Adam and His Tuba is a beautiful illustrations book about finding our own path for children. Our MC Adam was born from famous circus family. it is mean each of his family members great with unique talents. Adam doesn't show any interest in circus trick, does something wrong with him or Adam will found one talent that suited him well?
I was genuinely impressed with the meaningful story inside this short book. Younger readers will learn that every talents are important and they can explore all of it freely without expectations burden from people surrounding them. The book features lots of mesmerized classic rustic illustrated pictures and make me can't stop open it so many time. It is totally beautiful artwork and worth to keep at library or as personal gift.
Thank you NorthSouth Publishing and Netgalley for provided my copy. Really appreciate and my thoughts are my own.
Touching story about finding your own voice for our little readers. I think that this book is suitable for a bedtime story. When reading, I tried to imagine my mum reading this to me and I felt nostalgic. 🥺
Graphics were also well-made and kinda cute. If you are looking for a cute short book with a message, don't think twice just buy it.
Adam and his Tuba has incredible and beautiful illustrations (looks very rustic). I also love the story and how it's beautifully written!
Adam is the youngest member Von Trapeze, a family of circus performers. His family worries when Adam shows no interest in being a circus entertainer. He incorporates his love of the tubs into a circus act and learns he can follow his own path.
Read Adam and His Tuba, translated from Slovakian, to promote discussions on individuality, self-awareness and being yourself.
Adam is not like the rest of the circus performers in his family, and he struggles to fit into any expected role. It is not until he has tried and failed to perform or follow any of the other acts, that his family finally comes to the conclusion that maybe Adam just needs to be asked what he actually wants to do!
As the family go searching for Adam to ask, they hear him playing the tuba alone in his wagon. Suddenly the family realizes that even though he hasn’t followed a traditional route, Adam has always had incredible talents of his own.
I cannot state how much I loved the illustrations of this book. Everything from the drawing style itself to the color palette drew me in immediately and made me want to go back a second time to just take them in again.
With its simple wording, and easy to follow meaning, I would highly recommend this book to be read aloud for younger readers, or to be enjoyed by early readers on their own.
This story is so cute and teaches children about the importance of listening to people who have different wants or needs than themselves. The illustrations are so beautiful. Just a cute magical book.
Adam and his Tuba is a unique story about Adam who's family owns a circus and they try to make him participate in it. The illustrator made a fantastic job. I loved the color combinations, the illustrations, all of it. I loved this book.
This is one of the most beautifully illustrated children’s books I have ever seen in my life. I was absolute blown away and left in awe. Absolutely stunning. The story within the illustrations is every bit as beautiful. Adam was born into the Von Trapeze family – a family that loves performing in the circus more than anything. Adam, though, the youngest of the family, doesn’t exactly feel this way. Unsure of what is wrong with Adam and if he really does have a special talent like they do, they are blown away one day when they hear Adam playing the tuba beautifully. Lo and behold, Adam, the one they least expected to be the star of the show, becomes a star in his own right and gets to join in their beloved family tradition.

First this book has beautiful artwork. This is a great book for this time of year I think because of circuses. I always kind of find circuses mysterious which is perfect for the spooky season but that just might be me. If you're really into circuses this is a fun book to read. It's about Adam, who's a part of a circus family. They all have unique individual talents. Adam isn't interested in any of those them and he finds his own way with the tuba. He learns to find his own way and integrate his love for the tuba into the circus performance acts. It's a very cute sweet story.
Great artwork and a very nice story as well. If you love carnival or circus than this might be a good pick!
The illustrations in the book are fantastic and the story is lovely!
Both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this little book!
