Zach has left the Seals and is now working for a security firm. While on assignment he just so happens to be in a home and sees a woman whom he has not seen in ten years, Marrisa each has been on the other's mind but neither thought that they would see the other again. Now ten years later they meet she needs protection as well as her daughter which he finds out is his. This is a good book with good characters.
Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for letting me receive this book as an ARC.
A retired Navy SEAL doing an undercover job for Lydia and her daughter Charlotte. Lydia is on the run from her husband who turns out is a criminal. Zach the retired Navy SEAL runs into his old one-night stand. Turns out Marissa the one-night stand from ten years ago has his daughter. So while on his undercover job he steps up to be a father while staying with Lydia. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good romance.
This is a google book. The two main characters are Marissa and Zach. Marissa works for the forestry department as a trail guide. Zach is a retired navy seal and works for security company. Zach is sent to protect Marissa neighbors and best friend. He had previously meet Marissa ten years ago and had a one nightstand. Marissa got pregnant and had her daughter Lacy, who is Zach’s daughter. So he stays at Marissa’s house to protect all four of them. There is an instant attraction. Once they capture Marissa’s best friend husband, Marissa and Zach declare their love.
An enjoyable, quick festive read. It hits all the good points needed for a military romance. Given 3 stars as at times I wanted to bang their heads together, more times than I normally like.
Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.
I hate giving low ratings for books but this was painful, particularly Lacy. Her behaviour would have made sense if she was 16 but she was 9 and a total brat!

I absolutely loved reading this book! I could not put it down! I was drawn in from the start and found myself captivated by the story. The characters were great, very likable and relatable, and the romance was believable! The romance is steamy and the chemistry is intense. The story line is fast paced and exciting! I could not put this book down! I loved the characters and thought they were well developed.
I highly recommend reading this one! You won't be able to put it down either!

Ten years ago, Zach and Marissa spent one incredible night together, yet to this day he still can't get her out of his mind. Little did he know that that one unforgettable night made him a father. When he is assigned a stakeout at a house, never did he think that living next door would be Marissa. Marissa never expected to see Zach again, but she also never forgot about him and the connection they shared. Marissa let's Zach spend Christmas with them. Could this be the beginning of many more?
The characters were interesting and realistic with their own flaws, which made them more relatable. The connection between Marissa and Zach was strong and the chemistry clearly evident every time they interacted. This was another great story by a talented author, and I am glad to have had the opportunity to read it.

Having read several other books by this author, I was unable to get past the first 50 or so pages - even after several tries.
Marissa and Zach had a one night stand 10 years ago. It left Marissa pregnant. Zach is on assignment to observe a house next Marissa’s house. She is not thrilled She doesn’t want him near her daughter. When he sees his daughter he is shocked.
He is involved in a dangerous case. It puts his daughter and her friend in danger. The heroine is spunky and strong. Determined to protect her daughter at all costs. He is a strong Navy Seal. It was a well written story.
If you like romance and Christmas this will be one you'll enjoy reading. I had a good time with this story and will definitely aim to read more by this author in the future.
I unfortunately had to DNF this at 20%
I think it’s a great premise however, it was all completely rushed. All of a sudden he sees his one night stand and newly found daughter and she’s like ‘oh let’s introduce each other.’ I don’t know I expect more human emotions not something like meeting her daughters long lost father as something to breeze over and immediately jump into.
This was another great book with romance and action. Zach has just retired from the SEALS and he is now working on a new job. He is trying to protect a woman and daughter who escaped from her horrible husband. Zach is ready to follow them when he ends up hitting another car. When he sees that Marissa is the person in the car his is dumbfounded. His one night stand that he could never forget from 10 years ago was standing right in front of him. Even more shocking his her 9 year old daughter looks just like him. Will he be able to keep his targets safe while starting a relationship with his daughter Lacy, and the one that got away, Marissa?
Quick Summary: Second Chance with a Navy Seal
My Review: SEAL's Christmas Daughter was a second chance encounter romance.
A decade after meeting and sharing a night to remember, Zach and Marissa barrel straight into each other in a most memorable way. Unavoidable circumstances bring them together and soon the sparks of old reignite. All the while tensions rise and chemistry flares, danger erupts and lives are soon at stake.
My Final Say: This book will appeal to readers who love a good guy Alpha male lead.

