Dominic Kilburn has been drifting since he left Lady Willa Ransome at the altar a year ago. Wracked with guilt, he has been drowning his sorrows in booze and boxing. When his two friends, who happen to be Willa’s brothers drag him to a scandalous houseparty on a remote island in Scotland, his hope is that this will be his escape from his tortured memories and unresolved feelings for Willa. To his surprise, Willa is there, and they are stuck in each other’s company for two weeks until the next boat returns. Can they survive the desire both to kill each other and give into their suppressed carnal and emotional desires? Is there a chance for them to make amends at last?
A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction is a sexy, entertaining Regency historical romance with lots of sizzling tension between the two leads. It’s clear that these two belong together if they can make it past their many issues. Dom is a big, sexy hero who is so gentle and tenderhearted, with a tormented soul, and is clearly crazy about Willa. Willa is fiery, independent, yet vulnerable beneath her forthright personality. She struggles between protecting her heart from more hurt and wanting to throw herself fully in Dom’s arms. Eva Leigh builds the excitement as the two clash and confront each other and their unresolved feelings, leading to beautifully written, fiery and passionate love scenes. The character development shines in that both Dom and Willa are shown as imperfect people who grew and learned from their mistakes. A fitting conclusion to the Last Chance Scoundrels series, A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction is satisfying and sigh-worthy romance.
I have been waiting for this book since book one in this series. Not that I didn’t like all the other books in the series but I definitely wanted Willa and Dom's story. And it did not disappoint.
Dom and Willa were engaged and we almost at the alter when Dom decided he couldn’t do it so he ran out on Willa and basically left her at the alter. She tried to salvage her reputation as best as she could and traveled the continent.
Dom has been miserable since he jilted Willa at the alter, but he knew he just wasn’t good enough for her and didn’t want her to end up despising him.
This book starts where Willa has come back and is now having to face Dom. And lets say things get interesting. They start off angry of course and end up really digging into the relationship they had before. It helps that they are on an island together and kinda have no choice but to talk to each other. Neither one of them can run away this time.
It turns out their previous relationship was extremely shallow. And that they never really talked about anything of significance. They had to face some harsh realities about the people they were and how they used each other.
I loved the way the Dom and Willa finally had to really get deeper and talk about things that really matter and talk about their past. This was so important and played such a huge role in why Dom felt he didn’t deserve Willa, and essentially what Dom did played into the issues Willa had too.
They actually had to grow and heal with one another. And really confront the issues that they had individually and the issues in their relationship.
And eventually they built something even stronger that what they had before, something beautiful, fragile and worth it all at the same time.
I really loved that this story also had all of the couples from the previous books too like a wrap up of all of their stories while telling Willa and Dom's.
Oh my and the chemistry that they had was off the charts, every time they were within each others space you could almost feel the air crackle, and when they finally got together it felt explosive! Very spicy!
Everything about this book gave me all the feels and I just loved Dom. He was so sweet and felt so much. And Willa was the same she felt too much so she brazen her way through everything because she didn’t want to look weak.
This is a must read I was so happy with this book and finally getting Willa & Dom's story. Definitely a must read.
This one is so incredibly romantic and sweet from beginning to end that I read it almost entirely in one sitting. It also has a nice and steamy interlude in the middle to keep things spicy and really live up to the cover.
Dominic Kilburn left Lady Willa Ransom at the altar and thought he'd never be near her again. Until a house party in the remote island estate of an eccentric Lord brings them back together. Their feelings are still obviously there, but they're going to have to discuss many things before either of them is able to get over the pains of the past.
We get excellent banter, fun interactions with the rest of the characters, and some very heartfelt conversations. The balance between the darker emotional elements and the romantic moments is perfect, with things never getting too down or making light of the serious life experiences Willa and Dom have had.
It's the 3rd book in the series and I feel like I would have benefited from reading the others mostly because I'm interested in the relationships that resulted from those and I think it would help fill in some of the background for Willa and Dom's relationship, but I don't think it's necessary.
Delighted thanks to NetGalley and Avon for the very romantic read!
This is one of those books that started out strong. A jilted woman who is still in love with the rogue that had to walk away because he was battling his own demons? Ok. That sounds intriguing. But from there it just fell flat. The more I read, the less my interest was held to the point that was skipping paragraphs and just skimming the pages looking for something of interest. I finally gave up and DNF'd at 64%
The spice was zero. The character development was minimal. The story fell flat. Maybe if I made it all the way through my opinion would change. I just couldn't make it far enough for that to happen.
This wasn't my favorite of Leigh's series but this WAS my favorite book in the series. Her books keep getting hotter and hotter and I mean his name is DOM you know what to expect here and I loved it.
Overall a solid read, but I definitely expected more out of this angsty second chance romance. Dom and Willa’s romance has been built up since book 1, so my expectations were pretty high, but in the end I felt this story was a bit too simple for these characters? I’m not quite sure how to explain it.
