"Lucy's dark eyes light up, and the smile that spreads over her face is pure brilliance, bright and warm like the California sun.
It's about damn time, Hart.
Finally. I finally got it right."

After being ignored and unappreciated by her boss one too many times, Lucy quits. She walks out of Miles' life, determined to become a travel influencer and kiss her life as a personal assistant, as well as the crush she's had on him, goodbye.

Three weeks following resignation day, Miles is a mess. He needs Lucy more than anything to get his work life back in order, so he tracks Lucy down with an offer he knows she can't refuse: an assistant for her to spread the work load with, as well as double her original salary.

Lucy doesn't want to go back to the way things were, so the two wager a bet. Two weeks on the road together and whoever backs out of the roadtrip first, loses. If she loses, she goes back to work for him. If he loses, she gets her annual bonus she forfeited because she quit too early in the year.

These two were such a hilarious pair!! I really loved reading these two get to know each other and read their mental gears shift as they developed feelings for one another. It felt like I was on the road right alongside them as they made their way over to California down Route 66!

I enjoyed the mini bits of vulnerability from these characters, but felt a little rushed through these moments. I felt like I wanted to learn more about them, especially since they spent so much time together.

Such a fun read! This was my first Jennifer Bonds book and it definitely will not be my last.

Enemies to lovers going on a road trip adventure and having to be in close proximity the whole time? Sign me up! This was a cute enemies to lovers with a travel setting! Lucy quits her assistant job after feeling like she does not matter to Miles. She embarks on a Route 66 adventure with her grandma's airstream to become the next travel influencer. In a bet to have her come back, Miles tags along for the adventure. The two learn a lot about each other and finally realize their feelings for each other. I loved the setting, the dual POV and the travel component. The chapters were just the right length! I enjoyed the growth of Miles going from bachelor billionaire to realizing he can settle down and love a woman. Lucy was a strong character that was a big go-getter with lots of determination. This was a fun read and I would recommend! Thank you Net Galley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. Views are my own.

“I told you,” he calls after me, “I’m in this for the long haul.” Not if I have anything to say about it.

It was my first book by the author and it was considerably good! While I liked the plot and the blurb and cover caught my attention, I wanted to see some more chemistry between Miles & Lucy. They became an actual couple when the book neared it's end. However, the epilogue scored some bonus points. Some parts of the book felt flat but I enjoyed the little challenges that Miles & Lucy threw at each other throughout their journey. I liked the writing style and enjoyed the concept of a boss and employee going on a road trip together, so overall it was a 3.5 star read for me.

I loved this book. It contains an Administrative Assistant who had reached the end of the road with her Billionaire Boss and quits to write a travel blog with the help of her Grandmother’s 50 year old Airstream trailer. What she doesn’t see coming is that her former Boss decides to tag along. He realizes that he can’t function without her, she realizes that sharing space with her crush is not going to be easy. Traveling Historic Route 66, they encounter kitschy locales, wild animals and realize that maybe they are looking for the same thing.
Jennifer Bonds has done it again. Five stars for the storyline and humor.

This book was a fun, light hearted breath of fresh air! Lucy Gonzalez is the personal assistant to Miles Hart, a self-made billionaire. She gets fed up with not feeling seen by him and quits to become a travel influencer road tripping along Route 66. Miles quickly realizes he need Lucy as his life becomes chaos when she quits, so he makes her a friendly bet. If he wins, she will come back to work for him. If she does, Lucy will get her annual bonus she forfeited upon quitting.

This is a forced proximity romance, which is a trope I love! The connection between Miles and Lucy is genuine and I loved watching it grow as they go through shared experiences on their road trip. Their stops were hilarious, full of crazy hijinks from riding a bull to food poisoning. The level of spice was just right and well written. Lucy has a fire and sass to her that was fun to read. Lucy’s Gran is a free spirited and hilarious secondary character that I could have happily read more about. I loved the author’s writing style and will be looking for more from her!

I liked the blurb and couldn’t wait to read this book, because — you know it — grovelling!

Sadly there wasn’t much of that, and truth be told I don’t even know why there should be.

Lucy had worked (and pined) for Miles for the past two years, not exactly showing or expressing her feelings to him, and she expected him to like her back? IDK, man.

And then there was the inconsistency. It was implied that Miles didn’t notice Luce and suddenly it turned out he noticed her? I don’t get it. It got confusing at some point.

The plot was okay. The influencer thingy and ambitions and everything, but there weren’t depth in the relationship, just like Miles. I didn’t connected with the characters and it was all very… unexciting.

It was sad, because the premise was promising but the story wasn’t well delivered.

2.5 stars.

Thank you Jennifer Bonds, Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for an eARc in exchange for an honest review. Miles and Miles of You is out November 7,2022!!!

