Reading this soon after watching Emily in Paris REALLY made my desire to visit France hit hard. The food descriptions are mouth-watering, the characters are likable, and the plot is so fun!

This was a cute book and enjoyable read but nothing that was overly-memorable for me. It's a good plane, beach, vacation read.

I wish I had known what this book truly was before requesting it..

The ONLY thing I enjoyed about this book was the setting. Paris is a beautiful place and I've always wanted to to travel there. The descriptions of the scenery and Eiffel Tower were engrossing and really put me there. It was top notch.

The rest of the book however.........

I've never been a huge insta-love fan, especially so as an adult. This book was solely based on that trope. Within what basically amounts to 48 hours or so, Cassie and Julien are obsessed with each other and God forbid Julien dare even speak to another woman after 24 of those hours.

Cassie is RIDICULOUS. She is whiny and immature. It's no wonder her boyfriend abroad didn't hang around quite frankly. She needed to GROW UP.

I don't write book details in my reviews because personally, I feel like the smallest things can spoil a book, but just know......if you like realistic love, and mature characters....it's not for you.

What a gorgeous premise, the excitement of not only a New Year, but also a New Decade, Century and MILLENIUM!

I was too young to understand the hype in 1999, I was only 6 and it most likely went waaay over my head.

This book made me see what I 'missed' - the excitement, lil' nerves for 'end of the world' and so on

This book is about our FMC, Callie who flew to Paris six months ago to be with her boyfriend who then dumped her. As this book is set in 1999, Callie and her friends plan to spend the remaining 4 days in Paris before flying back to the States but she bumps into her best friend’s brother, Julien and sparks fly. My opinion on this book is that it’s cute but it falls flat. It’s just not that memorable enough for me. However, I do recommend it if you’re bored and in the mood for a quick cute read.

This story was a sweet one! Who doesn’t love anything set in Paris, it’s already dreamy right? It was predictable, but overall a cute story.

Excellent writing, I was hooked almost immediately. Romance is quickly becoming a favourite genre of mine, and this did not disappoint.

Fun friendships. Sweet Paris. Falling in love. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. Nothing to write home about, but sweet for a sick day.

This book was super cute. Set in Paris, our main character arrives to be with her lover only to be dumped. In four days, you see love and friendship bloom for her. Nothing super grand happens and what I men by that is its not like something major happened to force the two to finally reveal their feelings.

This book was not for me. I wish it was because I love Paris (ok so I’ve never been but I know I will love it!) however this book just didn’t hit its mark for me.
They had 4 days to fall in love and it was an instant love feeling and I don’t love that trope. I think that for some people they will really like this book however for me it fell flat.

It was a cute short read. I enjoyed the dialogue and descriptions. If you like cute romantic novels I would definitely recommend.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Callie and Julien. They meet in Paris. Callie has just quit her job and is moving home in 4 days. Julien with 2 friends come to a party and meets Callie. There is an instant attraction. They go sightseeing all over Paris. They spend a lot of time together. The last day together they decide that Julien will come home with Callie and stay two weeks. The fell in love with one another.

This book was really sweet. I loved the friendships that Callie gained during her time in Paris. The references to all the food they ate made me really hungry as well! I need to go to Paris now and eat everything they ate.. If your looking for a very sweet and adorable book with lots of details about Paris, this is for you.

Callie's time in Paris started out rocky. She came to Paris to be with the love of her life after waiting for her to finish her degree. After a whirlwind romance, Callie decided to pack everything up to move to Paris and chase her happily ever after. That happily ever after came crashing down mere hours after landing in Paris when Vic told Callie that things weren't working out and he no longer wanted to see her. Instead of traveling back to the US with her tail tucked between her legs, Callie stayed in Paris. She had always dreamed of living in Paris and here she was. She wasn't going to let the opportunity slip from her fingers. So Callie stayed and created some amazing friendships with Lila and Emilie and began to explore the city of love.

Callie's time in Paris was drawing to a close. She begun to miss her family and friends and decided after New Year's, it was time to go home. That's when her world flipped upside down when a blue eyed boy walked into Emilie's apartment. There was an instant connection. One that neither one of them could fight. It was as if Paris wasn't ready to let Callie leave with a sour taste in her mouth of love. But was this more than a fling? Could they really last more than the four days that Callie had left in Paris? Could Julien's and Callie's hearts withstand another heartbreak? Or were they destined for something greater?

Honestly, the descriptions of Paris and the historical part of it was beautifully written. At times, it felt like I was in Paris walking down the Sienne River with Callie and her friends. The book was decently written but honestly, I could not root for any of the characters. I couldn't connect with Callie at all. She was just so whiny and I tried to put myself in her shoes but I just couldn't bring myself to like her. Same with Julien. Some of the phrases and things that he said took me from being engrossed in the story to realize that it was a story. Almost like everything he was saying was a line to feed Callie to get her in bed. It just seemed so fake. It's the stuff we always want to hear but coming out of Julien's mouth just didn't feel right.

This book's entire premise is insta-love. I didn't realize how heavy in insta-love it was or I would have not picked it up being my least favorite trope. I just find it completely unrealistic and I just do not enjoy it. Again these are all my own opinions. What may not worked for me, may be your next favorite book. Overall, I just did not enjoy this book. I can appreciate the descriptions and historical context of Haddock's description of Paris but otherwise, this book was not for me.

This was a first time read for me by this author. It was a beautiful, love at first sight story, and great for a cozy holiday read. The author did a really nice job of setting the stage and taking the reader to Paris and seeing the city through Callie's eyes. The story was fast-paced and kept my attention all the way through. It show-cased a mix of romance, new beginnings, and strong female friendships. Callie had come to Paris to be with her love, but is now nursing a broken heart. She has created a life for herself there with her friends, but is now ready to return home in just a few short days. But then she meets Julien, and things don't seem so cut and dry anymore.
This was a beautiful story about love and heartbreak and also about letting yourself heal and feel what you need to feel, before moving on. The story was entertaining and fun and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. I would definitely like to read more books by this author.

This story was very sweet and was the exact depiction of what i feel like falling in love in Paris would feel like. Although it was a sweet, quick and enjoyable read it wasn’t memorable for me. I feel like it was very much monotone in the sense that nothing surprised me.

I loved the friendship between the female main character and her friends and would have liked to see more interaction between them. I felt like there was a TON of time spent on setting the scene. I also felt like the conversation between Callie and Julien should have happened so much earlier than it did and not behind closed doors.

While i do think this is a cute, it just fell a little flat for me.
