Smoking hot, steamy book! Loved the story and I didn't want it to end! A sweet, fun read with likeable fun characters!
This is a really fun, fast-paced story. I wasn't sure I was going to connect with it when I started reading it, but Sabrina and Ryan were quite charming characters and I loved the way Sabrina handled their "meet cute".
I wasn't aware that this was the fourth book in a series, but that might explain why I felt a little "set apart" from the story in general. I think it does work as a standalone, but I wonder if I might have felt more depth and appreciation for the characters and the storyline if I had more of the background.
That said, it was a flirty, fun, entertaining story. I enjoyed the adventures - and misadventures - of these two. I didn't really feel emotionally invested in them, so it didn't quite get to "next level" enjoyment for me, but I enjoyed the time I spent with them nonetheless!
This book was so much fun!
I loved the road trip holiday romance between to total opposites. It made for a very entertaining read.
The characters played well off each other, their banter was delightful!
I liked all the shenanigans they ended up in. A lot of it was believable and funny.
A quick, fun holiday romance that I will definitely be rereading closer to the holiday season.
I absolutely loved this book! I'm a sucker for a holiday romance but I love road trip stories as well. So the fact that this was both of those wrapped up in one already had me loving it. But then I met the characters and fell in love with both of them as well. This book was easy for me to get lost in and I was able to finish it in a day. It was the perfect book to cozy up with by the fire. It had me laughing out loud multiple times and swooning just as many. So if you're a lover of romantic comedy, road trips, and holiday stories, this one is definitely for you!
Ryan was definitely not having an easy time, that was for sure. On top of not being able to sign a ballplayer, which definitely hurt his sports agent ego, he also found himself stranded. Then we had Sabrina who was such a fun character. She is definitely going on my list of top ten favorite characters. Sabrina was fun and I loved that from the moment she met Ryan, she kept him on his toes. She was constantly surprising him and I think that was a very good thing for him.
I loved all the different mishaps they had to deal with while on their road trip! And the way they both handled everything differently. There were many differences between them but I liked that instead of it pushing them away from each other, it just seemed to make them more attracted to one another. This was a great love story at the root of everything. And one that I will most certainly be reading again. It felt like a Hallmark movie in book form and I'm always here for that vibe. Is it the most realistic story? No. But I'm here for happily ever afters, fun stories, great characters, and a good story. And this book delivered all that and more. It's the first novel I've read by Maggie Kelley but she has certainly made a great first impression and made me a fan.
This is the first book I have read by this author. No Rescue Required finds Ryan stuck in small town Kentucky, luckilly for him, Sabrina, headed to New York for a wedding, offers him a ride.
What ensues is 36 hours of mishaps, culminating in a happy ever after. If you are looking for a quick, light, fun read, why not check this book out?
Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.
This was a cute, fairly quick read, which I definitely enjoyed. This book is part of a series but is a standalone. Sports agent Ryan is stranded in a small Kentucky town that seems a little too deserted to be fully believable. Florist Sabrina lets him warm up in her shop, and they end up embarking on a road trip to NY once both of their flights get canceled. The road trip takes a few unexpected turns and the pair end up catching feelings, something neither of them expected.
Both of the main characters are decent people convinced they are not worthy of loving or being loved. The road trip helps show them that this is not the case - an admittedly short period of time to learn such a lesson but not so unbelievable when you consider they were together 24/7. The book had some funny moments, and the friendship between the FMC and the other women (who I assume were all the subjects of the prior books in the series) was lovely.
A solid 4 star read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this title. The opinions herein are my own.
This is the first book I have read by Maggie Kelly. No Rescue Required begins with Ryan getting stranded in a small town in Kentucky. Sabrina comes to his rescue by offering him a ride to New York, since she is on her way there for a wedding. Thus begins a story with lots of mishaps on the way to a HEA. While this didn't ring true to me as a believable love story, I mean 36 hours insta love is a lot to swallow, it still was a really cute book that I enjoyed reading. The characters had incidents in their past that made them think they didn't want to or couldn't ever fall in love, but all they needed to do was find the right person. I really enjoyed. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought it would be a little bit funnier based on the description but I still loved it. I didn’t realize this was the fourth book in a series so I will definitely go back to read the other three.
This book has a great plot, riveting banter, steamy chemistry, ups and downs, all tied up with a HEA! Relaxing read, definitely worth your time.
