Although it wasn't a wow romance, it was a fluffy and cute read. One thing I really enjoyed about the story is how the resident fought to make sure pregnant people had the resources they needed, which is something that needs to be done all the time in real life.

I received a copy of the book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions

Sadly, I went on too many requesting sprees when first starting out on NetGalley and it has tanked my ratio. Now that I’m taking my role as a reviewer more seriously, I’m being more intentional with the books I request and clearing out my shelves of books that I’m no longer interested in.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book. When I finally read it, I will come back and write a review.

This was a cute, fun and slow burn romance read which I enjoyed. The characters were enjoyable and I quite enjoyed the overall story.

I love office romance and a hospital is a whole other animal. The world-building was great and the banter was priceless. I'll be reading more of Woolridge in the future!

Eh. Two doctors meeting reminded me of yours truly, but that one hit a lot harder. It wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t great either.

This was a really sweet and gorgeous rom-com with delicious chemistry between the two main characters. I really enjoyed.

I previously read a book by this author and found it quite entertaining and this one also did not disappoint. Sam and Grant meet for the first time during an emergency on a plane and let's just say they were no warm and fuzzy feelings. They later find out they will be colleagues in the same hospital. Sam is an OB-gyn and she has an idea to start a program for pregnant woman, only she needs the hospital board's support to do so. She doesn't have any luck with them, and although Grant is the last person she would want to ask for help, he just may be the only who could help her achieve her goal. This definitely brought about some fun and amusing moments which had me smiling and laughing along the way. Grant and Sam couldn't be more opposites, with him organized and efficient, and Sam being such a mess. But they found they worked well together and as they spent more time together, things started to develop into something more.
This was a charming and delightful read that was easy to get into and I enjoyed it. I would definitely like to try more of this author's work.

I'm always a sucker for a medical romance (Grey's Anatomy, anyone?!), and Anatomy of a Meet Cute delivers in spades. This delightful enemies-to-lovers romance is set in a maternity ward, where OB-GYN Sam is determined to help improve maternity care, especially for women of color, at a time when all the statistics are moving in the wrong direction. Getting the bigwigs on the hospital on board might be harder than she thinks, and she'll need to enlist the help of colleague, Dr. Grant Gao, whom she's gotten off on the wrong foot (in one of the most hilarious meet-awkwards ever on a plane). Grant seems the last person in the world to help, or is he?

This slow-burn, sizzling romance checks all my boxes, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a gold old dose of Dr. McDreamy - Dr Grant Gao style. Loved this book from start to finish!

Sweet and funny romcom that felt like the cheery love story I wanted from Grey’s Anatomy instead of getting my heart ripped out each week.

I wish this went a bit deeper into some issues but overall this had me smiling while reading and was easily bingeable.

I do like to mix my genres and felt like something light and fluffy so went for 'Anatomy of a Meet Cute' by Addie Woolridge. It's been on my NetGalley for months and this, being the summer of de-cluttering, I decide to de-clutter my virtual shelf too.

Dr Samanatha Holbrook is a healthcare undergrad with the field of OB-GYN and wanting to make pregnancy more accessible for everyone in the local community, she pitches an idea for pregnancy centres with a more patient-centred approach. The initial meet-cute was on an aeroplane with Dr Grant Gao who she mistook for someone who was high on drugs and as luck would have it, she needs Dr Grant to help her get this idea off the ground. Cue the will-they-won't-they dynamic plus some tension a la Greg's Anatomy.

In the synopsis we are told it's a story of bad timing and friendship so what could go wrong? It has a lot going for it and it was a fair story but it didn't grab me as much as I'd hoped. It was a bit of a struggle I'm sad to say. That said, if you like friends to lovers and books with a medical setting, go for it!

I DNF’d this Rom Com. It seemed to want to be a enemy/rivals to lovers, but no one told the MMC, he was perfectly nice and liked the FMC. There wasn’t any real chemistry between the MCs and FMC kept tying to find ways to not like the MMC.
But what caused me to DNF was the complete lack of any understanding of how medical research works and I just mean the job descriptions. FMC graduated from Med School, but calls herself a medical researcher and not a doctor. That was the beginning of the problems that kept kicking me out of the story.

Anatomy of a Meet Cute by Addie Woolridge is a charming romance that will have you falling in love with the characters and their story. The synopsis drew me in with its promise of bad timing, good friends, and fresh starts, and the book did not disappoint.

The main character, an ob-gyn, starts off on the wrong foot with a fellow doctor at her new hospital. But as she tries to make a fresh start, she finds herself drawn into a project to improve pregnancy care in the community. Along the way, she may have to swallow her pride and ask for help from the very colleague she clashed with.

The story is heartwarming and well-written, with relatable characters and a plot that keeps you engaged. The romance between the main characters is both infuriating and endearing, and you can't help but root for them to get together.

Overall, I highly recommend Anatomy of a Meet Cute for anyone who loves a good romance with relatable characters and a satisfying ending.

I was hoping for something different with this one. I wanted a doctor romance and instead got a heavy women's lit book with lots of drama and issues. It just wasn't what I wanted. I didn't even really like Sam and I was confused about Grant. I very much enjoyed Jehab and Duke.

This was a SLOW BURN! I thought it was going to be some intense enemies to lovers type deal, but the pacing was too slow for me. The writing was all over the place and I feel like I missed the chemistry they had?

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC.

MAN THIS BOOK WAS SO FREAKING CUTE AND ADDICTIVE!!
I absolutely love books with a medical setting. So, when I discovered Anatomy of a Meet Cute on Netgalley, I knew I had to read it! Sam was such an incredible character. As a healthcare undergrad, I loved seeing her passion to make healthcare more accessible to people from unprivileged backgrounds. I was really invested in seeing how her program for the same worked out in terms of the story, and I wasn't disappointed.

Sam and Grant's romance was really great too! I adored the slow-burn between them because that factor gave them space to grow as friends first, even though they had undeniably attracted to each other from the very first chapter. I loved how the story was not completely focused on the romance, and rather highlighted Sam's journey and growth.

Will totally recommend this for my Grey's Anatomy fans! 4.5/5 stars <3

This was a very interesting book. I usually don’t read books in the medical industry because I work predominantly in the veterinary industry which is very closely related, but I think this book pulled off with focusing on the personal and extracurricular activities and also about creating studies and trials which came across as quite authentic. Although I didn’t go in very much detail. It generally was authentic, which I also think as to medical professionals it was very well done as it was a slow burn. They got to know each other. It was an Insta loving and you can understand why each character was coming from within this book. Although it was from both perspectives I would love a second book in the series to be about her best friend, as I did love her and this book and the best friend and I just fell in love with this world that was created and I would love to hear more

Anatomy of a Meet Cute is a cross between Greys Anatomy and a Hallmark movie. The characters are honest and hard working, with noble goals. As someone who works at a hospital, I appreciated the level of detail and time spent researching for accuracy of dialogue and system. However I do think it sort of falls short of a romance novel and instead is more in the women’s literature. There is a romance but it is slow burn and swift, and more time spent on other ancillary topics to consider it front and center. Side note - loved the roommates and would totally want more of their stories.

Thank you to the publisher for my eARC copy of this book. Unfortunately I didn’t love this book and therefore didn’t finish, I just didn’t connect with this one. Not for me, sorry.

This is the first book that I've read from this author. This was a cute love story that had a slow burn romance. It sucked me in and kept me reading! I always love reading a romance and this one was great! Highly recommend!

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an early copy.
