What happens when three bachelor cowboys find themselves suddenly caring for a baby? Luke, Max and Noah are about to find out. They certainly didn't expect an unplanned visit from Dave, an old army comrade, and were even more surprised to find he's accompanied by his infant son, Sky. The real shock comes in the morning when they wake up to find Dave has taken off, but left Sky behind.

It's a toss up whether Jen Rossi is more exhausted or crazy with worry. A trauma nurse returning from serving six months over seas, she's desperate to locate her son, who was supposed to be in small town Quincy, CA with his father and grandmother. Only when she arrives neither of them are anywhere to be found.

A round trip, cross country trek eventually leads Jen back to Quincy and Luke's ranch. With a strong winter storm bearing down, Jen has no choice but to hunker down with the guys at the ranch. Surprisingly, it's taciturn, often cantankerous Noah who bonds most closely with Sky, and finds himself somewhat unwillingly drawn to Sky's mom. Forced into close quarters by the storm, the attraction between Jen and Noah grows. But neither of them believes in forever, so what happens with the storm is over?

Noah and Jen have both been knocked around by life. They're cautious, wary and untrusting that anything good in their life can last. Their pain and insecurities are apparent, but so is their need for each other. The careful lid they keep on their feelings may just be enough to drive them apart, but it may also be the only way for them to find their way to a forever neither believes is possible.

I've been a fan of Ms. Pearce's writing since I read the first of the Morgan Brother's Ranch series (HW is still my favorite Morgan brother). I was intrigued by the title of this book and I jumped at the chance to read it. Ms. Pearce has a real knack for creating engaging, poignant stories told with a touch of humor. Her characters are honest and sensitive, people with whom the reader can identify and connect. This first in a new series is a great addition to Ms. Pearce's catalog. I anxiously look forward to Luke and Max's stories.

I really enjoyed the story! The 3 men were not only cowboys but retired military and you could see that they all were struggling with some things that happened in their past. Noah was very closed off at first but then realizes he didn’t give Jen a fair chance. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop, then when the dad comes back in the picture, things get a little messy.

I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it to others that enjoy a romance book.

Fun story about the importance of communication and not jumping to conclusions. When a former military buddy shows up on his ranch with a baby, Luke and his friends, Max and Noah are astounded. When Dave leaves as quickly as he arrived, leaving the baby behind, shenanigans ensue.

When the baby's Mom shows up weeks later and the truth comes out, the guys are furious with Dave. As snow and extreme winter weather keep them stuck at the ranch feelings between Noah and Jen intensify . But can the irascible Noah share his true feelings with Jen or will he juno to conclusions and ruin the best relationship he's ever been in.

Three Cowboys and a Baby by Kate Pearce
Three Cowboys #1

Excellent way to spend this cold Christmas Day in the village. It may not be as cold here as it is in the USA this Holiday or as cold as it was in the story, but it was nippy and this story warmed me in more ways than one.

What I liked:
* Jen Rossi: mother, midwife, Navy lieutenant intermittently deployed away from home, difficult childhood, peacekeeper, good in a crisis, problem solver, attracted to Noah
* Noah: ex-Marine turned cowboy, planner, caretaker, problem solver, supportive, caring, good with children, drawn to Jen but not always able to share his feelings
* Sky: Jen’s son, under a year old, adorable, linchpin and major player in this story
* Luke: ex-Marine, leader in the military and on the ranch that he owns, boss, son of Sally, calm, supportive, a good man, want to find out who he ends up with
* Max: ex-Marine, good friend, likes to stir the pot, good team member, going through a rough patch with possible PTSD, wonder what his book will be like
* Noah’s sisters…briefly mentioned but wonder if Bailey might end up with Luke or Max
* The setting, plot, pacing, impact of the weather, and the interactions between the characters
* The ending and wondering what will happen in book two

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like – that said…if Dave the doofus hadn’t been who he was and did what he did…there wouldn’t have been this story.

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review.

This was not my favorite Kate Pearce book, but it was ok. I really get irritated by the stories that are HEAVY with the inability to communicate issue. I do enjoy a good forced proximity book. So I went back and forth about how I felt about this book.

It was interesting to me with all 3 guys knowing how shady and dishonest Dave was, they weren't watching him closer. I wished Jen had been willing to fight Dave harder by taking him to court. He got off easily throughout the entire book. No one seemed to worry about him putting Sky in danger with his irresponsible behavior.

I did like Noah and Jen together. Especially after Noah got over himself. I liked the way Noah took care of Sky. Actually all the guys got points for the way they cared for Sky.

