Cute, heartfelt and so much love! I loved everything about this book and everything about the two main characters. 5 stars!!!

Tropes: brothers best friend, enemies to lovers, and forced proximity.

This book is a cute vacation romance that features a slow burn between two enemies on a work vacation. Luisa is a career focused copywriter who is the total opposite of her brother's best friend Ed, a photographer who Luisa believes the worst of. The two are thrown together on a work trip and as they spend more time together, Luisa soon questions everything that she ever thought about Ed.

It took me a while to get into this book but I’m glad I stuck with it because the romance between the leads was steamy. Luisa and Ed had amazing chemistry and I loved seeing their relationship unfold. While I adored Ed, I unfortunately disliked the heroine and found her to be very immature. In the third act, the characters experience a major miscommunication relating to Luisa’s best friend and her baby which I was not a fan of. Overall, this was a quick read that I didn’t absolutely love but I still enjoyed some elements of the book, mainly the chemistry between the leads.

I received this ebook from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a good book. The female MC was a little annoying at times. Loved the male MC. The story flowed well and kept me interested till the end.

Based on the synopsis I was expecting an 'enemies to lovers', 'brothers best friend' story. There was so much more going on though. There were a lot of moments and comments made throughout the plot that left me feeling something shocking or more dramatic would happen. Most were all red herrings and, in my opinion, made the book so much longer and I found my concentration waning. ALOT of miscommunication, a surprise pregnancy (not the main characters), and I don't even want to get started on how immature Luisa is and is in her 30s.

This is my first time reading something by this author, so I didn't have any specific expectations going into it. The blurb peaked my interest and I have to say I was not disappointed. This was a sweet and fun, forced proximity story and it kept my interest the till the end. Louisa is sent to a lavish Mexican resort for a marketing project, and though she works hard, she is looking for some relaxation and enjoyment as well on this trip. But then she finds out that Ed is also sent on the same project to assist her as the photographer, and she can't believe her bad luck. From what she's seen, Ed is nothing but a divorced womanizer who likes to party a little too much. But while in a new environment, working alongside him, she begins to see a completely different side of him, and if she's honest, a side that she really likes. An attraction develops and she realizes she may have been a bit too harsh when judging him.
This was the perfect book to enjoy on a lazy day, on the beach or just in a comfy spot at home with your favorite beverage. An easy read for a fun escape!

This book was a good beach read but I wanted more from it. Brother's best friend is one of my favorite tropes but this one fell a little short for me. The setting of Mexico definitely helped me get in a summer mood. Unfortunately, the setting didn't help much with the plot.

All's Fair in Love and Tequila is the ideal beach read, and it made me want to book a flight to Mexico!

Luisa is a realistic character who works very hard at her job for little recognition, so it's absolutely understandable that she chooses to have fun and explore. Ed is a great guy. He is amusing, thoughtful, and environmentally conscious. He is an amazing photographer who enjoys nature.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. Gabriella Margo's writing is fast-paced and easy to read. She doesn't go into great detail about the character's thoughts or actions.

This was my first book by Gabriella Margo and it was great. The title is also adorable and extremely catchy. Now I just wish I was on a Mexico beach sipping a cocktail. The vibes were great and the romance was even better. Luisa and Ed were a steamy couple and I must admit I'm always a fan of the brothers best friend trope. It's a good one!

This is an summer escape gateaway trip to Mexico along with your brother's best friend story for the heroine.. just imagine being on a week long business trip with someone you judged bad already only to find out that he's 180 degree different that the assumptions in your head? While the attraction and the tension is getting hotter and hotter? I enjoyed mostly about 65% of this story, it has potential and had a good build up in forming the relationship between the two main characters. I love their exploration of Mexico and their stolen moments, and of course I really enjoyed the scene when they're together [for more].

What can I say about the character is... Ed is a perfect book boyfriend, except for the silent treatment part, though I knew he's not good at communicating via phone/text, and he's an understanding, attentive, and not a pushy type which is great! But his silent confused me. Also, I knew how protective Luisa is to his brother, but her overprotectiveness and her stubbornness to deny all the feelings she has for Ed--and her guilt to his brother which is only in her head makes me a little frustrated because those parts are too long to my liking,. I love their banter and interactions, though! and how Ed valued and really care about the environment and his surrounding!

Overall, this has been a nice read for me, 3.5/5!

Gabriella Margo's writing is fast paced and easy to read. She doesn't over explain the character's thoughts or behaviors. She has that touch of delivering the perfect story!

