This was an interesting experience for me as at the time of reading I was also working on some (distressing) first hand material concerning the Far East Prisoners of War from WW2.
The graphic novel format really brought the Japanese perspective of the time to life and it was all too easy to see how easily and quickly events as recounted here could happen again.
I will definitely be looking out for the rest of this series to learn more about events from a different perspective
