Melissa Tagg’s A Seaside Wonder stole my heart, turned it inside out, and then made everything right with the world again. It was such a beautiful story. I loved Indy and Phillip so much. This story had all the things. It has mystery. It has love. It has some tough subjects that Melissa Tagg wrote sensitively and made you feel everything that goes with it. If you loved book one then you will love this one. It continues the on going mystery that the first book has, but it’s on the back burner and you don’t need to read the first book to know what is going on. But I think you will want to read this beautiful series of books. This book will become a part of you and stay a long long time.

A wonderful follow up to Autumn by the Sea, could a chaotic meeting and case of mistaken identity lead to a lasting love?

Indi Muir has worked hard to prove to her family that she has her life under control, so when a near stranger get's mistaken for her fiancé she doesn't correct them right away. Philip West wants to help a heart in need, and he doesn't want to make things worse for Indi who is already in over her head. I loved how he stands by her and is there for Indi through tough times, giving her space, and doing his best to be supportive of a woman who is quickly becoming a friend, and perhaps more.

I loved revisiting the familiar faces from Muir harbor, Philip was easily a favorite with his quiet caring, and support, while working to reconnect with his sister. A heartwarming family drama, with well developed characters, strong faith, and romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I am enjoying the Muir Harbor series! Melissa has a way of writing that captures your attention from the very first page. I love how the family has their differences but they always find a way to work through things. This story was about Indi and how things of her past never quite let her go. It's a sweet story of healing and growth and finding purpose in life. There were moments I was left in suspense and did not want to put the book down. It was an enjoyable read and I would love to have it on my book shelf!

I grateful to NetGalley for giving me a chance to read and review this book!

The second book in the Muir Harbor series follows the story of Indi Muir and does not disappoint. Book 2 follows the story of Indi and the past she has spent hiding until she meets shy Phillip as he tries to navigate raising his teenage sister. As the two grow to know each other and sort out their own pasts they find a place of hope and learning to get past the pain.

I've always really enjoyed Melissa Tagg's stories and Muir Harbor has become a place that I can't wait to return to and to learn more about the Muir family. This is the perfect summer time read.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a sweet contemporary novel with a surprising mystery twist.

A sweet romance which started out with a mistaken identity, grew into friendship and so much more. I enjoyed the link between Phillip and Indi’s adoptive mother.

What I enjoyed about this story was the deeper, harder topic of adoption. Not only because Indi was adopted but she also gave up a child for adoption. The author did a great job of showing the emotional struggles of this decision even though it was the best decision.

This emotional deep story will touch the heart of fans of contemporary fiction.

A Seaside Wonder is Melissa Tagg's second book in the Muir Harbor series and it is just as wonderful as the first! Seaside Wonder brings in characters Indi and Philip who are precious characters, both dealing with personal wounds and secrets. As the story progresses a little mystery is introduced giving the storyline something a little extra! Seaside Wonder is a fun and enchanting book. I do recommend reading book one, Autumn by the Sea, first.

Indi Muir and Philip West both have a heart breaking past and thought they could keep it in the past, but after meeting one another and a break on Muir farm, a new mystery brings together familiar heartbreaking memories to both Philip and Indi and they will learn that that sometimes the best way to move forward is to confront the past.
This book kept me going and by the time I made it to the end I wanted to read the next one. I truly enjoyed Indi’s story in this book as I relate to her in some extent, same with Philip. They are both two of my favorite book characters ever.

Gorgeous read. All the charm I fell in love with in book two of this series, characters so wonderfully crafted they feel like friends and an ongoing mystery I am so excited to fully unravel. Melissa Tagg has outdone herself with this unconventional family set in the seaside town of Muir Harbour. So much emotion, such realistic and relatable struggles. A delight from start to finish.

