This is a graphic novel that will get laughs out of adults and middle schoolers alike!

Book and Wizkit remind me off a more sassy version of the "Piggy and Elephant" series. Book is so whimsically optimistic and upbeat that you can't help what to be their friend too.

This book is built on a lot of strange details but it's strange in a fun way. It doesn't feel the need to explain itself. If you can accept a cyclops cat wizard and a talking book without question you're in for an entertaining read. The messaging is solid and the details are fun.

A really fun graphic novel with a protagonist we can all identify with. Who doesn't want to make their work go a little faster and be a little easier? But magic always comes with a price.

I was very surprised by this graphic novel. For my work, I read a lot of graphic novels for younger readers. There are some really incredible books coming out. But there are also a lot of very familiar seeming books. Whenever I read something that feels different, it is like a breath of fresh air.

This story, with it's original and creative artwork felt very different and new. It did seem a little bit pedantic at parts, but I would still recommend this one to young readers.

Wizkit is a young wizard cat who loves bread, staying inside, and avoiding chores. Can relate. When he and his teacher stumble upon a crying book, Wizkit is sent on an adventure to return Book to the library.

I love this graphic novel. The art style is adorable and the characters are even better! I love our sassy, sometimes cynical, Wizkit, and Book has my whole heart <3. I really hope we get to see more of them in the future!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a simple guy with simple tastes, and I'm a sucker for characters with big, googly wall-eyes. I chuckle every single time Book looks in two different directions at once. Also, Wizkit and I share so many interests (laziness, bread). What's not to like?!

In addition to just being a jolly good time full of chuckles, this was a surprisingly sweet story about getting out of your comfort zone and making friends, and great for all ages.

The cuter the cover, the more feral middle schoolers go over the book. A cyclops cat is going to have them foaming at the mouth, especially the kids who are going through their "Adventure Time" TV show phase. For the older readers, those with the taste for the old-school "Sabrina the Teenage Witch', they are going to love the personality of the darling cyclops cat. Black cats always have the best personalities (speaking as a seasoned cat owner myself) and this little guy is no exception. The story is goofy, comforting, and full of valuable lessons.

This is a cute middle grade graphic novel about a feline magical apprentice sent on a quest to deliver an overdue library book. Silly and somewhat ridiculous, Wizkit and Book travel the realm, helping dragons and other creatures on their way.

This book was weird, but in a good, charming, joyful adventure for fans of Cartoon Network shows weird.

This cute graphic novel is perfect for middle grade readers who love books, animals and fantasy. A young cat learning magic goes on an adventure to help an overzealous library book return to the library after becoming overdue. Little do either of them realize that the book's blank pages still need to be filled! A fun little adventure about friendship and learning to believe in yourself.

A fun and whimsical adventure featuring a magical cyclops cat and her first adventure away from home! WizKit is a one eyed cat who can do magic, she’s a wizard’s apprentice and she spends most of her time indoors because she’s too lazy to go out exploring, however that all changes when an overdue library book cries out for help! Now it’s up to Wizkit to adventure out and return the book to the Library. Wizkit and the book will go on an adventure, meet new friends, go to new places, and have a fun adventure! This was such a charming and cute read that I think would make a great graphic novel for any kid who enjoys something whimsical and charming.

Wizkit was an absolute delight! The story starts with Wizkit being a little too comfortable in its own world, so it’s given the task of returning on overdue library book. The book is quite different from Wizkit, and they have some grand adventures together. The illustrations are cute and colorful, and I think the story can be enjoyed by all ages.

Wizkit was a young wizard who loved bread and didn't like to go outside. One day their teacher tasked them to return an overdue library book. They planned to go straight to library without detours and went straight back home. But instead they stumbled into a little adventure, met some new friends, and learned a few things along the way. The vibes was absolutely magical, the illustrations were cute and beautiful, the story was heartwarming and full of moral values. Another cozy fantasy graphic novel i recommend.

I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher.
Wizkit is a magical cat creature that lives in a whimsical magical world. They are a student and live with their teacher. Wizkit is lazy and does not like going out or meeting people. Their teacher forces them to go against this when they find an overdue sentient book. Wizkit's teacher sends them to return Book to the library, leading to adventures and lessons.
This was an amusing and fun tale. It was clearly a morality tale where Wizkit was supposed to learn something from their trip. Each adventure was fun and allowed Wizkit to grow.
Personally, as a librarian, I loved the message about libraries and how they help people grow, learn, and go on adventures.
This is a great book for middle-grade readers and older.