This is a fast paced easy quick read that is entertaining, drama filled, action packed, suspenseful, great characters and awesome plot that takes the readers on a journey into the lives of Zach, Marissa and Lacy that will definitely not want to miss out on reading. I so love second chances at romance, it gives the couple to figure where they went wrong and to get it right. Zach is a super sexy alpha former Navy SEAL military veteran. Marissa and Zach shared a hot sizzling night between sheets 10 years ago. Zach never forgot Marissa and she was never far from his train of thought. Before Marissa got the chance to let Zach know she was pregnant he received orders and was shipped out. Zach is working on a case where he is sent to keep watch over a woman and her child to keep them safe from her husband. Funny thing is that the husband killed Zach’s Navy SEAL friend. While Zach is backing out of a space Marissa hit his car. The two remember each other instantly and then he spots Marissa’s daughter in the back seat and asks how she is and knows that Marissa’s daughter Lacy is his child. The lady that Zach is protecting just so happens to be Marissa neighbor and he convinces Marissa to let him move in keep her and Lacy and the neighbor safe.
Can Zach keep Marissa, Lacy and her neighbor safe, why is the neighbor’s husband after her, is there a second chance in store for Marissa, Zach and Lacy. #TeamMarissaZachLacy!

A fast-paced holiday hometown hero and protector has nothing but the laser-focused desire for a one-night stand sweetheart Marissa. Enter Zach former Navy Seal and Marissa hot Mom and minx, Zach is trying to find a new place after living in the big city and being away on Active duty. Marissa’s daughter is 9 and the one-nighter took place over a decade ago. Two can do the math and trust me it adds up. Zach has some old childhood scars, and Marissa drops this shocking news on him. So, Zach the stud, single, Seal and now secret security man is dealing with a work situation while trying to form a civil relationship with Marissa and her daughter. Asks to move in and then the slow burn begins it ignites like a torch, with quick passion that initially halts for the safety’s sake. Then it kicks up again and the pent-up wait is worth it. My favorite number and Chapter 11… What could they do a body holiday reunion was bound to happen. This would be a go-back in a good way. The authors did an amazing job with this fast-paced Mom-Rom and Stud-SEAL pair… Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a Veteran, I'm glad this was my first of many on NG, I can't wait to see what else reads Katie Knight & Leslie North have. Language is mild like 13 cuss words out of a jillion. Not sure of the word count. I wouldn't have minded the language but I get it, child present haha.
Having just read Cowboy's Christmas Heart by Leslie North, I embarked on SEAL's Christmas Daughter thinking it would be very much the same. It wasn't, and not in a bad way; it was just different.
This is not a book using Christmas as the driving part of the plot; instead we follow retired SEAL Zach as he is working a civvie case, protecting the wife and daughter of a friend of a friend. At the beginning of the story, he literally bumps into a car driven by Marissa, the woman he hasn't seen and cannot get our of his head after a one-night stand ten years ago.
I liked how Zach is working hard to get to know Marissa and the daughter which was the result of their wild night ten years ago, but still trying to stay professional for the case. Despite her caution, Marissa supports him in protecting the next door neighbours allowing their relationship to develop.
I received an advanced reader's copy of SEAL's Christmas Daughter by Katie Knight and Leslie North from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this novel. The main characters, Marissa and Zach, were sweet together. I liked their banter, sizzling chemistry, and their story arc. This was a solid romance novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and the pacing moved swiftly.
I liked the fact that Christmas wasn't thrown in my face in every chapter. Just enough to remind me that I was reading a Christmas book.
Zach is the main focus of the book. He's trying to get to know his daughter that he just found out about while keeping her safe. I really enjoyed reading, Seals Christmas Daughter.
Seal's Christmas daughter by Katie Knight.
Former Navy SEAL Zach Walker could never get Marissa off his mind. Of all the women in his life, she’s the one he just can’t forget—even though it’s been ten years since they spent an unforgettable night together.
A brilliant read. Great story. Looking forward to the next book. 5*.
Zach and Marissa have a one night stand, and when he retires from the SEALs he ends up in a small town trying to figure out his life and next adventure. There he meets Marissa again, only this time she has a nine year old daughter. This book is filled with second chance romance, in a small town that's genuinely sweet and adorable.
They go through some bumps and issues but in the end, their story is one that's sweet and ends in a happily ever after. I was hooked reading this book and couldn't put it down. It definitely got me in the Christmas mood!
Katie and Leslie did a great job with this book and I cannot wait to read more of their books! Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book!
