It’s only five chapters but Katee Robert has done it again. I can’t wait to dive back into Olympus. The characters are well fleshed out and I’m ready for the rest!

I love this series, and I'm so excited about this book. The first five chapters have me wanting more! In mythology and other depictions in stories Apollo is kind of seen as a villain. Or he’s seen as a really rough person and can take no for an answer. The author has converted Apollo into a nice character. Cassandra and Apollo’s dynamic is like grumpy x sunshine. Cassandra is grumpy, but readers see her as a woman in society who stands her ground and doesn’t tolerate the manipulative society of the thirteen. She does show soft spots for Apollo, much to her dismay. Other tropes are workplace romance and fake dating, but that will be fleshed out in the upcoming chapters. This review will be posted on GoodReads: on 11/2/22.

Yeah, I don't like Katee Robert's writing style. I don't like this series at all. It's not that great and there are better romance novels out there.

*5 Chapter review*

So far this book is everything I wanted it to be. We follow Cassandra and Apollo through their work life together. Cassandra seems to be battling her true feelings for Apollo and hides being a mask of stone. This follows a continuation of her other Dark Olympus books and I think it follows nicely together. This seems to be an interesting twist compared to the last book. I feel like the last book in this series was fast paced and we jumped right into the spice and so far I think this may take a little longer to get too just from the energy I’m picking up from Cassandra. I could be wrong. I’m not entirely upset about that either, I love a good plot.

Review of Radiant Sin (5 chapters preview)

A love story is cooking between an Apollo elect and his personal assistant Cassandra. The latter's parents were murdered and her family was disgraced. This was a result of her parent's greed for power. She is obsessed with her boss yet she is afraid the city will think of her as a gold digger sleeping her way to power. Her boss is secretly eyeing her but doesn't want to abuse his power. Radiant Sin by Katee Robert is a difficult love story.

The plot is the best aspect of the story so far. It has the potential to develop conflicts between powerful people called 'The Thirteen'. The border is not clear whether technological, magical, or mystical is failing. This is also inviting to the story.

Due to the brevity of the material read I found many things unsatisfactory. The main characters did not appeal to me. Most of their hidden feelings for each other were psychological torture.

I dare not rate this preview excerpt. I believe that there may be a great story behind the curtains.

I recommend readers of erotic and fantasy to check out Radiant Sin. Names from Greek mythology have been used. These names have little bearing on Greek History.

It may be only the first 5 chapters but Katee Robert knows how to flesh out amazing characters in a city full of secrets and high stakes!

Thanks for the first 5 chapters Netgalley. of course I cannot wait for the book to come out and already know I am going to LOVE it.

Is it January yet? Because I cannot wait for this book.

I love Cassandra, she is competent, confident, cynical with a dry wit that had me laughing. She is attracted to her boss but is too controlled to ever consider acting on it.

Then there is Apollo who seems like a sweetheart of a man, especially for one of the Thirteen, who sings to himself and according to Cassandra is pretty absent minded for a spymaster. He is attracted to his assistant but is so conscious of the power dynamic that he is afraid to pursue her.

So of course they are going to end up fake dating as a cover for some super secret spy stuff.

I cannot wait to read the rest!

Thank you To sourcebooks and NetGalley for a preview of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I already knew I was going to love this book. I am a huge Katee Robert fan, having read 32 of her books, but some of her books have to be part of the elite group. And I can tell that Radiant Sin is going to be part of the elite group. This book has the fake dating trope, mutual pining, a plus size FMC, and is basically a spy thriller. The plot goes above and beyond and you have the amazing writing that is standard to this author! I only got a taste here, but I am so psyched out of my mind for this book. You really only needed five chapters to know that this is going to be amazing.

While this preview is only five chapters, it already has me hooked and ready for the rest of Cassandra and Apollo's story. Fake dating while spying tells me this will be another unique, but interlocked, storyline in the Dark Olympus series - one that promises spice, snark, and ever-present political intrigue. Very excited to continue reading this story when its fully available!

This preview has me so excited for the release of Radiant Sin! Only 5 chapters in and I love Apollo and Cassandra to pieces. Cass has a spitfire attitude and takes shïť from no one. I love that she's plus size and loves it too. Apollo seems so freaking sweet, I can't wait to watch him win her over. Forced Proximity and One Bed are some of my favorite tropes, so I am here for this 100%.

I didn’t know it was possible, but with each new addition to the Dark Olympus series I fall more in love. I’m really interested to see what happens in Radiant Sin. I’m loving Cassandra’s personality and within three sentences of Apollo’s first chapter I was hooked.
So excited to read Radiant Sin when it comes out. Thank you for the preview!

GIMME GIMME GIMME IT ALL!

Fake dating but doing so as spies and gathering information against potential threats, I am SO IN! Katee Roberts always proves that she can hook you into her books in a few chapters, they write the plot so enticing, and each character always feels genuine/ uniquely human.

I will say Cassandra can walk all over me as she does to Apollo's heart!
I cannot wait for the book!

Radiant Sin is the next book in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series. This brief preview simply reinforces my belief that Apollo and Cassandra’s story might be the best yet in this amazing series.

Cassandra works for Apollo, the spy master of The Thirteen of Olympus. She’s his assistant, but her goal is for herself and her sister to escape the stifling confines of the city. Apollo is stumped by the erosion of the barrier that separates Olympus from the outside world. It’s a secret, but mysterious newcomer Minos may have some answers. Cassandra agrees to go undercover as Apollo’s fake girlfriend at a house party to help him search for information and motives. In return, she’s guaranteed freedom for her and her sister.

The intrigue! The characters! Aside from being super hot, the plot twists in this series make the books impossible to put down. I love Cassandra’s sarcasm, and her biting wit is the best reaction to the jabs Olympus sends her way. Her interaction with Hera/Callisto and Psyche was a treat and left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the entire book of Radiant Sin to arrive in February!

I really like Cassandra's character. She seems strong in the face of adversity from the city. This was just enough of a taste to get me excited to see what is in store for her and Apollo at the party. Eagerly anticipating the next release in Dark Olympus!

This is a really interesting take on Greek mythology. This was only the first five chapters and quite a bit of back story and world building, but good nonetheless. Ill definitely be picking it up when it comes out! I know there are a few other books in this series, starting I believe with a Hades and Persephone one. I think if you read the other books, the back story might feel a little less complicated.

These first few chapters really set up the story and I'm so excited to read the whole book when it comes out!

I’ve loved the first three books in this series and after reading this preview I can anticipate I’ll love this one as well! I can’t wait to see how the relationship between Cassandra and Apollo evolves and how the greater over arching story in the series progresses.
