A single father and prior OnlyFans turned nanny love story. It’s a prime set-up for a steamy story but with some heart. I loved the overall plot and arc but didn’t totally love the execution. There are a lot of repetitive situations and thoughts. All they seemed to do was run into each other half naked in the kitchen, have the same conversation, repeat ad nauseam. Additionally, Cassie just monologues to herself in circles. It lessened the actual connection between the leads.

I enjoyed Cassie and Aiden to an extent, they had great backstories and motivations, but they were overshadowed by secondary characters. What time we do get from the supporting cast is a lot of fun. My only complaint about the amazing Wanda is her final lesson. She spends the entire book being a badass unconventional queen and then she rolls it all back. I was so disappointed.

I also wish the perspectives were evenly split. It’s 95% Cassie’s POV with only a few chapters from Aiden. It felt off. Still, it was an easy, and fast, read that hit some of those key romance tropes and worked as a palette cleanser. A little bit, sometimes a lot (the end shakeup), ridiculous but it’s also a fun escape, despite my criticism. It’s just a matter of what you’re in the mood for.

a book about a girl becoming a nanny for a hot single dad, who also happens to be A CHEF, just to realize he was her top fan on onlyfans?? yeah it wasn’t a want, it was a NEED,

I loved this book so much! Cassie's relationship with Sophie was so pure. If you’re a romance fan and like them on the smuttier side but still want a plot this was great!

Little does she know, the father of her new charge is a handsome chef. Will Cassie’s secret past as an OnlyFans performer derail her current gig…and budding relationship with her roommate/employer? 👀

This was a super steamy second chance, dual POV, single dad/nanny debut romance with a dual timeline that takes place in the present with some flashbacks to their past as Cassie works as a live-in nanny for single dad Aidan, neither realizing at first they knew each other before through Cassie's Only Fans page.

Perfect for fans of Elsie Silver's Heartless or Helena Hunting's Make a wish. I didn't love the third act break up in this story and the narrators weren't my favorites either but the characters were relatable and the story very heartfelt.

Many thanks to NetGalley and @prhaudio for a complimentary digital copy in exchange for my honest review. I would definitely keep an eye out for what Lana Ferguson writes next.

The Nanny by Lana Freguson is a steamy romcom- I wasn’t expecting the steam but man did I enjoy it! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the heroine had an only fans page either so that doubly intrigued me. While the book doesn’t center around this, I think the author adding it really made the book feel more relevant. It may not be for everyone but there’s no shame in it either! But my favorite thing about this novel? It has to be the family moments between our hero and his daughter. There’s just something about the single dad trope that does me in. And Lana Ferguson wrote it perfectly!

All around this is a great book. It’s got everything a romance fan needs- great characters, enough spice to satiate the appetites, a great backstory, and a heartwarming romance. I can’t wait to see what the author writes next!

The Nanny is a contemporary romance about Cassie, a young woman finishing her master’s who needs a good job, and Aiden, the chef who hires her to look after his daughter. It’s a great job, well-paid, live-in, and Sophie, the daughter, is a fun kid. The only problem is that Cassie knows Aiden - he used to be her best client on her OnlyFans (a website where users can sell and/or purchase original content, but has become more widely known as somewhere people can buy and sell NSFW content).

When Cassie is laid off from the job she loves, she has to look for a new gig. The perfect one materializes when she sees an ad for a nanny and meets the charming father of her new would-be charge. Aiden is more than handsome, a busy chef at a Michelin starred restaurant who is grappling with the challenges of single fatherhood. Cassie is the best candidate he’s met, and she takes the job. It’s only after she’s moved in and started work that Cassie realizes Aiden used to watch her OnlyFans. Not only that, but their digital relationship was pretty intimate. When their relationship starts to steam up in real life, Cassie has to find a way not just to be honest, but to be brave.

I loved this book, and it’s a particularly impressive début. The story is tight and well-written, the protagonists feel anchored and don’t fall into archetypes, and the emotional stakes are high. I loved Cassie and Aiden, who are both dealing with a lot and have needs not being met. Aiden is emotionally vulnerable, due to being new to single fatherhood, and feeling like he doesn’t have anything to offer a partner. He feels insecure about being a good dad to Sophie, especially due to the fact that his job is incredibly demanding. Cassie came from a loveless home and she’s had to work to support herself since age eighteen, which makes it hard for her to be open with another person. She’s empathetic and caring, but has a hard time accepting love, which makes sense for her character.

