A sweet, sassy, fun historical romance read. I greatly enjoyed getting to dive into this book and lose a few hours. I ended up listening by audio and I enjoyed the performance a lot.

Anna Harrington's A Problem Princess is a sensual, road trip romance, full of espionage and intrigue! Harrington's writing is easily engaging, well paced, and beautifully balanced between plot and romance. A Problem Princess is very much a plot driven novel in which the heart is the romance between a Home Office Undersecretary and Viscount with a Princess. Harrington weaves together an on the run, forced proximity, body guard style romance to perfection! This novel will quickly sweep you up and keep you along for the ride. Harrington's characters are interesting and watching their romance develop will leave you with a smile on your face! This is the sixth novel in Harrington's Lords of the Armory series, and I find that it can easily be read as a standalone, I have read novels on and off in this series and not all in order and never feel lost in any strong underlining interwoven plot.
This novel really has many wonderful tropes supporting it, and if one or any of them are of interest to you , you will easily be swept along into this fast paced romance. I really was charmed by both our hero and heroine, they are both strong and determined in their own rights. I love we see them work together and protect each other. I love that the heroine is bold and unassuming, she wants to do what is best for her country, but she will also learn to fight for her happiness along her journey. I love that the heroine is willing to take her happiness when and where she finds it and does not worry about what rumors or judgements will come from it. I love the way that Harrington builds the tension and chemistry between the hero and heroine, and that we see how the physical side of their romance conveys a deep level of trust and respect. I love that the hero only want what is best for the heroine and that he respects her and trusts her to speak her mind.
I always love a road trip romance, and the on the run/bodyguard aspect of this novel really drives up the pace and plot in such a fun way! If you are looking for intrigue and romance than this novel is packed full of it! I would definitely highly recommend picking up with novel, you are sure to be delighted!

Anna Harrington has done it again. This is the 6th and final book in the Lords of the Armory series, and it was a fantastic and satisfying conclusion. I've loved every one of these books so much. This installment did not disappoint.
When Princess Cordelia of Monrovia is targeted for assassination, Clayton Elliott becomes her bodyguard. This is a very intense action-packed romance. The chemistry between the main characters is great, and the sex scenes are superb. Bodyguard romances are a favorite of mine, and this one was completely swoon worthy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

In the sixth and final book in the Lords of the Armory series we get the final Scepter reveal. This was also probably my favorite couple of the series. General Clayton Elliott, Home Office Undersecretary has a sinking feeling that the previous prevention of the assasination attempt by Scepter has just sent the organization underground until the can begin their next revolutionary plan. Obliged to attend a cermony to welcome the Monrovian royals, Clayton stumbles upon Princess Cordelia of Monrovia being attacked and rescues her. He is sure this is Scepters next move and vows to protect her while he uncovers what this attack means. These two have chemistry right from the start. They both have lived a life dedicated to their respective countries and are dealing with trama tied to their fathers, this shared background brings the two closer together. Well paced, this book tied up all the loose ends for me and brought the series to a satisfying conclustion.

A truly wonderful book, gorgeously written, with precious insights in the life of royalty. I felt all the frustration poor Cordelia felt with the stuffy protocols of Court and the impossibility of being a “normal” woman. I loved brave and chivalrous Clayton, the champion every woman would love to have at her side. The mystery of Scepter has been brilliantly resolved even if I would have preferred a different outcome for the villains. The political side of the plot is quite interesting and well researched. Harrington has surely become one of my favorite writers!

I don't want this series to end but this was the perfect ending! This series spotlighted the perfect type series for Ms. Harrington's skill embodying intrigue and strong, independent women. This is one of my all time favorite series. This is Clayton Elliott's story meeting his equal Princess Cordelia of Monrovia. All the way through I kept wondering how they would get their happily ever after given their separate worlds. Anna gave us the perfect solution to their star-crossed love affair. We finally get the answers to the long running mystery to who is behind Scepter, and the bringing it down to protect the undeserving English monarchy. I loved this adventure from start to finish.
Clayton Elliott is now a General and Viscount thanks to saving the Prince Regent life. He didn't do it for rewards and can't see himself with a title. Scepter has gone quiet after the execution of their English leader in the last book, but Clayton knows it's still out there lurking to rise again. He can feel it in his bones so he stays vigilant. When Prince Ernest of Monrovia and his niece Princess Cordelia visit Clayton suspects it's the sign Scepter's minions are looking for. He find himself unexpectedly meeting Cordelia at the welcome party when he ducks into an anti-room to clean up after a spill. He finds Cordelia being held with a knife at her throat! When he takes out the assassin he finds himself appointed her bodyguard. He really doesn't mind this assignment so he can investigate if Scepter is behind their visit. Besides he finds Cordelia fascinating and intelligent.
Cordelia is being smothered in duty. She yearns to be an ordinary citizen and not be paraded as a pretty doll for her Uncle. She loves her country and is trying to keep her father's betrayal from being uncovered. So she does as she's told and doesn't make waves. She's here in England for one of the Royal Dukes to decide which of them will be her bridegroom. She is within the line of succession for the throne, although a ways down the list. She knows marrying one of the Royal Dukes may ultimately make her the future Queen of England, not that she wants the job. Watching Cordelia and Clayton try to keep her alive after three attempts on her life is a fabulous adventure. She even saves him a couple of times. In the end Clayton figures out who is Scepter and calls upon his loyal men of the Armory to defend the monarchy.