Miles and Miles of You is a road trip romantic comedy between a women who just left her job for being underappreciated as an assistant and the boss who didn't notice her. Lucy has left her job as an executive assistant to CEO of a instant cash sharing app Miles. Lucy decides she is going to try being a travel influencer and her first trip is the historic route 66. In an effort to win her back to working for him Miles invites himself on her trip and makes a bet with her that if he finishes out the road trip she has to come back to work for him. Through the miles traveled, and after each quirky adventure will the two realize that their relationship is more then a boss and his assistant.

I thought this books was super cute and funny, it was also a very quick and easy read. The characters were both sweet and funny, and they were able to overcome some of their own issues from their pasts. Their were only a couple of instances that there were main side characters, but when they did come in their participation was very help fun. This also I think makes they story intimate in the fact that you have a lot of them interacting. If you are looing for a quick, steamy fun read Miles and Miles of You is exactly what you are looking for!

This book made me reminisce on when my best friend and I drove from Georgia to California! I absolutely loved their banter throughout the book and I thought they were such a cute couple. I can't wait to see what comes nect from Jennifer Bonds.

The blurb of this book hooked me, it sounded like it would be a fun, light read, perfect for snatches read here and there between baby feeds.

The pacing of the first two chapters was super-fast and showed the main character, Lucy, quitting her job over a teensy weensy issue (her boss Miles didn’t listen to her morning briefing). The plot is supposed to be centred on her feeling underappreciated, leading her to quit, so it was odd that we didn’t see that.

The characters also seemed fickle in their convictions. Lucy is supposed to be someone who plays it safe, yet we see her taking risks, and while this might sound like a small issue, I found myself getting pretty annoyed when I was reading it.

Apart from the flaws, there were also some good parts too.

Anywone who knows me knows that I’m a HUGE fan of Mariana Zapata’s books, so after reading the synopsis of this one -which is kinda similar to The Wall
of the Winnipeg and Me- I clicked the request button faster than The Flash ever could.

I went in expecting a similar book to twowam but I can happily say that not only it is not but It’s also a pretty good rom-com. (@/netflix - @/hallmark a movie when? 😏😏)
Once finished I was ready to pack my stuff and start travelling the Route 66 (which constantly reminded me of Overwatch lmao) but sadly it’s not exactly doable since I’m in Italy so I’m happy to have lived vicariously through Lucy because it was SO COOL.

I really loved the road trip aspect of the book even tho I usually don’t like it; loved also the banter between our mcs; the hilarious moments and the fact that it was such a quick and light read. I would have love to get more background information (like… we know that Lucy has been under appreciated by Miles for years while working for him, but I kinda wanted more scenes to see that myself and not just have Lucy tell me about it, idk if this makes sense lol).

Anyhow, super recommended to anyone who’s looking for a light, fun, road trip centered romantic comedy! I didn’t get bored once and I would definitely request it again if I could.

- bonus point for the epilogue with that ultra cute and original proposal. I got bored of epilogues were they propose or have a baby so I usually skip them (debatable I know, sorry not sorry) but this proposal was the coolest honestly.

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me this eARC in exchange of an honest review.

update: THIS IS THE FIRST IN A SERIES???? OMG I’M SO READY TO READ ABOUT MILES’ BROTHERS sjdbhvjvdv

the concept of this book was a lot of fun! road trip books are my favorite trope, and I am always down to read a new one. I loved the exploration and adventure of this book as well as how much the characters both got out of their comfort zone. however, I feel like the beginning was rushed and not showing much reason as to why lucy quit her job other than a few unkind instances but not really showing anything significant. leaving the beginning aside I feel that the rest of the tory was very well paced with great structure. I loved seeing miles slowly falling for lucy and vice versa. overall this was a quick read and so much fun.

Need a romance to keep you busy during a weekend full of never-ending football games? This would be a great pick to pair with some buffalo chicken dip and a nice, cold Oktoberfest beer!

Lucy Gonzalez spends her days organizing the life of her boss, Miles Hart - she takes care of his email, his schedule, his laundry, and even planning his weekly dinner dates with all the eligible bachelorettes of Austin. After a particularly nasty meeting, where Miles is blatantly ignoring Lucy, she decides to quit her job and become a travel influencer. In disbelief that he has lost his assistant and all stability in his life, Miles decides to tag along with Lucy on her first blogging road trip. What could happen between these two over the course of two weeks while adventuring along Route 66 in one tiny airstream?

I thought Miles and Miles of You was a really cute read. It was definitely very predictable, but that didn’t at all detract from the fun I had while reading it. I had a great pace that kept the pages turning - I started it on a lazy Sunday morning while my husband watched football and had to finish it before I went to bed. Miles and Lucy had great banter and I loved the travel aspect of this book. It definitely brought the spice too.