The secondary characters are well-established, which I really appreciated. Sophie is a great kid, and I enjoy reading kids who are actually childlike, and Iris, Sophie’s aunt, is a great source of conflict in the story. Iris is the sister of Sophie’s late mother, and she feels displaced in Sophie’s life. She lashes out at Aiden, and while she’s not a likable character, she has an important place in the story. I also loved Wanda, Cassie’s former neighbor and surrogate family. She’s a snappy older lady, and I adore characters like that. She also pushes Cassie to be her best self and reminds her that life has to be lived.

The plot is a little unexpected, but it really works for the story. My expectations were actually exceeded, as what I expected to be the main conflict was defused before the climax of the book. In some ways the last act could come off as routine, but it works because of the emotional reality of the characters. I highly recommend The Nanny; I have a feeling it’s going to be one of my favorites for this year.

A single dad who is a chef and the nanny? Bring it. Some forced proximity and slightly forbidden romance.

Cassie is working on becoming an occupational therapist. She's just lost her job, which means she needs to find a job and a place to stay like yesterday. At one point, Cassie made money from an OnlyFans account, but to do that again, she'd have to start over. She had deleted her account after she got attached to a client and he ghosted her when they planned to meet in public.

She answers an ad for a live in nanny, meets the dad at his restaurant, and despite some bumbling, gets the job. Her new boss, Aiden, is hot but she plans to keep things strictly professional. His daughter, Sophie, is a tough nut and has run off a few nannies. Cassie is determined to win her over.

Cassie and Sophie actually develope a cute relationship and it was fun to watch that blossom. Also, the more time Aiden and Cassie spend together, there's a spark they can't deny. Things happen that bring them together, and then several events push them apart. I loved their chemistry and their banter. And the snippets of her prior OnlyFans talk in between chapters.

I also adored Wanda, Cassie's former neighbor, BFF and retired lady with a mouth on her and a heart of gold. Their relationship was adorable, especially due to Cassie's estrangement from her own parents.

This was a cute, sweet, also spicy, romance, but had some real issues and real feelings. I will look for more from Lana Ferguson in the future.

Many thanks to Berkley Publishing and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was so different than anything I’ve ever read. A modern spin on a you’ve got mail type plot (but also nothing like it?). Cassie is in need of a job and applies for a nanny position. When she goes to the interview and sees Aiden (her future boss) she’s stunned to know he’s HOT. After a semi disastrous first meeting, she’s shocked when he gives her the job. Now she’s living with her hot boss and his sassy daughter. Except Cassie soon realizes that her hot boss might actually be someone she knows from her past.

Here’s what to except:

- a 70 year old best friend
- Hilarious banter
- A cute & sassy 9 year old daughter
- He was her biggest OnlyFans subscriber
- Found family goodness
- Boss/nanny
- Spicey Spice 😳🌶
- Forced proximity
- Sneaking around 😏

I enjoyed a lot about this book. Sophie (aidens daughter) was the star of this book and Wanda (Cassie’s 70 yr old bff). I LOVED all the banter and cute found family moments that happened. Also the chemistry and spice was immature *chefs kiss*

However, I found a few parts of it fell a bit flat for me. Some of the characters make decisions I didn’t like and the “villain” in this story was just plain awful and I hated that storyline. I wished a few things were cleared up properly but the epilogue did make up for some of that stuff. I think I might enjoy this more if I read a physical copy.

Thanks SO much to Berkley Publishing for this ARC

The Nanny by Lana Ferguson
Rating: 3 stars
Steam: Open Door: 4 chilis
Pub Date: 4/11

The Nanny is a hot, steamy twist on the classic single dad/hot nanny trope. In this version, Cassie answers an ad for a live-in nanny position, and it turns out that her new employer, Aiden, was a subscriber to her Only Fans account.

This had a solid premise. I am a sucker for the single dad trope, so this seemed right up my alley! Unfortunately, it fell a little flat for me.

