I wanted to read this book since we’d been to New York at Christmas this year. It was a lovely read. There was some love, some drama, and beautiful settings. I did not see the twist coming at the end, though. I am looking forward to watching the movie on Amazon.
I liked the idea of it. This is one time that I enjoyed the movie more than the book and the changes they made. I wasn't feeling this book
"New York City at Christmas and a visit to Tiffany's is a recipe to sweep a girl off her feet unless fate has other plans".
This was a great Romcom with a great setting, amazing characters, and even tho it could be predictable, it was a great holiday read!
Thank you to the publisher, author, and netgalley for a copy of this story for an honest review!
A cute, heartfelt, romantic story with the perfect Christmas setting. I loved this book, I loved the characters and I could not recommend it more!
I enjoyed reading Something from Tiffany's by Melissa Hill. The characters in the story will warm your heart. Happy Reading!

This book was so slow. I couldn't get through it because it was so slow. I really enjoyed the movie but the book was too long and dragged on too much. Had a solid plot though. Just wish it was shorter.
I was excited to read this eve since I knew it would be adapted into an amazon film, so I'd like to read it first before I watch it and I have mixed feeling about this book. Besides the promising premise of this book, while I can understand and sympathize with the two main protagonists, it kind of bugging me that there are many obvious hints out there about how their current partner is just not the right for them. I really despise Gary for being such a shameless guy. Also, the plot was developed through the series of white lies surrounding and/or caused by the Tiffany's jewelry--well, too much white lies for my liking.
Two men purchase Christmas gifts at Tiffany's, but somehow the packages get mixed up, causing a very interesting dilemma for each of them. The premise of the book is unique and made for a good story. The settings, in New York and Ireland, in particular, were described in excellent detail to make it all seem very realistic. I thought the characters were a bit too ordinary, however. It would have been nice for Ethan to have more of a backbone. He seemed rather wimpy.
Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
I was lucky to receive an advance copy of Something from Tiffany's by Melissa Hill from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I LOVED the cover and title as nothing makes me happier than receiving a gift from Tiffany's :). Really enjoyed this fun lighthearted read. Good way to pass a gloomy winter day.
I happened to watch the movie first, so I thought I knew what would happen in this book. I was wrong because while the basic premise is the same, the details are different.
Once I got past that part, I enjoyed the story. Ethan is too nice, not wanting to hurt Rachel's feelings, Rachel is in a relationship with a self-absorbed jerk (aka Gary), Teri is a well-meaning friend, and Daisy is the bright spot in the stories.
The book was a quick read, filled with deceit on multiple fronts and the desire to find true love. There is a HEA for some of the characters, but not all.
I was able to read this romance/realistic fiction novel as an ARC from Netgalley. I wanted to like this story. I read it in December when you are in the mood for holiday movies and novels. It is an easy read, but it just felt a little too ridiculous to me. She accidentally gets his super expensive engagement ring meant for someone else...and although he sees her multiple times, he can't get up the courage to ask for it back? I can't see a scenario in which someone wouldn't ask for a diamond ring back- especially one he dropped a ton of money on! If you can get past the silliness of that, it is an entertaining read. A holiday romance escape from reality.
What a true dream this book was. I’ll re-read it again I’m sure. Delightful and enjoyable. Character and setting the scene would make a movie if the book a no brainer. Great gift for friends and family for those who love all Tiffany’s.
This is a very sweet romance with a twist 9f Whimsey. It's sweet and a bit unexpected. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book.
A magical story of love, romance, family, and fate. I truly enjoyed the story from start to finish. The plot was somewhat predictable, but never dragged or slowed. The characters were relatable and each unique. A must-read for this holiday season, or any time you want a little romantic magic.
A cute holiday rom com with mishaps making it a very comical ride. The story starts in New York, and goes to England and Ireland after the initial events. Gorgeous backdrops, iconic jewelry stores, love after loss, and rich characterization and descriptions.
After tffanys bags are accidentally switched after an accident, two couples have a very different trajectory. One that haven’t been dating long gets an engagement ring meant for a longer established couple. Coincidence, accidents, and not wanting to hurt others lead to quite a giant mess.
Very fun holiday escapist romantic comedy!
I knew this was going to be a movie, but I didn't realize the book had actually been published years ago.
It's a sweet story, keeps you on your toes with whether everything will be worked out. Very Hallmark. Hard for me to be ok with Rachel ignoring how horrible Gary is, and Ethan not seeing the faults in Vanessa. Daisy was a bright spot. End felt abrupt.
This one is very sweet even though the plan keeps going all wrong and then wrong again. Love how he keeps his daughter in the know all the time. This was a fun plot and makes for a great movie. Enjoyed Rachel’s friends over in Dublin and how they helped him and her along.
Low steam.
Thanks so much for the review copy! I’m sure others love this one but I just struggled to finish it. I still plan to watch the movie, though.
This was cute, New York, Christmas sweetness. It’s pretty much what you expect, but that’s not a bad thing in this case. If you like romance, Christmas, and/or NYC, you’re going to enjoy this one.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the advanced copy.
A cute and funny romance that is a fun read & full of all the romcom sappiness that we love when it comes to romcoms.
