This book was great. It answered a lot of the mysteries around the Pendergast family. The theme of the book took place in multiple times and places but it was easy to keep track. I can’t wait for the conclusion.

This book was absolutely amazing! It gave me everything I could have wanted out of a Pendergast book: mystery, suspense, sci-fi, and some of my favorite characters.
This book starts immediately after the events of the previous book, Bloodless, so I suggest that readers read that one first. In fact, since it references/includes so much information and so many characters from previous Pendergast books, it would be best if readers had read the whole series first. This book would be a hard one to just pick up and read with no knowledge of the Pendergast universe.
I loved that the book started immediately after Bloodless, as that book ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. After reading this book, I can see that Bloodless set this one up perfectly. This book starts off with the aftermath of Constance’s decision and leaves Pendergast to decide what he should do, and if it’s even possible to follow her to where she’s gone. I’m a fan of Constance but, without giving too much away, readers that are not fans of Constance might not like this installment as much. However, there are plenty of other characters we get to see in this story, too.
This book also ends on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see how Preston and Child complete this trilogy in the next book! 5 stars

Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child have once again written another hell of a book in the Pendergast series. This series always keep you on the edge of your seat and never disappoints. The character development keeps improving with each and every book in the series and this book is no exception. I recommend you read these books in order so that you do not miss important background info from book to book. A great series that keeps getting better.

The Pendergast series is one of my absolute favorite book series, and "The Cabinet of Dr. Leng" is a great installment. I can't wait for the next book to conclude the story arc created in Bloodless and now this book!
