Thank you NetGalley and Capstone, Capstone Editions for a copy of "The Baby and Me" in exchange for my honest review.

This story is a wonderful tool to use to introduce a big brother or sister to a new baby. It shows how there are many things that they can do to help with the baby, how they can teach their new sibling so many things that they already know. They can sing to them or play with them or even do something as simple as bring diapers at change time.

It also reinforces how a baby brother or sister will be a forever friend.

Delightful. The story centers around a new baby, excitement and internal fears of an older sibling. The story begins with the cover showing several families. Amazingly, a list can be made and the fears are fitting for every family.

The illustrations match the well-written and easy to understand fears of a new baby.

I would gift this to new parents, grandparents, caregivers, and babysitters.

As is true for many books addressed to young children, the text in this one is rhyming. The illustrations represent many different families and interactions. The tone is upbeat and positive.

This book offers a nice and optimistic look at the sibling bond. However, I think that this would be best as one of several books that a family purchases for an older sibling. For example, in A Baby Sister for Frances, it takes the older child a bit longer to come around. Some kids will relate to how Frances feels.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Capstone Editions for this title. All opinions are my own.

I really loved this rhyming book that includes great messages about finding appreciation and gratitude for your siblings and the special relationship siblings have. Sometimes kids need life lessons from a source other than their parents, and I think this book is a great example of that.

What a lovely book to talk about the experience of adding a new baby to the family! This short, rhyming book celebrates all the fun that comes with a new baby and all the neat things an older sibling can help them do and learn. The tone is very positive and loving and really focuses on the joys of the situation.

The illustrations are bright and lively. There's a wonderful diversity of families portrayed, so lots of kids will be able to see themselves on the page. This would be a fun and relatable read for toddlers and preschoolers who have recently welcomed a new sibling.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This is a beautiful book for children that shows them what it means to be an older sibling. I think the artwork is wonderful and I like how all of the characters are different. It warmed my heart to see the girl on page 11 had a hearing aid. I loved this book overall.

This book is beautifully written and illustrated. It depicts many kind of different ethnic background and beautifully illustrates what it is to be an older sibling/have a new sibling in the house and to meet them with calm, generosity and compassion. Loved it and will probably get that book for second time parents in my friend group.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC!

As a preschool teacher, having a new sibling join the household is a common occurrence. This story is about what the baby does (i.e. being loud when something is wrong, not being able to talk) and what the older sibling can do in different scenarios.
I appreciated the diversity that is represented throughout the pages in the book. I look forward to sharing this book with some of my families in the future.

This board book is about older siblings welcoming new babies into their families. It shows that even though this is a big change, older siblings will have many opportunities to connect with and bond with the new baby. Many books about new babies presume that the older kid will feel jealous, and by making this the focus, they can end up setting expectations for rivalry. I appreciate how this book focuses on positive emotions and experiences.

The illustrations are charming, colorful, and multicultural. They reflect many different kinds of families, including a brown adoptive family with a white baby, mixed-race families, and a family with new twin babies. Because this book covers the theme without following a single pair of siblings, it will represent and appeal to lots of different families.

What a wonderful book! We just added a younger sibling into our family recently and the last page hit me hard and made me teary. The whole books is so relatable and feels like they are scenes from our current daily lives. The illustrations are wonderful and I love the diverse families depicted. I cannot wait to add this to my kids' library.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Baby and Me was so cute! I’m a nanny to a 5 year old girl and a 2.5 year old boy who will love this book. G5 adores being a big sister and I can’t wait to read this to her when it’s available for purchase! I loved the vast range of people shown in the book. I also appreciated the page that says “now i’ll let Dad do the work” because a lot of older siblings try to do more than they need to in regards to taking care of their siblings. So cute and fun!!

This sweet rhyming board book is a great way to introduce a child to a newly arriving sibling and perhaps show an older sibling how to interact with a new baby. The rhymes flow well and the illustrations feature a visible #muslimintheillustration. The book shows babies being cute and silly as well as crying and being messy. #2023 #muslimsintheillustrations #muslimsintheilllustration #muslimintheillustrations #islamicschoollibrarian

This is a sweet rhyming board book that is narrated through the eyes of an older sibling when a brand new baby comes to reside permanently in the family.

I love the diverse characters of the multicultural families showcased and the fact that babies are cared for and treasured the same all around the world. They are precious gifts that every member of the family get to embrace.

The book celebrates different ways that an older sibling can interact and bond with the newest member of the family.
