Witchcraft has always been something that intrigued me. I have collected a few books about it and learning more every time is delightful. This book gave me cozy feelings, from the cover to the inside! The first part of that book is really interesting, it helps you understand what being a witch is, what kind of witch exist and how to incorporate witchcraft in your kitchen.
If you want to make the recipes in that book, you will definitely have to prepare beforehand as some of the ingredients needed are not what one commonly finds in its kitchen.
A very beginner look at kitchen witchery. I would have liked to have seen a little more on the background, deities involved and possible rituals. Recipes are good, but again, very standard. Nothing to steer you wrong, but nothing that you can't find elsewhere.
This is a fun introductory book for kitchen witchery. It's a whimsical, cozy read. Easy to digest (ha!). And very accessible to newcomers especially. The witchcraft in question is based on Wicca, though, and I wish that had been stressed more in the marketing because that's a very specific approach to witchcraft.
The recipes are delicious. You can tell that the person who wrote this book sincerely loves cooking and food and that love is infectious.
Because it's for beginners, don't expect anything past surface-level information.
An easy enough guide on kitchen witchcraft. I'll come back to this for future reference. I liked several of the recipes and it was easy to read and understand.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very informative and helpful. I took many of the things I learned and I still use it. How to prepare my space, learning all the uses for what I have in the kitchen and how to make meals full of meaning and that will nuture you.
I find myself still referencing this book and finding new things to do.
I really liked how this book was set out. Part 1 had all the basics to setting up your own practice. Part 2 had applicable recipes and rituals to try in your own life. Overall, this book was exactly what I thought it would be based on the blurb and I felt like I received even more than I'd hoped with the heavy focus on practical applications which is sometimes lacking in these style of reference books.
This was a NetGalley review.
I loved this one! The information in this book is on point, very well explained.
It's easy to read and entertaining. I learned a lot and was able to get quite a lot of new information from this one.
I put it on my to-buy list.
Highly recommend if you are new to this and want to get started or if you are just interested in witchcraft.
Nice that there are key takeaways at end of the chapters. Writing is easy to understand and read. More of a very introductory book on kitchen witchcraft.
This was a nice addition to my reference books in starting to add some kitchen Witchery to my practice! Easy to follow and great tips!
This was a great beginner intro to kitchen witchery. It's very accessible, informative, and clearly written. Lots of fun recipes and ideas included!
Love this book so much! I read it because I had a feeling it would be a great gift for a witchy friend but I wanted to check out the recipes first, and I was right — this book is delightful and witchy and has amazing recipes! The purely lemon loaf cake sounds delicious and I can’t wait to gift this to my friend when it comes out!
I picked this book up as someone who loves cooking and is interested in learning more about witchcraft. It was interesting to see how these two things work together! It made me excited to be intentional with the spells I may use and do some more research.
I loved reading this book and found a lot of wonderful information for any new witch or a witch who has been practicing for years. I definitely recommend this to any witch who is always looking to learn something new.
I'm not really one for cooking, but this book was a good introduction into kitchen witchery. A lot of the spells were things I might actually use, especially the medicinal ones. It's a lot of good information in a beautiful, easy to understand package.
Discover your inner self. This book should be part of your self-care arsenal. We all need time to discover what we want, what we can do, and how to care for ourselves and others. This is the first step of many.
Kitchen Witchcraft for Beginners is a very informative book full of useful information that I am glad to add to my toolkit.
This book was adorably helpful in a structured way. I read through it with my teen and they loved it. It touches on several different things, but most of it is based in Wicca, not actual witchcraft. I found myself comparing it often with the works of Silver Ravenwolf. Unfortunately, this is only a beginner book, so it really only touches on the most helpful things. However, if you are looking for a way to introduce someone to the practices of Wicca? This book would be just fine. It clarifies some things like cultural appropriation, intention, and the wheel of the year.
Ultimately, you get a decent collection of recipes, but you will still need to do even more research. With paganism, research is the name of the game; so don't expect every detail of this book to match up with your particular practice unless you are wanting to do a Betty Crocker cake mix version of things.
For readers looking to find a simple, easy to understand entry level into the basics of kitchen witchcraft- this book absolutely serves that purpose. I'd hoped to find more history and detailed knowledge but while it is admittedly a bit surface level for anyone who is not a beginner, the book covers truly important content like closed practices and the importance of not appropriating. I definitely appreciate that! The illustrations are very charming and even though I'm not a beginner, I bookmarked several of the recipes and spells for later use.
This is the Perfect book for a new kitchen/any kind of witch. It covers everything you need to get started on your magical path. You will learn how to put your intention into your cooking, healing, and how to create your own spells. This book is a gem!
Very informative book. Full of a lot of useful information. This book will also be very useful for future reference