I thought the last 2 chapters were the best. I would have liked to read more of Noah, Jen, and Sky starting their lives together, but I guess that was not in the cards. I wonder if Luke and Max will get their own books. I thought they were interesting characters.

There were sweet moments, romantic moments, steamy moments, and completely frustrating moments. I can normally read a Kate Pearce book in one sitting. Not so with this one. It pulled me in, but didn't hold me the same way.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via NetGalley.

Three Cowboys and a Baby by Kate Pearce is an unapologetic take on the Tom Selleck movie from the 1980’s. This time though the heroes are all cowboys and not just any cowboys but ones who are former military too. Everyone knows that Marines are always faithful, “Semper Fi, OooRa.” So when a former buddy leaves a baby boy behind Noah Harding and his friends are going to care for him until the mother arrives.

A wonderful book with a younger Tom Selleck being perfect for the role of Noah. Perhaps a remake of the olde movie is needed with the ranch life as a backdrop. Who would play Noah now? This premise is better than the old movie’s. The characters seem genuine with distinct personalities and the problem of deployment and childcare is a true one. Please know that as the romance builds so does the steaminess.

A great start to the new series with two more retired marine cowboys needing their stories too. Look forward to each one.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A baby, Jen and some cowboys....

Wow. Kate must have really wanted to put Jen Rossi through the wringer. She takes a Navy woman and has her baby daddy abandon the kid with three random (but responsible) cowboys., Then sends Jen across the country by bus to track down where her kid is (whch takes weeks) then back again across country...makes her hike in in a storm and then has Noah point a gun at her head, then has Noah act like she thoughtlessly abandoned her kid, instead of being on duty and at sea. So, yeah. Noah and Jen do not get off to a great start. Can we say Noah is super judgy?
But I liked Jen and I did like Noah, despite his total judgment.
So, recommend.

I enjoyed this fun cowboy story. Noah, Luke, and Max are shocked when a friend ditches them with his baby, Sky. It quickly becomes clear that the friend is not too familiar with reality at all and has lied about his situation with the baby's mother, Jen. While Jen is trying to get to Sky, Noah takes care of Sky and starts to get attached to him. He makes a lot of assumptions, and Jen knows better than to correct him. She lets him figure out the truth by himself. That goes on a lot in this book, and it is a bit annoying at times. However, Noah shows real character growth by the end of the story because he has realized a few important things about himself through this. Jen has some issues from her past that she has to face too, and Noah helps her with those. Yes, I did get annoyed with these characters sometimes, but that just made them seem more real. Most of the book was highly entertaining, and I look forward to reading Max's and Luke's stories.

The start of a trilogy about three ex marines who all have returned home with a problem or two. Luke Neilson returns to his family ranch along with his friends Noah & Max When an old military buddy Dave turns up at the ranch, Noah Harding never imagined that Dave would skip out overnight and leave his baby boy Sky behind. Noah will have some choice parenting advice to offer when the baby’s mother turns up, but until then, he’ll do his best to take care of the little one. Yet when a relieved Jen Rossi finally tracks down her son, Noah realizes the story is more complicated than he thought. Jen doesn’t expect much from her unreliable ex, but she’s shocked to return from an extended mission and discover he’s abandoned their son with three men she doesn’t know. With a winter storm settling in, she’s stuck with the three guys.
A lovely series starter the characters are well portrayed & have depth. I loved both Noah & Jen, oh my but the chemistry between them was hot! Things didn’t start too well between them & Noah had a habit of jumping in with both feet, making two & two make five & totally getting the wrong end of the stick. He did learn his lesson but very slowly! Jen is down to earth & a peace maker & certainly pulled her weight whilst the storm raged & the ranch was cut off. Sky was a total delight & had everyone wrapped round his grubby & sticky fingers. I loved how Noah & Jen’s relationship developed but things weren't straight forward plus Noah could have listened more! A well written captivating read
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

This is the first book in the Three Cowboys series. Noah lives and works on a ranch with his two friends, Luke and Max. They all served together in the Marines and are each dealing with, in their own way, their issue from serving on active duty, war and death take its toll on a person. The three guys find their hands full when their buddy Dave leaves his infant son with them and sneaks off after fill their heads with lies about his ex. Noah already has his opinion of Jen but Jen is no delicate flower and isn't afraid to stand up to Noah. The poor woman has been through a lot to track down where her son is. Steamy, but also made me smile and laugh. My eyes almost got stuck from rolling them so much whenever Jen's ex opened his mouth to speak, how anyone can be that self centered and clueless is beyond me. I'm really looking forward to the Max and Luke's stories. Can't wait to see what the author comes up with for them.

