I really enjoyed getting to experience escape rooms with these characters! I love escape rooms so this part was fun. I do feel the romance was a bit lacking as well as character depth. I wanted more of their back stories and wanted them to need more emotional growth for me to really enjoy their progress in this. Overall, a fun read but a light romance.

If Escape Rooms are your thing then you will adore this book. Attention to detail is amazing and being an enthusiast myself I lapped it up, very jealous of Elena full filing my dream of designing and opening up my own ER business.

This genre isn't my usual choice I literally saw the word Escape Room and knew I had to read it so I may not be the best to judge but I didn't find the storyline too exciting, if it hadn't of been for the amazing immersive game description I would not have finished it.

I have to rate 4 stars though down to how entertained it kept me due to all of the ER chat but like I said, if Escape Rooms aren't your thing, then maybe this book won't be for you. Alternatively, it may give you the push to give a room a try? Now that I can recommend!

A romance between two rival escape room owners? Sign me up!

The best thing about this book was the detail. The descriptions of the escape rooms and the thought that went into them = A+ I definitely felt immersed in the puzzle solving element.

The writing was concise, which made this an easy read. I think some richer descriptions of the feelings between the characters might have amped up the romantic tension. I loved the first kiss in the dark!

I found that it ended rather abruptly? And it was unexpectedly dramatic at the end too! Maybe one of the burglary or the car accident would have been enough -but I appreciate that they created the complication and resolution.

In short: this delivered what it said on the box! Points for the detail in the escape rooms.

A great read with multiple perspectives

A great read, from the points of view of David and Elena, who meet when they open rival escape rooms across the street from each other. Great characters, especially Elena's two friends/employees.
Looking forward to more books from this author.

I am so happy I came across this book. The cover and title pulled me in then I read the blurb and knew I had to read this book. I liked how the author weaved in the actual rooms/puzzles in the story. It really made me want to try out escape rooms. I loved David and how sweet and protective he is of Elena. The whole book was fantastic but I especially loved the epilogue. I look forward to reading more from CC Bridges.
