I really struggled to finish this story. I just didn't feel like it flowed well. It really bogged down and made it easy for me to put it down for other stories. The characters seemed to change their spots overnight instead of a gradual change. BUT it is a middle reader book, and I think my 5th grader would enjoy it much more than I did.