A new favorite book for me. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. This book has romance, family history, sadness, treasure hunters, crime, Christmas and so much more.
A Seaside Wonder had me hooked in the first chapter. The story is about family and family relationships - some good and some bad. The characters make a combination of poor and good choices during their life. As a result, there is a need for healing and understanding. The range of ages of the characters make the book interesting. We are never too young or old to make mistakes in our relationships. It is also never too late to say you are sorry.
Christmas is a favorite time of year for me. Part of the story is about a town that leaves Christmas decorations up for most of January. How fun!
Next for me - More Melissa Tagg - the first book in this series.

Really enjoyed the return to Muir Harbour. I loved the relationship between Indi and Phillip, they were super cute together and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop, they both went on journeys of growth and healing within their families which was written very well. Like the first I enjoyed the mystery and suspense that is woven through the story, and can’t wait for book 3 to come out to hopefully find out more.

I always enjoy books by Melissa Tagg, and this one was no exception. A Seaside Wonder starts out with a breakup but quickly moves into a chance encounter with a stranger that keeps popping up in Indi's life. The family dynamics and growing relationship between Indi and Philip are a delight. Tagg's books are more than just romance, they are about life and love. I can't wait for the next one!

I can never decide which of Melissa Tagg's fictional families are my favorite, but the Muir family is definitely toward the top. I love her family dynamics and the way she pulls the reader in with deeply emotional wounds that cause them to band together while others pull apart. Excellent setting that makes me want to move into Maggie's yellow house by the shore. Philip and Indi are adorable from the moment they meet. I mean, who wouldn't love a Narnia-loving professor?

I read the author's first book several years ago and she has never disappointed me. This second in a series is a wonderful story. Perhaps more than anything else it is a story of love and healing . It is also filled with family and even suspense. The story elements were woven together well. The plot and character development were well done. Elements of faith were skillfully dealt with and fit in organically., making natural sense in the story and the characters feelings and life circumstances. You really care about the folks in the story. I highly recommend this series and checking out other works by Melissa Tagg.

It's an entertaining, humorous, quick ready and a lovely love story that did not really need the interwoven crime story.

I loved reading A Seaside Wonder by Melissa Tagg, the second book in her Muir Harbor romantic mystery series set in Maine. I especially loved the meet cute in the story. Indi is Maggie Muir’s adopted daughter who owns artsy antique stores in Muir Harbour and Augusta. Philip is a history professor in Augusta who, many years ago, found an old love letter written by his grandfather to Maggie Muir.

When Philip discovers Indi’s store in Augusta, and sees the owner is Indi Muir, he wonders if she’s related to the Maggie Muir mentioned in his grandfather’s letter. Philip wanders into Indi’s store and accidentally eavesdrops on a conversation taking place at the back of the store where Indi’s fiancé is dumping her. Philip is shy and socially awkward, and when he hears them leaving the back of the store and heading to the front, he makes an impulsive decision to hide in a wardrobe.

Indi discovers this strange man in her wardrobe, and wonders if he’s looking for Narnia. A family emergency phone call from her sister, while she’s trying to sort out the Philip situation, sparks the beginning of a friends-to-more romance between Indi and Philip.

Indi and Philip are adorable characters who are struggling with many issues. They both have a challenging and emotional journey to travel in the story that pushes them to face their fears and deal with painful situations and circumstances from their past.

The cast of minor characters are fascinating and the series mystery, set up in Autumn by the Sea (Book 1), is partly solved. New questions arise in A Seaside Wonder that deepen the series mystery. These questions will be addressed in the final third book in the series that I can’t wait to read. I recommend A Seaside Wonder to contemporary romance readers who like friends-to-more romances with a mystery subplot and a relevant faith element in the story.

An emotional story with so many twists and turns. Such an inspiration into good and mixed-up family, showed just a little about how I can make a difference with my own attitude.

I really loved this story about Phillip who finds a letter he thinks his great uncle wrote to Maggie Muir so he goes to Muir Island to see if any Muirs are still there. He finds a shop that says owner Indi Muir and they end up meeting each other in a sticky situation and thus things begin with Indi getting a call that Maggie is has had a heart attack and is on her way to the hospital and Phillip drives Indi to the hospital . Now anything else I tell you might just be a spoiler so I am going to suggest that you get the book and read it as it is a VERY GOOD READ.
