Wiseman completes her series with Hopefully Ever After, a novel where 2 individuals are struggling with their faith and their past. Set in an Amish community, Samuel struggles to keep his faith and sense of identity as an Amish man, while Eden -- an Englisher-- tries to leave her past behind and redefine herself.. Both find themselves working through their struggles as they spend lots of time together. Will Samuel stay in his Amish community or leave? Will Eden leave and go back to the life she once led? OR will they find themselves on the same path?

Wiseman handles these faith struggles well, making it a good conclusion to this series.

Sixteen year old Eden has been sent to stay with her Amish cousin for a month. After the disruptive life she has had she feels like she has come home. Eden meets Samuel an Amish boy and they have an instant connection. Is sixteen to young to find your soul mate? This is a good story about finding your place in the world.

What a sweet story of a young girl full of heartache and anger coming to a family that can show her God’s unconditional love and help her to find healing.

Beth Wiseman gives us a third book in her Amish Bookstore series. We meet some of the characters from previous books, but this could still be read as a stand-alone book.

Eden is a 16-year-old English young girl who has lived a very hard life. She has come to stay with her Amish cousin for a month as her mother is in prison and her guardian is away on a trip. She meets neighbor, Amish boy, Samuel, who wants to learn more about the English life, but his parents are very protective and do not want him to be around Eden or to be on a rumspringa and be exposed to the English life. Because of this, Samuel is considering leaving the Amish community.

This book is a book about young love, forgiveness, faith and hope. The emphasis on how the English struggle in their beliefs as well as how the Amish struggle with their faith makes for an interesting read. I enjoyed this book very much and highly recommend it to others.

I received a copy of this book from Zondervan and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

Another Beth Wiseman series that I have enjoyed. It meshes the English world and the Amish world together. It has a great way of seeing the contrast between living in faith and living in the world.

Eden Hale is the cousin Yvonne Wilson who has been the main character in both previous books. She came from the English world looking for a valuable book that an Amish bookkeeper had at his bookstore. She is now working for at the bookstore and married to Amish man. Yvonne and Abraham have agreed to have Eden stay with them for a month. Eden comes from a troubled past. She does not know her father and her mother has been battling drug addiction for many years. However, Eden has been found by God. God has drawn her in because she has known despair and wants what is important. She has sworn that she will not be like her mother. Her first day with Yvonne, she meets Abraham's nephew Samuel. Samuel should be in Amish "running around" but because of the fear of his parents, they have given him a tight rein. Eden and Samuel have not only an physical attraction to each other, but a attraction of the other's lifestyle. Eden has always wanted a family like Samuel and Samuel always wanted to know what the world was like. Their curiosity of each other, leads to a friendship that causes problem for Samuel and his family and has put Yvonne and Abraham in a tight spot.

Reading Amish books such as this gives you a perspective on faith. Sometimes it easy to take for granted what faith is but reading about Samuel and his struggles about wanting to see the world gave me the perspective of free will and choice. The Amish raise their children to follow God, working together as a family and with community and when the become of age, the parents give their children the freedom to chose the English world or the Amish world. Living a Godly life is not about rules but keeping families safe in the arms of the a loving Father. Samuel was learning about that thru the eyes of Eden and it made their relationship a hopefully ever after!

A special thank you to Zondervan Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

This is a great story about an English girl who comes to stay with her Amish Aunt and Uncle. She meets an Amish young man, Samuel Byler, and they are attracted to each other. This doesnt make Samuel's parents happy. Eden is drawn to the Amish way of life and Samuel is wanting to explore the English world a little bit. This is a great story and I enjoyed learning more about this way of life.

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.

Hopefully Ever After by Beth Wiseman is book three in her The Amish Bookstore series.

Eden is temporarily staying with her older cousin Yvonne in Indiana Amish country. Previously troubled, she loves the peace she’s found there and her friendship with Yvonne’s nephew-in-law, Samuel. Their lives are so different, but they’re growing closer together by the day. She’s only there for a month, but they hope to bridge the gaps in culture for a hopefully ever after.

Beth Wiseman smartly continues the series with a novel that reads as a standalone. There are strong characters and plot. Continuity is maintained with the series. Religious themes of hope, faith, forgiveness, and love are throughout. Hopefully Ever After is a 5 out of 5 star read that I highly recommend it to all readers of romance, especially Christian romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is such a wonderful story of overcoming your past and the way your grew up. It just goes to show that you can change and that if you had a hard upbringing you can choose a different path for yourself. Eden doesn't grow up Amish but ends up living with family who is. She has a beautiful transformation as she meets local boy Samuel and falls in love with him. Their story isn't without hardships but their love is so sweet and strong. Lizzie and Esther (from previous books) also make an appearance.

