Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read this eARC!
Ooohhh!!! This was only a 3 chapter preview and it was SO GOOD! The gruesome start was a banger with an incredible layering to the personalities of our characters, to the depth of the world. Scarlett St. Clair's writing is truly magical and I cannot wait to grab a physical copy and eat it up!
It's a great start into the second book of the series. It is starting of strong and I can't wait for the rest of the book and to see how the story continues.
What an incredible preview! I was already counting down the days till it releases. Now I truly cannot wait!
I’m curious to see where this book will go. I appreciate the author’s trigger warnings at the beginning.
I’m curious to see if we will make the male love interest more vulnerable in this book. I’m hoping that the book isn’t just spicy scenes with alittle plot.
THIS is how you make the sequel in a series stand out immediately. Usually, the second book tends to start out slow and struggles to grab your attention in the first few pages but this book absolutely pulls you in from the first line. I honestly didn't expect to get so excited about the rest of the book just from 3 chapters.
I do think that the early spice acts like a bit of a distraction from the actual plot, which felt genuinely interesting and I just kinda blew past it to see what happens next.
The best part about this though? Isolde.
She was a queen then and she's a queen now. But with an even stronger BDE.
We stan.
Thank You NetGalley for this preview ARC.
Words cannot express how excited I am to read this book in all its glory. The first three chapters of Queen of Myth and Monsters open with a punch, and I already couldn't put it down. QMM begins where we left off in KBB as Isolde and Adrian are dealing with the aftermath of everything that happened.
I have had this book preordered since the moment I was able to, and cannot wait to get my hands on it and absolutely devour it like I did the first. I already know it's going to be a favourite.
Verdict: Read!!! Especially if you’re a paranormal romance fan.
The second installation in St. Clair’s Adrian x Isolde series follows Isolde as she navigates palace politics and threats to her home. If you like paranormal romance, fantasy, or spicy reads, you will definitely like this book! With great dialogue and pacing to boot, this is definitely a book you’ll end up binging.
Thanks to Sourcebooks for the preview!
As Queen Isolde watches her husband go into battle she begins to seek answers in her quest to claim her rightful thrown of her father and conquer and free the land of her mother. Magic, mystery and hope weave the story as the reader is drown into the world or magic and betrayal. I enjoyed my sneak peek at this upcoming release and can’t wait to dive into the world of kings, vampires and loyalty.
Queen of Myth and Monsters packs a punch with just the first three chapters I was given to review. I have not read the first book, but the first chapter filled in enough gaps to where if you haven't read it, you don't feel like you're missing out. The relationship between Isolde and Adrien is beautiful and Scarlett St. Clair has a way of writing all-consuming relationships that are just perfection.
If you're a fan of vampires, witchcraft, romance, fantasy, Scarlett St. Clair, or just a good book in general: snag this one!
This is a solid introduction to the continuation of the story. It seemed like it might have been slow to start but it jumped right into the continuing conflict.
It makes me excited to read the book when it is released, as I felt like there were many things missing from the first book that this book will likely answer.
GIVE ME THIS BOOK IMMEDIATELY I WANT IT NOW!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I owned and read King of Battle and Blood, and was so lucky to have found this preview! These first three chapters are well written, makes me even more excited to wait for the full book’s release. Ready to dive back into Adrian and Isolde’s story.
I was lucky enough to get a chance to read a preview Queen of Myth and Monsters and oh my gosh! I think this series will quickly be in my top reads of all time. I admit I was concerned I wouldn't be able to get into the preview because I hadn't read the first book but instead I ended up buying it so I would be ready! Great job with getting us in hook line and sinker so quickly!!
I read a preview of the first 3 chapters. I LOVED it! I love Isolde and Adrian. She is fierce and capable and Adrian adores her for it. I cannot wait for this book to be released. This will be a series I will reread and enjoy every time. There’s never a dull moment. The sex is steamy and the characters are well developed.
Since this is only a preview, I can only comment on what I have read. So far this is a fascinating snippet of the sequel and I'm highly anticipating its release.
This preview was AMAZING! I hope I get the opportunity to review the book. I absolutely love Scarlett St. Clair. I finished the hades x persephone books in a day and a half. I love the way she writes. Always makes it so difficult to put the books down.
I am so excited about the second book!!! I loved the first and I can't wait for this.
Thank you for the preview. Such a good read!
I enjoyed king of Battle and Blood so much and this was such a good preview! It’s just as fast paced and steamy in these three chapters as the first book so can’t wait until it is all available!
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this preview.
I really enjoyed the first book in the series, King of Battle and Blood, and I read it back when it was first released and haven't re-read it. This ended up being a slight problem while I was reading this preview. I wish there was more background information given to set up the story again because I forgot certain names, events, and details. In all, it may be necessary to re-read Book 1 before diving into this.
Thank you to Bloom Books and Netgalley for providing me with this Preview in exchange for an honest review.
I feel weird giving a star rating but I guess 4/5 stars.
I have been waiting for this book since I finished the first one last year and even just getting a 3 chapter preview was so exciting. This picks up either right after the first or not very long after it and was super fun in the first 3 chapters. There was spice, romance, and action in a very short amount of time and I can just tell the rest of the book is going to be chaos in the best way. I can’t wait to read the full book and I hopefully will share a full review of the book after or before release depending on when I get to read it.
