Alpha Male is an incredible anthology that compiles a collection of shifter stories, all with satisfying happy endings. With familiar authors like Sam Crescent, Stacey Espino, and Lila Fox, as well as new-to-me authors like Raven Hush and Helen Walton, this anthology was a delightful surprise. Each story within the pages of this book offers unique characters, strong alpha males, and steamy romances that will keep readers hooked from start to finish.

I have to admit, this is the first anthology where I genuinely looked forward to reading every single story. There was not a single dull moment or weak entry in the entire collection. I would like to briefly touch on a few of the stories in this review.

"Fray" by Raven Rush kicks off the anthology with a bang. This shifter story introduces readers to new kinds of animals and sets the tone for the rest of the book. It is an exciting and worthy story to start the anthology.

Jade Marshal's "Unlikely Mates" is a refreshing enemies-to-lovers tale that keeps readers longing for more. The perspective in which the story is presented adds an extra layer of intrigue, making it difficult to put down.

Lily Harlem's "Dragons Don't Share" takes readers to a modern-day setting with dragon shifters, a concept I found a bit challenging to wrap my head around at first. However, the compelling storyline made it worthwhile and left me eager for more dragon shifter tales.

Beth D Carter's "Return of the Alpha" is another standout, showcasing great storytelling, a solid plot, and wonderful characters. The vulnerability of the protagonist and the unfolding love story are incredibly well-crafted. It also hints at potentially captivating stories featuring other characters in the future.

"His Curvy Mate" by Sam Crescent and Stacey Espino stands out for its steamy and sensual scenes. The descriptions in this story are enough to make readers moan with pleasure, and the dynamic between the vulnerable heroine and the take-charge alpha is intoxicating.

Winter Sloan's "Forsaken Omega" is a page-turner with anticipation building from the beginning. The reveal of the hero is masterfully executed, keeping readers engaged and eager to flip through the pages until the end.

"Belonging" by Rose Wulf surprises readers with unexpected twists, utilizing suspense to maintain interest and keep the storyline compelling. It was a truly enjoyable read.

In "Wild Hearts" by Faedra Rose, the author takes a different approach to paranormal romance, providing a unique and intricate story that may take a moment to settle into. Once readers understand the nuances and intricacies, they will find themselves immersed in a captivating tale.

"Alpha's Private Dancer" by Cooper McKenzie offers a sweet and fast-paced story, complete with steamy moments that ignite the pages. The author's ability to create an engaging and interesting story is evident throughout.

"Just His Luck" by Kait Gamble adds a touch of suspense to the anthology, featuring an unlikely pairing and a love story that is both captivating and satisfying.

Overall, Alpha Male is a remarkable anthology that will leave paranormal romance lovers yearning for more. With a diverse range of shifters, including bears, dragons, and wolves, as well as elements of spice, tension, action, and soulmates, there is something for everyone within these pages. I discovered several stories and authors that I enjoyed, and I highly recommend this collection to lovers of the genre.

I received a free copy of this book via Evernight, and I am voluntarily leaving this review. The anthology is so good that it deserves an audio version. The cover initially caught my attention, but the captivating content kept me flipping through the pages. An audio version of this collection would provide an even more immersive experience, and I hope it becomes a reality in the future.

My Gosh! Over a dozen writers from multiple genres all around raunchy romance! There really needs to be an #audio version. The cover is what got me to be honest.. The content kept me flipping them pages though. I hope they will do an audio version of this collection of stories. It was long but I would sure audiobook it for a more immersive feel.

The book is filled with amazing shifter stories and they were one by one amazing. There were a few shifter stories I did not expect, but they ended up being my favourites. I would definitely recommend reading them. One story a night ~

Anthologies are so hard to write reviews for. I enjoy them because they give me access to a variety of authors I might not have read yet in a genre I enjoy and gives me a feel for their overall style.

That being said they almost always get an average rating from me because I find there are some stories I like, some are just ok, and some I don’t care for.