As usual from Eva Leigh, the steamy scenes were top notch so there’s that at least lol.
**thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review**
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I actually didn't finish the entire book. I never connected with the characters, main or secondary. I found the story to be something like 10 shades of grey with nasty talk. Why wasn't she ruined? Why didn't he learn good manners? If you have enough money that the Ton lets you into their events, you should at least be nice & polite. I tried several times and could never make it through every page.

This is the latest in the series but I don't know that you need to read the previous books to understand this one.
This is a second chance romance for Dom and Willa, after Dom abandoned Willa before their wedding due to his secret.
Willa's brothers conspire to bring the two together on a isolated island own by the libertine Longsbridge.
Dom and Willa were kinda boring. I didn't really care about either character. They felt one dementional, even though they had a past together I did let feel like there was anything more than lust.
It's an okay but with nothing really keeping the FMC and MMC apart and no other secondary plot.
3 stars.
I enjoyed How the Wallflower was Won, the second book in the Last Chance Scoundrels series. After I finished it, I could hardly wait for this book because it features my kind of hero.
Dominic Kilburn is a man with a past who leaves Lady Willa at the altar. Dom is dark, brooding, and full of secrets. Both characters were interesting and I especially loved Dom’s character.
The couple are stranded on an island together at a secluded house party. The isolated island setting is the perfect setup for this couple to reconcile, or kill each other!
I didn't like the fact that Dom drops all his reasons for not marrying Willa, with little explanation. They quickly reach their HEA without much discussion or untangling of the issues that kept them apart. The romance scenes were excellent, if a bit modern, but I liked them.
Overall, the book had a great setting with interesting characters and was a fun second chance/forced proximity romance.
I really enjoyed this one. Willa and Dom's book as they now have to comeback from the jilted wedding in book 1. So this one is full circle. I loved how Dom did what he did because he thinks he's not good enough for Willa, but something that he did in the past is the big reason why. Willa is extremely hurt by Dom's action. They are forced together on an island so they end up seeing each other enough in which they can't avoid and feelings resurface for each other they can't ignore.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I received "A Rogue's Rules for Seduction" as an ARC from #Netgalley. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast read and incredibly sexy. I loved the enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance. What I found great about this book was the continual building of the previous main characters relationships. Was it completely realistic, no, but it was fun to read.
Eva Leigh is one of my most favorite authors. Her stories never let me down. This second-chance romance is another one of her amazing adventures that I got lost in. Let's just say edge of your seat moments & Hot Hot Hot, I couldn't put it down.
Lady Willa Ransom & Dominic Kilburn have a rough past together. After past secrets threaten Kilburn right before their wedding he leaves Lady Willa at the alter and breaks her heart. Now they have both unknowingly excepted invitations to a house party at a secluded country home, Now they are stranded there thanks to some friends & family who plotted to get them together. Now they must face their past while facing each other. Their old passion for each other is still there, but can Willa let the past go & can Dom make it up to her.
This has been one of my favorite adventures from Eva Leigh so far. Her writing captivates you and makes you feel like part of her story, with characters you become so attached to that you can't help but fall in love with them. I couldn't put this one down. All those perfect moments. It was so exciting and so passionate I could read it over and over,in fact I know I will.
I highly recommend A Rouge's Rules for Seduction.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy and all opinions are my own.
A Rogue's Rules for Seduction by Eva Leigh is book Three in the Last Chance Scoundrels Series. This is the story of Dominic Kilburn and Willa Ransom. Willa and Dominic where set to marry but then something happened and Dominic left Willa at the alter. Now Willa is trying to make the best of things and takes a offer to a house party. Which her friends have set up Dominic to be there too as a way to get them back together. Enjoyed this book.
Every entry in this series by Leigh has been fantastic! This concluding novel wraps up everything with a nice bow. Leigh's creativity when writing romance knows no bounds. She is endlessly creative with characters, setting, and pacing.
Willa and Dom were engaged but he failed to show up at the church on the day of the wedding and did not offer her an explanation. Willa left London and went on a tour of Europe to get over the heartbreak she was suffering. Now they are both back in the same city and are currently on an island in Scotland at a house party with no way of leaving until the boat returns to take them home. Also included in the house party are her two brother's Finn and Keiran and the wives, Tabitha and Celeste(Dom's sister). Dom is the only one of the group who is yet to marry as demanded by their parents or they will no longer provide them with an income. Can Dom and Willa spend time with each other and try to get back the relationship they had before or is it too late for them? Dom tries as much as possible to avoid spending time with Willa because he doesn't want to hurt her anymore and he also has a secret that he hasn't shared with any of his friends or family. Dom fears his secret would be prevent Willa from wanting to be with him and also cause problems for their families if it was revealed. During the course of the house party, Willa and Dom are frequently put into positions were they must spend time with each other. Could it be their family playing matchmakers in an attempt to get them back together? The story started off as a slow burn but it crescendoed into a steamy lovefest between the H/h near the end.