There is a lot to like about this one. I loved Cassie’s relationship with Sophie, the little girl she nannies for. They share some adorable moments that made me tear up a little bit. Aiden is kind, thoughtful, and a great dad. His banter with Cassie is super cute at times, and he is a master at dirty talk, which I greatly enjoyed. I also really liked Sophie and Cassie’s friend, Wanda, too.

I mostly struggled with the two MCs. Cassie and Aiden are one-dimensional characters who have intense sexual chemistry but little else to talk about except their attraction to one another. I couldn’t relate to either character and didn’t care if they stayed together or not. The stakes felt low, and I wasn’t invested in the outcome. There were also some pacing issues, where the story seemed to be moving along nicely, and then it started to drag.

This book is VERY steamy. I love smutty books, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of seggsy time these two get in, especially with a child in the house. (*cough* unrealistic *cough*) Unfortunately, the steam didn’t move the plot along. It was just there for the sake of it, which was a detriment to the story, in my opinion.

This wasn’t my favorite, but I have seen some excellent reviews, so it’s probably just a me thing! If you’re looking for a light, super steamy read that you can breeze through quickly, then you should pick this up. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Berkley Romance for my early copy in exchange for an honest review.

Don’t let the cute cartoon cover on this one fool you – if you’re looking for a heartfelt romance that knows how to bring the heat, look no further than The Nanny by Lana Ferguson!

Cassie is a young woman trying to put herself through college. She has no support from her family, so in an effort to make money in a way that fits into her busy school schedule, Cassie starts an OnlyFans account (or a “boobycam” as her hilarious elderly neighbor calls it). When she gets too close to one of her anonymous fans, Cassie pulls the plug on her account. She struggles to find and keep a job after OnlyFans until she finally lands a gig as a live-in nanny.

Aiden is an executive chef at a popular local restaurant. He loves his job but it makes raising his 9-year-old daughter, Sophie, a challenging endeavor, especially since Sophie excels in running off nannies if she doesn’t like them. Aiden is desperate for help and when Cassie applies for the job, he practically begs her to take it.

Aiden and Cassie are clearly attracted to each other from their first in person meeting. The more Aiden watches Cassie try to win over Sophie, the more he cares about her, while the more Cassie watches Aiden trying to be the best dad he can for Sophie, the more she cares about him too. As the two grow closer and things start to really heat up between them, Aiden tells a story that Cassie has heard before…on OnlyFans!…and she realizes that Aiden is actually the fan that she grew too close to when she was on that site. Awkward!

I really enjoyed how all of the elements of this story came together, from the super steamy scenes between Cassie and Aiden to the more innocent and adorable family moments between Aiden, Cassie, and Sophie. I was just so invested in the three of them becoming a family and was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how things would play out once Aiden finally realized that he and Cassie have a very intimate history together.

I highly recommend The Nanny to anyone who enjoys romances that feature forced proximity, workplace romances, sizzling bedroom scenes, with a healthy side of family moments to round things out.

What I Liked: Cassie and Aiden are both wonderfully written characters that acted in realistic ways, especially for a romance novel. Even when there are aspects of the story that may seem unrealistic (such as the live-in nanny trope), they felt real. It’s normally hit or miss for me when an author includes extraneous things like text messages, emails etc…. but I loved the inclusion of Cassie and Aiden’s OnlyFans messages. It was a great way to show the depth of their feelings for each other before meeting in person. I loved how sex positive this book was and how Cassie being a sex worker wasn’t seen as something that was bad or dirty. This book also has some of the best supporting characters I’ve seen in a while. Sophie and Wanda were a delight and every scene with them added something to the story. Wanda in particular was great and I would love to see more of her. I loved that this story was unique and unpredictable and even though I could see some things coming, there were moments that surprised me, and that’s hard to do!

What I Didn’t Like: I understand that most romance novels will have a third-act issue that separates the couple or causes distress. The complication that occurs in this book seemed weak and rushed and almost as if the publisher wanted Ferguson to add something.

Who Should Read It: Fans of sexy, contemporary romances will really love this book as will fans of single dad and forced proximity stories.

Review Wrap-Up: I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I was worried that the OnlyFans plotline would be tough to make into a believable love story but I was wrong. This was a sweet and sexy romance with fun characters. I look forward to reading more by Ferguson.

Favorite Quote: “I should stop staring at his hands, in any case. Even if they are large enough to make a girl mentally calculate when her last date was.”