NOT THE STRONGEST IN THIS SERIES, BUT A SOLID FINISH
At the beginning of this series, I was over the moon for it. And while the series has had some ups and downs, I am satisfied with this ending and still regard the overall series with joy.
👍 What I Liked 👍
Characters: Cordelia, Clayton, the aunties and the rest of the characters were nice to follow. Clayton in particular touched me. I loved how protective he was of Cordelia right from the start, even before he got to know her. Cordelia is a bit of a cliché - the princess in the golden cage longing to break free - but it worked as a balance to Clayton and allowed him to show off his best side.
Forbidden love: Cordelia is a princess in line to inherit the British throne. Clayton is a general without a drop of noble blood and with a father executed for treason. The two of them were certainly not meant to fall in love. But I always love an element of forbidden love, and here it definitely worked out well.
👎 What I Disliked 👎
Plot: Sadly, the plot was the major let down for me. And as a person who prefers plot-driven books, this was a real letdown. The plot felt far-fetched several times throughout the story and not very realistic. It made me shake my head in disbelief once or twice.
Sceptre: For six books we have followed the evil organisation Sceptre and tried to unravel the true mastermind behind. While we finally got to the bottom of the mystery in this conclusion to the series, it was definitely a let down for me. I was so disappointed. The great reveal actually took away from the previous books and kind of makes Sceptre out to be more of a joke than an actual threat in my eyes.

I adored Clayton and Cordelia's story! I was so happy to see Clayton get his HEA after seeing him in all the other stories of the series! Harrington did not disappoint!!

I love Anna Harrington and this book is packed with action and romance. The bodyguard trope is one of my favorites. I wish I had had time to read the other books in this series before reading this. I feel like this being the last book gave readers of the series a really satisfying conclusion to the overarching mystery within the series but because I didn't have the previous five books to go off of, I didn't get to savor it as much. I still enjoyed it and I loved the romance between the two main characters. Perfect recommendation if you loved the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt!

I can't say enough good things about this story. Love this series and this addition is equally amazing. The plot is unexpected and wonderful. The cast is fabulous, and the twists are amazing. This was a finish in one day for me. I didn't mean to, but I had to see what happened next. It is that good!

Once this book got going, I got wrapped up in the action! Princess Cordelia of Monrovia cones to England at her Uncles insistence. She meets Clayton at a ball when he saves her from attack and ends up being her personal guard.
More and more threats keep happening to Cordelia and they are trying to get to the bottom once and for all who is behind Secpter.
Some of my favorite parts were when Cordelia just wanted to be regular "Jane Smith" and not a princess. Of course, that is when the romance really heated up between her and Clayton.
This book is a nice addition to the series. The characters are brave and likeable and the Secpter plot unfolded was done very well. Wrapped up with a nice bow.
Thank you to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for providing me a copy of this ARC for my honest review.

Give me all the princesses with their strong bodyguards!
Honestly, I probably would have enjoyed this more if I had read anything else in the series. Its plot calls heavily back to the events of previous books. However, overall it was a fun adventure.
If you’re looking for a fast paced, tense story, this could be for you. Both the MCs are very likable and textured characters. The writing is excellent. I really felt it captured the issues of the times in which these characters lived.
It was so good that I may go back to the first book (this is book 6) and start over, and maybe when I do my rating will go up.
Star Rating: 3.5/5
Tropes: Bodyguard, spies
CW: Death, violence

When Cordelia discovers that her family secrets and legacy left behind might be the reason her life is in danger, she will question everything. How could those she love betray her? What will become of her country, her home, her life?
Clayton Elliott will not rest until he clears his father's name and proves his innocence, can he do that while not falling in love with the one woman he can never have?
A journey of redemption and proving that love doesn't care about your royal lineage with scandal, a a plan to overthrow the monarchy, a princess, a general, and the truth. This spicy story is one of forced proximity, a bodyguard protecting a princess and saving a kingdom.
While this is the sixth installment in the Lords of the Armory series but can be read as a standalone.