Since Dominic Kilburn left Lady Willa Ransom at the altar a year ago, she has done everything possible to hide just how deeply it hurt her. After a year spent traveling the continent, Willa is ready to move on with her life and accepts an invitation to a house party on a remote Scottish island with the hopes of moving on from her embarrassment and the attraction she still holds for the man who left her.
When secrets from Dom’s past reemerged just before he was meant to be married, he knew he couldn’t go through with it given how undeserving he was of Willa, so he ran. Regardless, he still longs for the only woman to have ever found a place in his heart. Hoping to escape the longing plaguing him, Dom agrees to accompany his friends to a house party on an isolated Scottish island. Unfortunately, one of the guests is the woman he can’t stop thinking about and about whom he dreams impossible things.
Forced together by their well-intentioned family and friends, Willa and Dom work to resist the smoldering connection between them, but the line between love and despising blurs and their attraction combusts. But Dom’s past hasn’t changed and Willa fears being hurt again, leaving their happily ever after far from certain.
I have been anticipating this book for such a long time that I was hesitant to even read it now given the terrible slump I’ve fallen into, but I also didn’t want to put it off any longer. I don’t want to say it disappointed me, but I will say it wasn’t quite all I’d hoped for, though my expectations were of course very high. As always when I’m like this, you risk potential spoilers from here. Honestly, this story just felt very repetitive. Dom at least was sure he wanted to be with Willa, just equally sure he didn’t deserve to be, but Willa was just very wishy-washy about everything. Even past 60% we still didn’t get even a kiss between the MCs and I began to really lose patience. There was a ton of pining and longing, but it just grew boring and repetitive to me. I get that running away was Willa’s thing, but it still felt like she hadn’t really shown any development at all by the end of the book. Dom, on the other hand, did do some growing and reflecting. He was honest with her and made it clear that he just wanted to give her everything, but all she’d give him was chaotic mixed signals. Even when they finally did spend time together, nothing was resolved, and I grew bored all over again with her repetitive thoughts on keeping herself from being hurt again. Also, what the heck was with the random bdsm scene? I’m supposed to believe a virgin just randomly decided to tie a man up and use a crop on him? It just felt so random and weird, and I found it wholly unsatisfying. Even after all this emotional outlay from Dom, it was like Willa still hadn’t truly listened to his feelings when he finally confided the source of his shame to her. She just brushed off his feelings and went right back to mulling incessantly over her own fears. I wanted more emotion and less angst. Instead, I was just left feeling that Dom loved Willa much more than she did him and I wasn’t completely satisfied with their relationship. Overall, this book wasn’t quite all the things I’d hoped it would be, but my rating gets rounded up because I did like the way things wrapped up in the end.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book is one of a series and the characters in the earlier books are also in this one so it would probably be helpful to read the first two books, I have not and really had a difficult time connecting with the characters. Dominic and Willa were once engaged and things ended badly between them. They both have secrets and didn’t really understand each other. This book was about how they learned about each other and began to understand not just each other, but themselves. The characters were interesting, the sex was hot, but the misunderstandings and secrets made this one a difficult read for me.
QOTD: Last book you were worried about?
I am always scared and sad when the last book in a series comes out. This one was especially nerve wracking. I love me some second chance - but it can go either way.
THIS BOOK THOUGH - is the gold standard for second chance. Actually dealing with the problems, talking things out, and now just having sex and compromising. Both Dom and Willa have to grow and admit they were BOTH wrong. This is also the gold standard for a slow burn - I was at page 200 and didn't even notice that they hadn't had a love scene - because each page was so enthralling. The slow burn matched the storytelling that was so well done... anyways - I will complete my gush on @corsetandcrown ... but... do yourself a favor and read this book.

This is a set up! Dom and Willa realize it is a set up. And yet, these two can't fight the attraction between them. Kieran/Celeste and Finn/Tabitha join Dom & Willa on a remote island for a house party. Shenanigans ensue because this is a risqué gathering. Of course, the couple reunites. But they are together on their own terms, not her father's.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for an eARC of this title. All opinions are my own and are honestly given.
In A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction, Lady Willa Ransom and Dominic Kilburn find themselves reunited at a house party one year after Dom jilted Willa at the altar. After initial animosity, their chemistry once again ignites, and Dom and Willa realize their old feelings might not be gone for good. However, when secrets from Dom’s past threaten their future, Dom and Willa have to decide where their hearts truly lie and if there are second chances when it comes to love.
A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction was a fun way to wrap up the Last Chance Scoundrels series, and I’m already sorry to say goodbye to these characters. Initially, I worried that the book might be starting a bit slow for me, but the second half really picked up and stuck the landing. Dom and Willa’s chemistry is palpable, and Leigh does a great job of showing how this couple has learned and grown from their separation and is even stronger as a couple now for having gone through their initial difficulties. I would definitely recommend this series for our historical romance-loving patrons, and this book is a great fit for our physical and digital collections. 4 stars.