Enough steamy romance to melt through the harshest blizzard!

Wow - this book is going to make you feel like you've settled in for a "Long Winter" filled with equal parts humor and heartbreak, sexy times and tragic times, and a whole new look at what makes a family unit.

Jen is trying to co-parent little Sky with his party hearty father, Dave, who is supposed to take care of the baby while she's deployed. But when she's finally on leave Dave and the baby are no where to be found. It takes her weeks to track her son to the ranch in Northern California where Dave dumped the baby on his three bachelor friends, men he served with who were not the least bit surprised by Dave's irresponsibility.

Noah, one of the unwilling babysitters who believed Dave's tales of his ex, met Jen at gunpoint once she finally hiked her way through the unusually heavy snow to find her son. I loved the way these two were at odds right from the start, and how they had to work through layers of misconceptions and lies to figure out just what the future held for them.

Jen has a lot of baggage from her own dysfunctional upbringing that motivates her to set everything aside except what's best for her son. I readily identified with her as a mother, and thought the author did an outstanding job of showing the emotional turmoil she went through trying to balance everything out.

Noah's partners - ranch owner Luke and unpredictable Max - are more than just background characters. I really enjoyed how the author gave life to all the characters throughout their time in weather-related forced captivity. All of this is happening during the worst blizzard on record, resulting in more than one life-threatening situation and enough work to keep everyone busy while they sort out what they're going to do once the weather again allows for contact with the outside world.

This is the kind of story that grabs you by the heart right from the first pages and doesn't let go until you're sighing with relief at the beautiful HEA. I loved every bit of it, and highly recommend it for anyone who loves contemporary cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

What a cute story! Jen has to travel across the country to collect her son, who was left with friend’s of her son’s father. Three handsome cowboys, all with their own issues to contend with. One cowboy in particular, has caught her interest but only because he seems to disapprove of her. Being caught with all of them in a big snowstorm doesn’t help.
I loved this from beginning to end. Might we get more from Max and Luke in future books?
5 stars!!!

I loved this story. A strong woman is always a good read. A good story of love and it takes a village these.

Love the movie, love the book. Loser, self centered dad, frantic mother, 3 handsome ex-Marines Cowboys and 1 adorable baby. Dave visits his old buddies from his days as a Marine, but is antsy to start his new job. Co-parenting with Jen isn’t easy and his mom decides to live her own life and not watch Sky all the time. So he skips out on his friends and leaves Sky behind. Luke, Noah and Max can’t believe Dave just up a left Sky with no warning, but that is Dave, totally irresponsible!
Jen was delayed on her ship, so she is late to take over the care of Sky. When she doesn’t find Sky at Dave’s mom place in San Diego, she hops a bus to Florida where his mom has a place. Never one to answer her phone Jen has no choice. Now she is frantic when she finds out that Dave has Sky and isn’t in Florida. Finally she finds her son and is treated like she is the worst mother by Noah. Being exhausted and late Luke invites her to spend the night, but by morning the weather turns and they are snowed in at a very isolated ranch.
The characters are very well developed, each having their own quirks. Looking forward to reading what the next cowboy will get himself into. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I must have been in the mood for a book like Three Cowboys and a Baby because I read it in one day.
Three prior Marines now cowboys…..and a adorable baby boy.
Lots of drama going on with some laughable moments as well as some steamy moments.
I loved seeing Noah’s and Jen’s relationship grow.
Baby Sky was such a heartwarming addition to the story.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this book!
Is this going to be a series???? I really hope it will be! I want to know more about Luke and Max and Noah’s sister, Bailey.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Three Cowboys and a Baby by Kate Pearce is a contemporary romance novel. The book has some flawed main characters who seem to be incapable of having an adult conversation that doesn't include jumping to conclusions. Noah struggles with things that are not cut and dried and jumps quickly to conclusions. Jen is gun shy over families and men. She needs to do what she can to provide a good home for Sky (her son).

The ranch is up in the mountains and all the characters are trapped there until the storm abates and the passes open up. Interestingly, it was a long, long time before they were able to leave. Jen, as a nurse, luckily could help the cowboys when they got banged up.

I love Kate Pearce’s books. Her cowboys are always great characters and I enjoy reading about a “good cowboy”. I did become disgusted by how Noah was clueless at times, especially when he thought he was being respectful. I also felt the book might have dragged a bit at times. Having said all that, I will continue to read and enjoy Kate’s books.

Three Cowboys and a Baby by Kate Pearce is a good read.

