Big thanks to Marlene Perez, NetGalley, and the Publisher for this ARC! All opinions going forward are my own.

I am a huge fan of the Tansy Mariotti series, so when the opportunity to get an ARC of the final book appeared, I couldn’t resist! I’ve been dying to find out what happens next since the end of the second book.

After the events of “I’m With the Banned”, we find Tansy and the crew on the road to Vegas to hunt down Vanessa and the compelled Mr. Sheridan. Of course, this isn’t going to be easy. They’re staying at the hotel belonging to Tansy’s recently revealed father: Mason Alicante. It’s a full on family reunion when he appears, hoping to learn about the daughter he never knew, while helping her stop her own mother. Throw in her vampire nemesis and his band mates, and off they go.

The chase begins as Vanessa begins her plans, involving an old tiara, a ton of feral vampires, and of course, the ruby that is currently in Tansy’s possession. It doesn’t help that Tansy is beginning to lose her witch powers as her vampire side tries to take over.

The final battle looms, and Tansy has to do everything in her power to stop the Executioner, even if it means hurting her her own mother. All the while trying to resist the change her body is experiencing.

I could gush about this series and book all day, but I’ll say this: Perez did such a fantastic job of not only ending the series in a way I didn’t expect (in the best way), she also wrapped up a few loose ends in a way that makes the series feel truly finished.

The insane and wonderful character development of Tansy and the others over three books was well done, and by the end they felt fleshed out and real. Of course, I wish we could get more adventures of Tansy and the gang, but as a trilogy, the series does a great job of telling a solid story that you’ll want to see through to the end.

Marlene Perez's A Sucker for You is the third and final installment in the authors Afterlife trilogy. The story actually picks up where I'm With the Banned finished. 17-year-old Tansy Mariotti is a witch/vampire hybrid called Striga Vie. She's also known as the Queen of the Vampires. But Tansy has a whole lot of issues coming her way. The first begins with a trip to Las Vegas with her boy friend Vaughn, his pack of werewolves, along with Tansy's best friend Skylar who really is the cause of her becoming a hybrid.

All she wants is to find her mother, Vanessa and Mr. Sheridan who is Vaughn's father and maybe spend a little alone time with her boyfriend. Tansy's 1/2 sisters, Rose and Thorn who are hunters she's just recently met, have chosen to come along since they were raised in Vegas. On top of all this is the fact that someone sent Tansy a precious stone (ruby) that her mother aka The Executioner wants and is willing to kill her only daughter for. If that weren't enough!

Tansy learns that her dead beat dad, Mason Alicante, has known she was alive this entire time. And now, she learns that he's in charge of the Paranormal Activities Committee (PAC) who trained Rose and Thorn to follow in his footsteps. Tansy's own challenges are nothing to sneeze about. Even though her Granny has tried hard to create a tonic that holds the vampire graving from taking over her witch side, it's getting harder and harder to control her thirst. So, with everything that Tansy and her friends face, it's the issues with her mother which are the most dangerous.

Vanessa will do anything to get the ruby from Tansy, including targeting Tansy's friends, her father, her sister, while looking for a powerful tiara said to belong to a women who is said to have bathed in the blood of her victims. Respect goes out to Vaughn for not running away as fast as he could after he learns that he now is the boyfriend of a vampire Queen, all the while struggling to gain control over his own new abilities to shift into a werewolf. Tansy's father gets no love from me, even though he clearly knew she was alive, he could have have warned her about who Vanessa really was, and what she was going to deal with now that she was a vampire/witch hybrid with people eager to take her down.

This book has been pitched for those who have read Crave, Twilight, Legacies, and, The Vampire Diaries. I do absolutely recommend that the book be read as it was released so that you don't spoil anything that happened in previous books.

The way Perez was tied everything up and the plot really shows off her writing skills, and she kept me hooked and wanting more.

A fun, exciting and werid story.

I'm one of those I hate reading out of order.
Sadly, I have not read book one or two but after reading this one I'm definitely getting the first two in this series.

This is a compelling five-star read. This is number three in the Afterlife series, and in my opinion its not the strongest of the three, but I still loved it, do read them in order as they each build and tell us a different part of the story, adding layer upon layer of drama and passion. There is something about Tansy that just warms me up, she just has this lovely quality to her, even though she is now a queen, you could still imagine grabbing a bowl of popcorn and popping a movie on to chill with, or serving fancy dishes alongside, she is just one of those people. It does feel like this maybe the end, as everything kind of concludes, but I am hoping it won’t be the last, as I adore these characters and would love to hear so much more of their lives and what they will do next. I did get a little annoyed about a couple of things, it was like on one page someone says they are going on holiday but delayed for this one thing, then you see them at work, the next day and no mention of the holiday, and another clanger, but there were so many other parts that swept me up and just kept me wrapped into the story. You do need to suspend your reality, but its teenage vampires, werewolves and striga vie so you kind of do that when you start, this is a great series and I am so excited to see what this author will bring up next.

This was so fun to read! Such a clever story with so many different types of monsters in it. I wish I had read the first two to have a better understanding, but now I definitely will!
