A rock star romance. A burned-out rock star returns home to provide a better environment for his son and sees his first real love....

It's an emotional read. Great chemistry between the leads. Lennon and King are both wonderful and complicated characters. I love how they still have a real connection even after all the years apart. Terrific ending.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Overall rating 3.5 rounded to a 4.
This is a second chance romance about Lennon and King. They dated secretly before King disappeared and severed communication with Lennon.
King is thrust in to parenthood and wants to provide stability for his son. He returns home and runs into Lennon. They soon work on their former friendship and old feelings come back to the surface.
What I loved
I loved Lennon’s character progression. She was a young unsure woman who just graduated and developed into a strong woman ,a teacher, who knows her worth.
What I didn’t like
Lennon’s Father was obnoxious and the judge having King pulled over and arrested was just too much. It is a storyline that is used a lot when a character is in the justice system. I wish it was something else.
Other than that the book was really good.
