It seems like there was a lot of history between these two that we don't read about in the book. The narrative referred to a few instances, but there were awfully strong feelings for not much interaction. Johnny and Katherine both had a lot of growing up to do, and I was about to give up on them when they finally made some progress. I didn't expect some of the twists, and by the end of the book I was glad for the journey they went on and the important lessons they learned along the way. I didn't read the first two books in the series and a large part was taken up by a continuing story from the previous book, so I didn't feel as much of a connection to those characters. There are also points of view from several characters, which I didn't care for- I think my limit is three or four, and this one had at least six. I recommend reading the series in order for sure!

We catch up on the lives of our friends in Middlefield, loved spending time with old friends. Even Sawyer's crusty Grandmother is here in Ohio!
Will she succeed in getting Sawyer to take over her company in NY, and leave the Amish and Laura?
Will Johnny Mullet finally grow up and see what is around him? Katherine Yoder has loved him since they were children, and he has joked and spurned her. Is he to late now?
Katherine has a new fellow interested in her...Isaac. He wants to take her to the Singing. When he needs to leave town he asks to write her. Now you will really wonder if Johnny is to late??
We all have to trust what God wants for our lives, and when we try doing what we want can result in disastrous results. Read along and enjoy this time spent with these sweet people. Experience their trials, and learn from their mistakes.
Don't miss the continuation of this story, you can read it alone, but don't deprive yourself, enjoy the first two also!