The cover is stunning and makes me want to book a trip stat!

Luisa works as copywriter in Australia and her boss has decided to send her to Mexico to write the website verbiage for a new all-inclusive resort. The only downfall is she has to go with Ed, her brother's best friend, and Luisa sincerely despises him. Over the course of their time at the resort, Luisa learns that her presumptions about Ed are all wrong. He's the exact opposite. Can Luisa fight the temptation of falling for her brother's best friend, or does she take a chance for a once in a lifetime relationship.

Sadly this was not for me and I DNFd the book at 53%. Despite offering a pleasant premise of a summer romance between Luisa and her brother’s best friend, Ed, this book left me wanting more in terms of the plot. Half of the time Luisa is judging Ed for what happened in his marriage without knowing any details, and the other half of the time she’s lusting after him on their Mexico trip. There’s also a lot of dialogue with “um” in it which bothered me, as well as Ed ending his sentences with “hey” - which Luisa found cute - but maybe that’s an Australian thing.

It was a cute story to read but not really too enjoyable for me, I wish there was a bit more to it, it was a short lived book which isn't the problem but things just didn't feel put.

This is a fun book about Luisa who recognizes that comparing herself to others doesn't necessarily mean she gets what she wants and deserves. As Ed says, who holds the ribbon at the end of the race? Their sexualized tension is sky high and the book certainly outlines it explicitly. However, they both get what they need and deserve as they go way beyond what they thought they wanted, not what they perceived the characteristics they thought were required of the person they deserved. A lighthearted read.

Once in sunny Mexico, delicious food, and fun places to tour with Ed, she finds out just how kind and considerate he is. She really likes him but doesn’t believe she can have him since her brother needs their friendship. Ed has had a crush on Luisa since high school and it is tempting to take the friendship to another level.
I really liked this book. The setting was done very well. I could hear the waves, feel the sand, and enjoy what a beach resort has to offer. Insecurities abound and Ed helped Luisa think about the life ahead of her. I loved how Ed could take the stiff Luisa and get her to relax and smile. Their blossoming relationship was fun to watch. I liked how attentive Ed was when Luisa needed help. There is a lot of humor and love in this book.

The pacing of this book was amazing. There wasn't a second of it where I thought it needed to be faster or slowed down any.

The only issue I had was just with the kindle version. The way that it was structured on kindle was a little weird and I didn't like it. But the book itself was amazing.

10 out of 10 would recommend.

If you liked The Unhoneymooners, you'll enjoy this read. Luisa and Ed and adorable and their enemies to lovers banter is top notch for this tropical read. As the weather cools and I try to cling onto the last bit of summer this was a perfect read. This is the first book of Gabriella Margo's that I've read and it was delightful.

This was such a cute quick read that I wish I was on the beach somewhere drinking a nice fruity cocktail and reading it. It was very sweet and I loved it

Louisa is a copywriter with a grumpy boss who constantly puts her down; so no one is more shocked than Louisa when her boss sends her to an all inclusive resort in Mexico for a week to experience the resort first hand before building the website for the company. That isn't the only surprise in store for Louisa, instead of sending a staff photographer, her boss hires free lance photographer Ed to accompany Louisa on the trip. Ed is the exact opposite of Louisa, he is a free spirited nomad. Oh, and he is also her brother's best friend.

This book had a great story line. The holiday in Mexico was a great setting for any trope, especially opposites attract.

It was easy to fall in love with Ed from the start. He is funny, considerate, and very environmentally conscious. Louisa was a good MC but not my favorite. The book started off really strong but Louisa's back and forth got a little repetitive after the halfway point of the book.

I am knocking this book a star because I did not love the last quarter of it. I felt that Louisa spent a little too much time chasing after Ed. And given the great chemistry the characters build on the entire first two-thirds of the book, I felt that the resolution at the end fell a bit flat.

However, this was still a really cute read.

Luisa and her brother’s best friend Ed are forced to work together in a hotel in Mexico and Luisa is not happy about it. Although she originally despises him, she starts to feel an attraction towards him as they get to know each other. The story did start off a bit slow and Luisa was so rude to Ed and then her feelings towards Ed changed so quickly. It was a bit unnatural but I did enjoy the second half of the book a lot more. This book has grumpy sunshine but the guy is sunshine and the girl is grumpy which I haven’t read much of. It was fun to see a different dynamic. This book would be a great summer read.