Cowboy Noah isn’t happy to see his ex Marine buddy Dave show up at the ranchg and is even more surprised to see he has a baby with him. Because he saved LukeS life and it’s Luke and his mom Sally’s ranch he welcomes him in. Noah Luke and Max do their best to try and help Dave fine baby skies mom Jennas family that lives in town but when they can’t Dave supposedly get his mom to agree to take baby sky until Jen Rossi can come for the him. A snowstorm has blew through the northern California town Town and Dave’s rental car will not make it so Luke agrees to take them in his moms truck but when Noah wakes up the next morning and goes to feed the dogs and horses he notices somethings missing and it’s Luke’s mom‘s truck and on further investigation he sees Davis missing as well but he forgot something and it’s baby sky. While all this is going on generosi it’s finally made it to San Diego she cannot wait to see her baby but when she arrives at Dave’s mom‘s house the neighbor comes out and tells her she is gone to her Florida condo and yes she has the baby. So back on the greyhound Jen goes only to arrive days later to find out the baby isn’t there. Dave will not respond to her calls or his moms so she starts a social media shame session and he finally respond and let her know baby sky is safe across the country in California. I forgot to mention Dave had a job in Africa that he just couldn’t pass up nor could he tell people about it or where he was going but he could’ve at least told them he was leaving. so after a good nights sleep she gets back on the greyhound and goes to Northern California and when she arrives the waitress at the café tells her yes she did see a guy in here with Noah Luke and Max and he had a baby and when she tells Jen they’re only 4 miles out of town she decides to walk. after caring for the baby for three weeks Noah not only cares for the little guy but he has some choice words for Jenna Rossett but her arrival is just the beginning of the story and his dislike for her although evident Will soon change when they are force to wait out the weather because when they blew up as I said he took the only truck with the snow chains. I could go on and on talking about this book. When I saw the title I knew I was going to love it and love it I did! I love this book and I see it is the first in a series and I cannot wait for the next one. I hope Max is next but either way I will take Luke.. I love this book and love books like these so much! A real five star read! I highly recommend this book it is a great romance I received it from NetGalley and Kensington books but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

This was an entertaining, steamy western/ex-military novel. Three ex-marines run a cattle ranch miles from the nearest town. When their friend Dave, also ex-marine shows up with a baby they greet him with open arms. But then Dave disappears during the night, leaving only a note and the baby behind. Jen has no idea where Dave or her baby have gone. She is on leave from her Navy hospital ship and travels cross country by bus to Dave's mother's house only to find she is on vacation. Back on the bus she goes to get to the vacation spot. They figure out where Dave has taken the baby and back on the bus, across the country goes Jen. When she finally gets to the town, she discovers all roads to the ranch are closed due to a threatening snowstorm. No storm will ever stop a Mama Bear from getting to her cub. She hikes in on foot only to be greeted by the sound of a cocked shotgun. She isn't letting that stop her. She will just get her baby and hike back out. Except those ex-marines aren't letting that happen.

Three Men and A Baby, by Kate Pearce is a contemporary romance story. When Sky’s mother is delayed due to natual disaster, and his grandmother travels to Florida, his father, Dave, is left to care for him alone. Dave has a deployment approaching with no one to take his son, so he secretly takes him to old friends and leaves without notice. When Jen returns from deployment, she is left wondering where her young son is as she travels across country to find him, twice.

This is a nice story in that is shows the brotherhood of military members as well as the emotional aspects of deployments. It also brings out the seriousness of the extra responsibilities military members have when they have families. I also enjoyed the relationships between Luke, Noah and Max. I especially liked how Noah stepped up to care for the young child. The story is nice in showing how everyone works together to get through the storm that leaves them stranded on the ranch when disaster strikes. This would be a fantastic story to read, but I felt the use of curse words and detailed sex was too much.

I voluntarily received a ARC copy of this book, this is my honest review.

Noah, Max and Luke are working a ranch together. They are all former military, and an old pal shows up with his baby. He's supposed to leave the baby with its Mother Jen Rossi. After not locating Jen in town Dave leaves during the night and leaves baby Sky behind. Noah is tending to the baby since he really raised his 3 sisters.
Jen has return to the US and is trying to locate baby Sky and no one knows where he left the baby. Dave finally contacts her with the information on Sky's location.
When Jen arrives in town there is a terrific snowstorm and ends up walking to the ranch and getting snowed in with the 3 men. Luke says he has never seen a storm like this before and the men are now trying to save the cattle. Noah doesn't like Jen because she left her baby with Dave for him to take care off and everyone knows Dave is only out for his self.
The longer Jen stays the more Noah is attracted to her. Can they find a way to be together?
Great read looking forward to more of this series.
