Why We Need Teachers by Gregory E. Lang is a cute rhyming book that you would expect to see from this series. The pictures are bright and colorful and will be a big hit with young readers. While I totally appreciate this story since I am a teacher, I am not sure if children reading it will have an interest in it. This one might be good as a gifting option perhaps.

Overall, the words are kind, the meaning is there, but I am not sure children will respect or appreciate their teachers anymore after reading this one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Kids for this copy in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this book! Teachers (at school or at home) are vital to our youth and this shows so much love and appreciation in a way that children can understand. The artwork was lovely, and the sentiments were heartwarming! A great way to show children how important teachers are how to show their thankfulness for them!

A gorgeous book that pays homage to the hard work and effort that teachers put into education. An often thankless profession so this book really highlights the importance of a good teacher and does so in such a charming way with the rhyming words and gorgeous pictures. An absolute winner for a teacher appreciation gift!
Thanks to the author and Netgalley for the temporary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I am having a fun time reading these books to my little sister. She really enjoys them.

When I first picked up this book it made me think how grateful I am for the teachers who taught and supported me in my last 13 years of education. But it also showed that teaching takes many shapes and forms to parent or friend teaching you to tie your shoes to learning how to swim, how to count and so much more.

The little acts this book pointed out area so teaching really made me realise how I've been taught throughout life, how to read or how to write and how important teaching is so people can learn and grow.

This was a ver heartwarming story that would recommend.

A beautiful book all around. This little gem is perfect for read aloud or as a gift for a teacher in your life. A great gift for a school library or to gift a teacher as a token of your appreciation. Illustrations are cute and will fascinate young readers with personified pictures of wild animal adult and young pairings in “teaching” situations.

I read this book very slowly because this was a book to be savoured. The illustrations were very beautiful, and every message written on the pages was very impactful. This book made me miss my teachers, if I ever met them again not only I'd say thank you, but I'd hug them hard. Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Kids for the e-Arc.

A beautiful picture book that talks about the importance of the always underappreciated but essential teachers, in easy and pretty-sounding rhymes and accompanied by adorable and gorgeous artwork. Perfect for both teachers and students, especially very young ones, it'll warm the former's hearts to see themselves this appreciated.

I feel the cover do not do justice to the contents! The illustrations are so good and out of this world!

This book needs to be gifted to every teacher. The writing, the art, the presentation: everything clicks perfectly.

Thank you, SOURCEBOOKS Kids, for the advance reading copy.

I absolutely loved this book!!! This is not a book that I would typically read or review because I do not have young children, but I saw the title and just had to read it! I am a teacher and this book means so much! I want to buy it for all of my little nieces and nephews. I feel like this book would establish an appreciation for educators early on in a child's life. As I was reading through the book I couldn't help but associate teachers in my past with some of the descriptions. Teachers are here to not only teach our students, but to care for them as well. I really thank Gregory Lang for writing this. I really gives me motivation to keep going in my teaching career!

On ode to teachers, an appreciative, nicely illustrated, guide to gratitude to all that teachers do for us. The text is pleasant and deep, but simply worded, and the pictures, of animals, are very cute. A winner and a book to teach us to revere, honor, and respect our teachers for they, in so many ways, teach us to be the good humans we strive to be.
