I wish there was more in the second part of the book. Still a great beginners guide to Ayurvedic Cleansing. There is a lot of information in the first part of the book.

The book has a problem of being too simplistic and too overwhelming at the same time. The recipe section was lacking in variety.

Super Easy Ayurvedic Cleansing
Author: Kimberly Larson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a good introductory book for someone who is looking to learn about Ayurveda. It is broken up in two parts with Part 1 focusing on the fundamentals of Ayurveda and Part 2 focuses on outlining cleanses and diets according to your body type. The book is well written and makes it easy to follow/understand the basics of Ayurveda.

Thanks to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group, and Kimberly Larson for an advanced copy of the book. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Great introductory work on the practice ayurvedic cleansing! This was a new concept for me, so very interesting. Great for the metaphysical section, will definitely be getting a copy for our growing collection.

Very thorough in it's presentation. There is a lot of information to unpack in this book. I found it useful but lacking in the recipe section.

A Safe and Healthy Way to Cleanse

Kimberly Larson discusses what Ayurveda is, providing some background information and states that as an Ayurvedic practitioner, she believes that people must address two factors before undertaking any cleanse.
1. The first is to understand which diet will support your health in your typical, everyday life and to use that knowledge to prepare food to nourish yourself. She states that this baseline diet of personalized, healthful eating is important, because each one of us is different and therefore has different needs, and we must meet those needs before we can prepare to undertake a cleanse.
2. The second factor is to understand which type of cleanse is right for you, given your current state of health. She state that the Ayurvedic principles explained in this book will provide the information needed to make knowledgeable decisions.

The author outlines this book into two parts, as outlined below:
1. Part I of this book walks you through the four simple health care steps according to Ayurveda. It is in this part that the author discusses determining your body and mind type, why we need to cleanse, choosing the appropriate cleanse for our body and mind, and when we should cleanse.
2. Part II lays out a simple 31-day protocol to prepare our body and mind to go in to and ease out of a gentle Ayurvedic cleanse. In this part of the book, the author provides daily and weekly protocols for cleansing during the first 28 days, and the final three days are the digestive cleansing days, with limited diet and activity.

I truly enjoyed reading this book. Many thanks to the author. For not only does this book provide a healthy and save way to cleanse, the author also provides more than fifty recipes for personalized, healthful daily living as well as for times of cleansing. She states that individuals can also use these recipes when following the 31-day cleansing protocol outlined in Part II above. In the final section of Part II, the author provides suggestions for easing out of the cleanse in a safe and timely manner.

Highly recommend for those of us wanting a safe and healthy cleanse the Ayurvedic way.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a guide for beginners on ayurvedic cleansing, but it is a bit overwhelming at times. The book starts with information about the different types, but as a real beginner I found the section on how to determine your type confusing. The rest of the book is focused on a holistic view of each type, like how to cleanse and how often to cleanse and what to eat and things like that. While it's a lot of information I think it could be broken down more and made more accessible.

I like reading about the Ayurvedic lifestyle, but I always tend to get overwhelmed and then confused on how that might apply to me or to others, but this book really helps make it clear and less confusing. This book goes in depth about the importance of cleansing ourselves and how to go about it for your specific body-mind type. It gives you baby step suggestions on how to go about doing this and the reasons behind these steps. It's like hand holding you into a healthier lifestyle.

This book has plenty of recipes specific to your type, which is very helpful because you don't even have to think about it. It encourages you to just do it. There are lots of images and graphs to help you figure out your type.

This book does exactly what it says. Cleanses can promise everything from clear skin, to zero belly fat, to increased energy, to absolute nirvana. But really—what most people need is self-care and the right nourishment, not extreme care and deprivation. This will be incorporated into my life long-term! Highly recommend!

I have heard a lot about Ayurveda but i'm a real beginner and do not know a lot about it.
This book is great for a beginner, and does what it says on the tin. It explains hell of a lot about Ayurvedic Cleansing, but in a way that does not overwhelm a beginner.
It is super easy to follow and really informative.
I enjoyed this book, and feel that it is one that I will return back to.

This is a short book that covers the basics of an easy ayurvedic cleansing. There is lots of information about what an ayurvedic cleansing is and some recipes to get you started. I liked the explanation of the different doshas and how your dosha can effect the foods you would choose to eat for a cleansing. There is lots of useful tips in this book to get you started on ayurvedic living.

Super Easy Ayurvedic Cleansing is a beginner guide to cleansing the body and mind in a manageable way. It includes 50 basic cleansing recipes and meal-planning tips and a full detailed 4 week cleanse. The book shows you how to determine your Ayurvedic type and how the system works. Even though it claims to be manageable without deprivation, I still found it to be quite restrictive. Not sure it is for me but a very good guide overall..

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing me with an early copy of this book.

Super Easy Ayurvedic Cleansing by Kimberly Larson has a good mix of theoretical and practical applications behind the Ayurvedic diet. The explanations are simple enough for the lay person to understand the basics of the diet, but they do not lack detail.

In my, seemingly, never-ending quest to helping my gut health I am looking at different diet options. The Ayurvedic diet takes into account several aspects of the individual and tries to mitigate the imbalances to find balance in the food choices one makes. And balance is all I am after!

Although I am not 100% sold on this diet, the book has opened a door to another realm in the diet world.
