Very cutely and colorfully illustrated picture book. Jitterbug is Lady B. Marie. She isn’t shy or quiet like the other bugs. She is loud and wants her noisy music heard. The story is told in rhyming prose and has a nice message. The illustrations work better for me than the poetic prose. I thought it was wordy for younger readers. And some of the vocabulary would need to be explained to younger grade levels. I don’t mind doing that when I read books to students but too many explainations can distract from the story flow. This children’s book was cute! We were glad that Jitterbug didn’t give up on what she wanted. The illustrations within this book are super cute and was worth the wait. My daughter enjoyed seeing all of the bugs and their music instrument.

A unique little ladybug, named Jitterbug - Lady B. Marie, goes against tradition in the ladybug world because she loves to strum her electric guitar and belts out rock and roll melodies. She is unlike all the other ladybugs who are quiet, shy and demure. Oh my!

She screeches heartfelt songs that are loud, messy, off key and are enhanced by crazy unprecedented dance moves. The other ladybugs are not impressed with her taste of music. Jitterbug isn't intimidated by their reactions. She doesn't give up and continues to march to her own drum and musical rhythm.

The illustrations are bold, vibrant and electrifying... perfect to give the book a rock and roll vibe. This inspiring book will encourage kids to live out their dreams and follow their hearts desires. I love the book and highly recommend it.

I preferred the art to the prose, but I'm absolutely here for a ladybug rock star. Brings back memories of my early 2000s emo phase. "Phase." Please, it's not a phase. It's a lifestyle.

This book has a wonderful message: be your own bug (or be yourself!). The writing style was engaging, and the book format was easy to follow, The illustrations complemented the story and are vibrantly colored to catch the reader's attention. And I really loved the music theme, which will likely resonate with many readers.

The pictures are beautiful with lots of color. The only problem that I had was the rhyming and the amount of words on each page caused me some issues trying to continue to keep my child involved. I didn't like the idea of everybody dislike jitterbug and then all of a sudden because they be come famous they liked jitterbug. I like the idea of being your self but people sometimes will still think what they please. Being yourself shouldn't be based on if people like you or not

The illustrations and colours are to die for. What a fun, rockin' tale. Kids will love this at storytime!

My kids loved this fun story! Jitterbug is a story told in rhyme about a ladybug who loves to rock. The illustrations are vibrant and beautiful and the story itself tells kids that it is okay to be different and to love the things you love. About half of the pictures do not work on the NetGalley app just fyi!

Really cute story that kept my young children entertained. The pictures were really fun and colourful. We talked about all different kinds of bugs together afterwards and we will be rereading this one together many times I am sure.

This book was pure joy to read! I can’t wait to add this to my classroom library. I think this will be one that kids beg you to read. I was grinning while reading it and even went back and read it aloud because I enjoyed the rhymes so much. Also, the vibrant illustrations are beautiful. I truly can not wait to read this to my students.

Jitterbug is a very cute picture book for young reader who love music (every type music). This book follow young ladybug name Lady B Marie aka Jitterbug who refuse to become quiet and shy bug. She determined to make other meadow dweller recognize her talent on Rock n Roll. Although other neighbors seem not sure about this kind loud music, Jitterbug just never give up until reach her goal.

Awww.. This one is super adorable! Written with poetic rhythm prose the story about young ladybug make me giggles with her determination. The illustration are colorful and give blast of happy vibe.
This book will make great gift for children and small library collection.

I loved everything about this picture book! Adorable and colorful illustrations with a cute and funny story. A great read aloud book for the young ones — especially if you add in some sound effects and animation in telling the tale. I would certainly have my air guitar handy for this story — playing the role of Lady B. Marie riffing my guitar!

But there is more than laughs and giggles. Behind all of the fun, there is a lesson. Don’t let critics and naysayers get in the way of your passions.

Jitterbug was a blast to read and I’m sure that the littles in your life will have a great time as well. Who knows? Jitterbug may just be the spark that ignites that budding musician in the family. Five outstanding stars.

Jitterbug was such an exciting read.

Jitterbug is an adorable little Bug who loves to enjoy herself and rock out to some amazing loud music. Jitterbug stumbles a tad when those around her don't find her taste in the music as amazing as she does, but when she finds those that do her entire world changes.

The illustrations are bold and super fun, the colors are vibrant and draw your attention to all the details throughout the story. This was a great read as we love our music as well. Loud, messy, off key, with all the crazy dance moves. Music speaks to the soul, no matter the type.

What an adorable book about bugs who like to rock! These rock and roll bugs have the perfect mix of whimsy and heart. I know my kids will particularly love that the main character is a ladybug! The illustrations are fantastic bold drawings and moody colors to match the rock and roll vibe. This is an adorable book for young kids.

It had some lovely illustrations that really brought the book to life.

The story was well planned out and I loved the ending and moral of the story – be your own bug (or person!)