It’s been about six months since the conclusion of the previous book which saw the supposed head Scepter killed. Clayton is positive the group is still out there in the shadows and is driven to leave no stone unturned in his quest. However, if Scepter is truly gone, his next mission is to uncover the truth about his father’s conviction and hanging years ago.
Cordelia is the Princess of Monrovia, distantly related to the British monarchy. She’s in London to express her condolences over Princess Charlotte’s death in childbirth; however she understands her true duty is to snag a royal husband. Orphaned 10 years ago, when she was 14, she was raised by her Uncle and Aunt. When someone makes an attempt on Cordelia’s life, Clayton is there to save her. Convinced it’s part of a Scepter plot, he integrates himself as head of Cordelia’s safety.
Cordelia and Clayton are perfect for one another. Both without family, both tied to inescapable duty, and both have the need to discover the truth about their fathers and if they were innocent of the accusations brought against them. I enjoy how they discuss duty and how it’s shaped their lives. The romance is flirtatious, sweet, and sexy. The pair fits as they help each other to be better versions of themselves. The problem? She’s a princess who must marry a royal. But I love that she wants him and goes for it.
While each book is a standalone romance, there has been an overarching plot about Scepter, a group of anarchists who intend to disrupt England’s government. The Scepter aspect comes to a spectacular close in A Problem Princess. While there may have been clues in earlier books, I never picked up on them; however, as soon as this one started, it was pretty obvious who the “bad guy” would be - although I did not anticipate how far their reach extended.
In the end, A Problem Princess brings a fantastic end to the Scepter story arc. The author allows the series to conclude with a bang, while putting all of the pieces together in a fun way. I also enjoyed her “based on history” section after the story was over.
My Rating: B+

I loved this story! To be clear, I did not read any of the previous books in the series, but it didn't hinder me at all. (But I did download the others so I can dive in!)
This was a great blend of action/intrigue and romance. The scenes between Cordelia and Clayton- will they? WHEN will they?- were very touching. Ms. Harrington does a wonderful job of conveying each person's concerns, fears, and feelings. Cordelia's coming into her own strength, encouraged by Clayton, was also well done.
And let's not forget the author's note and historical information. The research Ms. Harrington put into this story is phenomenal and much appreciated by this history teacher!
I highly recommend reading this!

Anna Harrington concludes her Lords of the Armory series with justice for all in the grand style her readers have come to expect from her in A Problem Princess!
Bridging the gap in their life stations General Clayton Elliott and Princess Cordelia of Monrovia could not escape the inevitable, putting their positions, and at times their lives, on the line for their love. At first determined to sacrifice their hearts for the greater good of their countries this couple was resigned to not sharing a life together yet fate had bigger plans for them. This was a work about loyalty and duty warring with personal desires and was fraught with heartache over dilemmas with no reasonable solutions. The honest and forthright conversations that erased any inequality that existed between Clayton and Cordelia were well done by this author who is always diligent in her historic depictions. Caught up in a complicated plot this pair found themselves in the eye of the storm as they maneuvered their taboo attraction and the danger they were in the middle of. Their caring and sensitivity to their circumstances showed their maturity and sense of responsibility to their roles in life and was very well done by this author.
Clayton was a hero that fought his personal demons and the dark cloud that hung over his family name. He was a character who placed a great deal of importance on honor and dedication. Charming and focused he was a force to be reckoned with. Cordelia was trapped by her station in life yet yearned to be more than a figurehead. Like Clayton she held herself to a higher standard due to the supposed sins of her father. Underneath her pretty facade there was a backbone few knew of and Clayton was certainly a catalyst to exposing it with his love and unconditional support. This couple were genuine and attentive to each other and there was no lack of chemistry between them for some steamy encounters!
Anna Harrington put together a strategic well-planned series with Lords of the Armory that was extraordinary in its scope and hard to put down! Her melding of facts and fiction is always thorough and meticulous taking her readers on magnificent adventures that will leave them reading well into the night. Anna Harrington has a great capacity for creating strong friendships and bonds between her characters that are as inspiring as they are touching. A Problem Princess is a problem well worth taking on as your next favorite read!

What a delightful romance and a page turner all in one! Pure writing genius! I loved every page of it. Drawn from the pages of history, this author has incorporated historical events to create a spellbinding storyline with a swoon worthy hero to rescue the Princess , again and again! Absolute delight! Don’t miss this one!

Excellent Historical Romance
You will want to clear your schedule to read this book, because once you start, you will not want to stop. Danger, treachery, intrigue, and forbidden romance will keep you turning the pages. She is a princess who must marry a royal duke, but she falls in love with the man who saves her life. Clayton will protect Cordelia, no matter the cost to him. Someone wants her dead, so the two must run. How will it all end? A royal princess cannot marry someone like Clayton even though the Prince Regent gave him the title of viscount. Who was intent on killing the princess? Was Clayton right that Scepter was still alive and well? What is Scepter, you ask? It is a deadly, secret organization that we followed throughout this series. If you enjoy historical romance, filled with treachery, intrigue, mystery, and suspense, you will want to read the entire series. This author and her stories are a delight. I look forward to what she writes next.

This was a really fun, quick read that balances sweet and steamy nicely. I was a little unsure about the first couple of chapters, but once it settled in with the characters, I got lost in it and in watching the leads grow closer. Did they go from strangers to I-can't-live-without-you a little faster than I expected? Maybe, but putting the plot's historical inspiration aside, this is pure fantasy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it as such.
My thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun one and I enjoyed it. I don't feel like it was anything special but I enjoyed the characters and the plot line.