Miles and Miles of you is... okay. The steam level is pretty good, and the actual journey the characters take together on the original Route 66 sounds fun and made for some interesting scenes. But so much of the character motivations came out of nowhere and character development ended up being more tell than show. It also seemed like this book was maybe meant to be part of a series -- there were unseen characters referred to in ways that seemed to imply the reader should know who they were, but apparently this is a standalone book, so that ended up being kind of a turnoff. All in all, not a bad book, but not a great book. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity!

3/5 ☆

This was very lackluster for me. It took me a while to get into it so I kept taking breaks to finish. Everything felt a bit rushed and there wasn’t really any character building in my opinion. It felt a bit “telling” rather than showing. For example, Lucy quits her job by the end of the first chapter because she’s been under appreciated by her boss Miles for years. But we don’t really see any of that under appreciation other than some small comments that Miles makes.

We are also just expected to just go along with the fact that Miles, after not noticing how hardworking Lucy is all these years, decides to just hop along on Lucy’s road trip to become an influencer even though he is a billionaire at a financial tech company. I also just couldn’t get on with his sudden attraction to her. Just didn’t feel fully developed for me.

I really liked the concept of the book! The whole road trip aspect is cute. I liked that they explored each place and it got Miles out of his comfort zone, which allowed them to get to know each other a bit better. Overall, an ok book!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This was SO GOOD! I loved sassy Lucy and her pining, and I loved the ridiculous road trip and their antics.

Miles and Miles of You was a quality road trip romance. Road trip stories usually aren’t my jam, but I think this worked so well because it had the boss/employee + “bet” elements too.

Things I really liked:
- Lucy was confident and sharp in interactions with Miles, even if she doubted herself at times
- Miles working out his growing attraction to Lucy - it was really sweet to see him realise how incredible she was
- The detail of the road trip story line
- How funny the two of them were together. The banter was hilarious and their reactions to different Route 66 attractions were classic
- The steam was well done 🔥
- The epilogue (coolest proposal!)

Things that didn’t sit right with me:
- Sharing images of Miles without his consent. He was pretty chill about it, but this felt icky to me
- Miles having to lift Lucy up about her looks - I don’t like the way the hot billionaire has to be the one that gives her confidence
- I wish the grovel at the end was private! Live-streaming that feels awkward to me!
- I wish Lucy had revealed the extent of her pining!

In short: read this in one sitting, was bored 0% of the time, laughed out loud and in general had a great time. Will be buying!

Lucy is done being the perfect assistant and being ignored by hot boss so she impulsively quits her job and set off on a quest to become a travel influencer. Driving across the country and posting tips and reviews sounds like a dream come true until former hot boss insists on tagging along.

This book was a fast paced read but a lot of really charming scenes. As I zipped through it I wondered why I wasn't more excited about it, From Lucy's rash decision to quit over a slight so minimal that I was confused by her ire, to her often childish behaviors, I had a time connecting to a character I really wanted to relate to. It made the sudden attraction Miles feels towards her seem more about proximity than emotion.

Let me introduce you to your new rom-com book read! If this book is not made into a movie, I will be so sad.

This book had Hallmark movie vibes with really steamy scenes not made for television. I absolutely loved Miles and Lucy. You will too!

Lucy was a play it safe personal assistant that was quietly in love with her boss, that is until said boss Miles put Lucy in a position to quit and persue the spontaneous life of a travel influencer. What Miles doesn't account for is that he is LOST without Lucy, his life and his inbox are out of control and he will do anything to get her back, including go with her on her travels. Sparks fly with these two on the road.

This was definitely one of the best arc's I have received this year. I LOVED it.

Lucy loves her job….mostly. But after two years of crushing on her boss, while completely managing his entire professional and personal life, his ignoring her and taking her for granted has finally taken its toll. She quits and tells him she is going to be a travel influencer! Miles of course doesn’t believe in her so she is even more determined not to fail. After two short weeks of not having Lucy in his life, everything is in disarray and Miles is determined to get her back at his side.

Lucy has planned out her first cross country trip in her grandma’s “vintage” airstream and ready to show her followers how a real person can travel on a budget. Miles shows up with a proposition to go with her for two weeks and the first one to give up loses the bet…if she wins, she gets her bonus, if he wins, he gets her back and double the salary…but Lucy is determined to show Miles and everyone that she can take chances and have adventures and is all in. Being in close quarters for two weeks with the man she has been crushing on for years will be totally fine, right?

This was such a fun road trip down Route 66 as someone who lives close to some of these sites, it was a blast to see them featured here. Miles and Lucy has some insane chemistry and it was fun to watch Miles see Lucy for more than her ability to organize his life. I loved their banter and playfulness. I had such a good time reading this one. It seems that there are more books planned featuring Miles’ brothers/business partners and I am definitely excited to read more about this group of characters.