This just didn't hit the mark for me. The concept felt interesting and fun, but it ended up falling a little flat.
Pros:
-Sophie, the adorable daughter who called the adults on their BS
-Wanda, the Bingo playing surrogate mom to Cassie
Cons:
-Flat main characters (Cassie and Aiden just didn't have me jumping up and down and swooning over them 😕)
-Repetitive

A college student taking a Nanny job for a sexy chef who happens to be a single dad - SIGN ME UP!

So, this is the first For Only Fans romance I've read, and it worked within the story. The flashbacks to their secret interactions on the platform were spicy. Neither knows who the other is as he has never turned on his screen when he pays for private viewings of her and she wears a disguise. Aiden is a man of words, and not afraid to say what he desires. It's not until they are skin to skin do they make the connection they've met before, and acknowledge each wanted the other. To her, he was more than just a paying viewer.

The chemistry between Aiden, and his new nanny, Cassie is off the charts. Their sweet interactions, flirty banter were a fun mix to relationship building between him, his daughter and the nanny. The secondary characters were fun too, let's hear it for Wanda. She sure did enjoy her bingo winnings - wink, wink.

The Nanny was a pleasant surprise in the best way. Highly recommend this saucy little read!

Thank you Berkley Publishing for the complimentary copy.

I DNF’d at 27% because:
-The author egregiously overuses ellipsis; on average 4 per page. It really took me out of the story and made me start line-editing rather than reading and enjoying.
-The dialogue was generally stunted and kind of awkward. If the dialogue isn’t good, it kills the story for me.
-The angst and tension build between the two MCs felt forced to me.

The main reason though? The ellipsis. I swear if they just removed 85% of them I would try this novel again. As of right now? These characters pause way too much when they speak.

Getting her life together, going back to school, Cassie responds to an ad for a live-in nanny position. When she takes the job, she instantly grows close to the little girl Sophie, despite the child’s stubbornness. And the hot chef single dad Aiden? That’s a whole other story Cassie can’t help resist. When they finally stop fighting their mutual attraction, Cassie realizes that he was the guy that subscribed to her OnlyFans account, the guy who she fell for over the Internet, the guy who stood her up when they were going to meet IRL. Holy. Crap. Now what?

Honest opinion: this was a fun read! Loved the dual POV, the fun snippets from the MC’s OnlyFans encounters, and the small cast of characters. But, it was a little too long and one too many chapters of just pure smut, which was not for me. Still a great debut packed with rom, com, and raunch!

I liked the premise of this book and I don't normally dislike insta-love, but their initial interest in each other seemed rather shallow. It didn't work me. The ending was a bit ridiculous, especially with Cassie's martyr act.

I thought a lot of the banter was well written, but then it began to feel like banter was the main building block of this novel.

Thank you to Berkley and Let's Talk Books for the advanced reader copy and to PRH Audio for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.

This was such a great read. It's a second chance romance but with a major twist. Cassie and Aiden never actually met during their first chance. She was on Only Fans, and he was her biggest fan. It's a year later, and with both unaware of their previous history, he hires her as a nanny for his duagher, Sophie.

I normally don't read much of the synopsis, but I had for this book. And I actually thought having done so added to the tension and build of the slow burn of Cassie and Aiden living together. It meant that I knew something before they did.

I loved the Only Fans chats between many of the chapters. And I really enjoyed how well done the steamy scenes were. More than that, I just loved the characters and the plot. Cassie is so smart and motivated to help children, and Aiden is an incredible chef. There were parts of the middle that annoyed me a bit, particularly in terms of open communication, but I enjoyed the beginning and end so much that all I really recall is the good parts.

Samantha Summers and Jameson Adams narrated the audiobook. Her voicing of different characters and emotions was especially spectacular. He also did well, but she really stood out for me.

4.5 stars rounded up

The Nanny was just...not my favorite. Unfortunately, I didn't care at all for either of our main characters, so it was hard to find any chemistry or redeeming qualities about them. I don't think there's a single conversation between them in this book that isn't filled with stuttering nonsense or going back and forth on how great/hot/beautiful the other is. If you're reading for sex only, this might be your cup of tea, but unfortunately, the story didn't fill in the blanks around the smut.