Beth Wiseman's books are always favorites of mine!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Publishes 18 April 2023.

Beth Wiseman is an author I trust to create memorable books with interesting characters who come to life. Hopefully Ever After definitely did not disappoint. Although Eden and Samuel are both young, they have an instant bond. They are complex, imperfect young people, each with his or her own problems, who help each other cope with life. I hope there is a sequel because I want to know what is next in their lives.

What I read: Hopefully Ever After by Beth Wiseman

Why I picked it up: I read the previous two in the series earlier this year that focused on Jake & Eva’s story and Yvonne & Abraham’s story.

How I read it: The ARC on Kindle

What it’s about: Yvonne’s cousin comes to stay for a month while her Aunt Emma goes on a European vacation. Eden has had a lot of trouble in her life and she’s come out on the other side a faithful woman. But can anyone else see it? Samuel sees her for who she is, but his parents are quite strict and he’s ready to rebel.

What I liked: I appreciated the exploration of faith from these teens.

What I disliked: There were so many times when the adults jumped to conclusions about what the teens were thinking or their intentions. It was so clear to the reader that they didn’t have all of the facts or that they were operating out of pride.

Genre: Chaste love story, amish, grief.

Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and yes, it releases on April 18th – you do need to read the previous two in the series though or you’ll be lost for most of this.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I honestly didn’t think I would like this book bit it surprised me. When I realize it was about two teenagers, I almost didn’t read it. But it was about so much more than that. It showed the struggle of having doubt in God. Also the difference between overprotective parents and ones that ignore you. It was a good book and Eden’s struggle with her mom brought tears to my eyes.
I will definitely recommend this.
Thank you to NetGalley.

3rd book in the Amish Bookstore series. You do not have to read the others first, but it does help a bit to explain the background of some of the characters. This one has young Eden, who comes to visit her Amish cousin, and becomes friends with neighboring Samuel. Both are teenagers, and are attracted to each other, but the English/Amish line is hard to cross. Enjoyed this one and would highly recommend.

I am glad that Beth Wiseman continued this third storyline from her Amish Bookstore series. We get to revisit characters from the first two books and meet new people as well. When Eden, who is a young English girl and has already lived a rough 16 years of her life, is sent to live with an Amish cousin she has never met, she slowly learns that people really can love and respect each other-something she never received from her own mom. When she befriends Samuel, a young Amish man whose parents are very strict, she discovers he is struggling with his faith.

It was refreshing to see how Beth Wiseman turned the tables and had Eden be strong in her faith, but Samuel was having doubts about his faith and remaining Amish. All the other Amish books I have read, it is usually the Amish who have a faith that never waivers and the English characters struggle.

All words and opinions are my own. I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review.

Sixteen-year-old Eden Hale doesn’t want to be defined by her current circumstances. Her mother is in prison, she doesn’t know her father, and she’s had her own run-ins with the law, but Eden refuses to become what people expect. When she is sent to live with an Amish cousin she’s never met in Montgomery, Indiana, she welcomes the chance to become the person she wants to be without the burden of anyone’s judgment. Her hopes are confirmed when she meets Samuel, a young Amish man who seems to like her for who she really is.

Samuel Byler has grown up with strict Amish parents, and they aren’t happy that their only son is choosing to spend his free time with an outsider. As Eden and Samuel grow closer, assumptions close in around the young couple. It isn’t long before Eden starts to doubt herself and wonders if she is doomed to follow in her mother’s footsteps, whether she wants to or not. Meanwhile, Samuel finds himself slipping further and further from his faith—to Eden’s dismay.

Both Eden and Samuel’s futures hang in the balance as they face decisions about who they are—both as individuals and together.

The third installment in the series, and while you don't have to read the other two first, I think you will get more out of this one if you do. All the characters are woven throughout each story.

Another great installment in this clean Amish romance series, a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys Amish romance.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

No one is immune to anger, questioning faith, or making poor decisions -- not even the Amish. This book explores some pretty big issues from the eyes of a pair of sixteen year olds who are dealing with adult problems. It didn't go the direction I thought it would, but ended up in an interesting place...and I look forward to seeing if there is a follow-up to the story. For folks with trigger issues, be aware that there are themes of drug abuse and parental death.
