Ethan is in New York with his daughter Daisy and girlfriend Vanessa for Christmas. Rachel is in New York for Christmas with her boyfriend Gary. Both men shop at Tiffany's. Ethan buys an engagement ring. Gary buys a charm bracelet. Gary is hit by a taxi cab and Ethan comes to his rescue. Somehow Daisy picks up the wrong bag and Ethan ends up with the charm bracelet. Now mayhem ensues. Rachel finds the ring, thinking it's for her so Gary just goes along with it. He is a loser and why she is with him is beyond me. Ethan tries to get the ring back and it takes forever. The book really dragged for me as I waited for the inevitable conclusion. It has a happy ending , of course, and I am sure it will make a delightful movie.

Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Landmark for a copy of this book for review and my opinion.

Something from Tiffany's is a holiday mix-up romance featuring all the festive feels for the season. When Ethan lost his wife he never expected to find love again but meeting Vanessa has shown him possibilities. On a holiday trip to New York he finds something from Tiffany's to propose to Vanessa and begin their happily ever after. At the same time, Gary is on a birthday trip to New York (courtesy of his lovely girlfriend Rachel) and is caught up shopping for himself and realizes late on Christmas Eve that he needs something for Rachel. Dashing into Tiffany's he quickly chooses a charm bracelet, proud of himself. A few minutes later, fate steps in and the holiday mix-up begins. Something from Tiffany's will take readers from New York to London to Ireland and the magic of the holiday season. This is a charming, holiday novel that will delight readers (while frustrating them along the way with the mix-up!) and create some Christmas magic.

Thank you to NetGalley and the the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

When fate decides to interfere, things that seem like just a series of misunderstandings are suddenly revealed to carry much more importance. And when a ring from Tiffany’s wrongly ends up with someone, that particular someone just somehow becomes the right person. That’s just how Tiffany’s magic and fate work. Didn’t you know? 😉

"Nothing was different. But everything had changed."

Mostly through the book I was bent on heavily judging all the characters on either their carelessness, materialism, and stupidity. But when one realises that it was fate was playing main character, all the judgement for these mere pawns vanishes. It sure is a round about way of getting somewhere, but still definitely is a sweet story.

Thank you @netgalley for my advance copy.

A charming little novel, following a romantic mixup which occurs when 2 bags from Tiffany get switched. This is not a comedy or a chase but a serious study of how a mix-up provides a true test of the characters of the people involved. As their motives and inner souls are revealed, it is a very smart little girl who sets her dad on his true path.

The author uses Daisy as a rudder to steer the characters in this novel. I loved the way Hill was able to use Daisy as a very sweet centerpiece of this novel.

I enjoyed this novel, despite it being predictable. I was still won over by the charm.

Thank you Netgalley for this enjoyable ARC.

Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for the arc of #somethingfromtiffanys. This book was actually released in 2011. I am guessing it is being re-released for the film adaptation. Nevertheless it is a cute romantic novel. A bit predictable but overall charming.

This was an entertaining well written book that will have me looking for more from Melissa Hill. I so loved the concept of the mixed up packages and the way so many lives were affected by a simple mistake.

Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the advance reader's copy of this book.
While predictable the story was a sweet reminder of how love can hid right in front of us.

A gorgeously written holiday romance that shouldn't be missed! It is a wonderful sweep you off of your feet read! Escapism at its best.

The first few pages was interesting for me, at least. However, the turn of events that ensued after the gifts were accidentally switched, were annoying and bordering on unbelievable. To make the story short, I did not finish the book.

I was completely in from that opening scene! The little twist there was so fun! But then the book dragged...and dragged...and dragged. And I couldn't wait for it to end! Somewhat like a Hallmark holiday movie, it was so predictable. I'm surprised it's being made into a movie, but at the same time, the length of a movie might fit it perfectly. As a book, it was way too drawn out.

And since when do we say, "Her and Gary's engagement..." Poor grammar there!

I received an ARC from NetGalley.

The premise is intriguing and can make into a closer look into the complexities of commitment within a relationship. It takes a bit of time to get into the book but picks up towards the end.

Ethan Greene and Gary Knowles both purchase gifts from Tiffany’s. But an accident as they are exiting the store changes both their lives and those of the people in their lives! Surprising twist at the end! Loved it!

I wanted to like this. I really tried to like this. I just couldn't. The plot was just too unbelievable and annoying to me. This is being picked up by Hello Sunshine to be made into a movie, so I am interested to see if they can change it for the better.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC.

Moments of hilarity, heartbreak, and then redemption fill this adorably warm and intriguing comedy set across multiple continents.

Ethan and his daughter Daisy set out on Christmas Eve in New York City to pick up a present for Vanessa his girlfriend and what is it other than something that comes in that famous blue bag from Tiffany's?

Gary is also at Tiffany's that bustling evening, running in the last second to pick up a gift for his girlfriend Rachel, of course, that was also wrapped up in one of those blue bags from Tiffany's.

What happens after that is one crazy event after another, moments of hilarity and infuriation all caused by this one moment where one man decides to do the right thing and another... Well, all I can say is Ethan and Gary are as different as night and day and I know who I would side with in all of this.

Throw in friends, food, and an emotional rollercoaster that will leave your mind spinning and you have a wonderful romantic comedy that seriously needs to be a movie, I can already picture it in my head.

I will be reading more by Melissa Hill, this was exactly the fun little who-has-it-now comedy that I love and I need more.

Apparently this book was written about a decade ago and it looks like it’s only being reissued because it’s about to be released as a movie. This is a book with a fun title and concept but unfortunately it’s lacking in execution. I have no problem accepting things for the sake of a plot but this one is pretty thin. Who in their right mind just shrugs off a loss so massive unless they’re crazy rich? Who could be such a pathetic person? Because unfortunately that’s what we have to accept here about the too nice guy. Fine let’s say we go with that, we still have to put up with the good friends who don’t speak up before their friend makes a horrible mistake. Even if you can get over all of that this book is a mess of too many characters with far too many shifting narratives that add nothing to the story or it’s pacing. We get the nice ones, and they are but unfortunately both are pretty pathetic, her friend, and her awful boyfriend. There’s zero romance here at all. It’s really an error that unfortunately does not lead to a comedy of errors because there’s no comedy at all. The good characters are doormats which is just annoying. They’re both in relationships so there’s no way to have them fall for each other because again they’re good people. Unfortunately there’s nothing to recommend this. Hopefully they add comedy and romance to the movie, there’s none here so wait for the movie. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you for approving me to read this book #NetGalley.

I am all for the cheesy holiday romance and the charm that the season brings. I am a sucker for the happily ever after and as predicable as this may have been it still brought a smile to my face.

Hill has created a very cute and fun read. The storyline is simply and by the second chapter the reader already knows where the story is headed and will end up. The characters are fairly well developed. Ethan, Rachel and Daisy become favorites immediately. Plus, there is the all consuming magic that surrounds a Tiffany diamond. The only criticism I have is that the ending is lacking. Everything wraps up very quickly. The ending just left me unsatisfied as a reader. Overall, a quick and easy read.

I wanted to love this book. I was looking forward to a Debbie Macomber-esque holiday romp. Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. The premise is sweet and perfectly made-for-tv, but the writing was very unpolished, everything was forecast with a heavy hand, and most of the characters felt like cardboard cutouts rather than real people. While that works fairly well in Hallmark movies, it really drags down a novel, and I imagine the upcoming movie of this will be more enjoyable that this book. I would give it a miss.