I know may people take the time to rate each story individually and while that is nice to call out the stories that people like. I don’t really think it is fair since what I am reviewing is the anthology as a whole.

That being said the overall anthology was solid. There were a couple slow moments throughout where I wasn’t as into the story, or where the pacing of the stories didn’t work for me. The editor brought in some solid variety for the most part in that they were defiantly not all wolf shifters and some authors even did some non-traditional world building. I am glad I held on to the end because I think the last story was one of my favorites.

This was a nice mix of shifter romances. There was definitely something for everyone with the level of steam ranging from story to story. For me, the strongest offerings came from Sam Crescent and Beth D. Carter.

This novel had everything shifter fans love! I could not stop reading this book, and was wanting more after reading it.

I love novellas and I love shifters so this was absolutely perfect. I didn’t dislike any of the stories and loved the varieties of types of shifters in this book. Not that there’s anything wrong with wolves and dragons, because I love them, but it was refreshing to see panthers, eagles and others that weren’t typical. This was actually my first anthology and I found a lot of new to me authors I will definitely be following. I will be posting a more in depth review on goodreads, but average 4.5 stars for the collection.

I loved this collection of stories so much! Not only did it give me an insight into different worlds and characters but it was super sexy and super spicy. I ended up reading a story or two in-between other books and it was the perfect sexy break! This collection also opened my eyes to new authors and their styles, that I will be checking out! Wow, super sexy and hot! There are a lot of great stories in this collection. And honestly they are all really great. Of course everyone will have a few favorites that stand out, but they are all really good. Definitely won’t be disappointed.

Very fun collection of stories from various authors. Covers a lot of different tropes. If you love some sifter romance you definitely need to pick up this collection.

If you’re a fan of shifter romance, do I have a collection for you! Alpha Male features 13 shifter romances, and they’re all solid novella-length stories. You can find almost any type of shifter story in this collection: characters who’ve known one another all their lives, characters who’ve just met, shifter-human romances, shifter-shifter romances, and more.

There’s also a nice variety in tone with these stories. Some are light with a small-town feel; others are apocalyptic, with fear of what might arise at every turn. I really enjoyed Beth D. Carter’s and Sarah Marsh’s stories, while Sam Crescent and Stacey Espino’s novella highlights their love of writing about curvy women finding their loves. And I was delighted that Lila Fox featured a dragon shifter instead of the typical wolf or bear. But there’s enough variety in Alpha Male for you to find several romances you might like, and at less than 5 USD, it’s a bargain for this many stories.

So take advantage of this great collection if you’re in the mood for paranormal shifter romance. There’s bound to be something in Alpha Male that you’ll enjoy!

Typically I'm not interested in books with the "alpha male" or "shifter" trope, but I've become more interested in exploring different genres, and wanted to give this one a fair shot! I figured a book with a ton of different authors and stories would be the best way to go about that. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself thoroughly engaged with this book!

Each story has it's own tone, it's own shifters (a quokka?!), and it's own "feel." The world building and tension in each story kept me turning the pages, and the characters were all fairly relatable on some level. The female characters weren't helpless save-me types that I expect when I read "alpha male" and the authors did a fantastic job of putting together a gripping anthology!

A fantastic range of stories to satisfy all of your desires. One of the things I particularly liked about this selection was their length- long enough to really get into, and enjoy the story. Dark, sexy and primal, there's something in here for everyone.

Many great stories in this book. Couldn't put it down. 5 star book.
Might reread it next year. Highly recommend it.

A few good novellas inside this. Its a good read if you ever in a reading slump and just want some quick romances to read.

Started out well, but I have to say that I felt their were to many stories. I like shifter romances but to get this many into 1 book it became repetitive. If you like shifters and lots of sexual scenarios this is the book for you!

A bunch of short hot stories about shifters. This book is one I would love to have if I was stuck at a place I would get interrupted at. It was entertaining and kept you wanting more.
