping each other through their past traumas.
Reasons Why Not To Date Your Nemesis was a pretty good read. It was steamy, sweet and cute among other things. There were parts that were a bit slow but it was still an enjoyable read. I truly enjoyed Ben and Olivia’s journey. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more by this author.
Okay I have to say theres not many books where the guy falls first. Maybe I just need to look for new types of books. I loved this! The small town enemies to lovers has to be one of the best trope combos. Couldn't put it down.
Reasons Why Not to Date Your Nemesis was my first Melanie Munton book and it was a very good place to start. I really enjoyed this book, it was very sweet and exactly what I’ve been looking for. You can really feel the chemistry between Ben ms Olivia which makes it so much better. Rivals to lovers can be really difficult to get right but this book done it perfectly. I can’t wait to read more by this author!
**I received an arc via NetGalley in return for my honest review**
The opening scene starts right off with her quite un-professionally ogling her massage client. Pervy alert right out of the gate. I thought it would get better when they realized who each other was and stopped objectifying each other, but noooooooo. They just got MORE crude and it started reading more like a porno. Keep your hands off each other for ten seconds, people. It's not believable that they actually have deep or real feelings for each other when they got from zero to horny instantly but claim they don't like each other.
I'm not opposed to an alpha male but this one didn't seem to fit. Misunderstood bad boy Ben Crawford returns to town to make amends. He's been in the military, and now he's the new Sheriff of his hometown. His nemesis, Olivia, was the recipient of his bullying behaviour but now she's grown up and moved on from her parents' divorce. Except she can't understand why her dad ran off with Ben's mother. Ben had all the makings of a hero, except the author let his sexual appetite override his personality. Frankly, it was disappointing. I started out loving the banter. But then I got hit with lines like, "Sit on it. Come ride your man" and all his character development went out the window. It's too bad. This one could have been good.
