I have read all the books in this series, Guardians of Eternity, and Ms. Ivy's books rarely miss the mark. Again Levert is somehow embroiled in some mes and poor Styx is tasked with finding him. Ryshi is a consummate thief and knows how to get into places that most people do not. He is tasked in finding the gargoyle and he does not do it alone. Sophie is partnered with him and together they learn to depend on each other which leads to them being together.

Another great story in this series. I love seeing all the new characters and how they interact and match with familiar faces. Loved spending time with Levet again.

Great writing!

I absolutely love Alexandra Ivy and Sate The Darkness is a perfect example of why! Her world building is top notch and her characters are amazing. Another great book!!!

Unfortunately I've been sick and lost a dear family member so the review got lost in the shuffle of life. Alexandra Ivy as always drags me away from my world and places me hers and the last few months her books including this one did that for me. Her stories are interesting, intriguing, suspenseful and humorous. You just can't go wrong with any of her books. Once again a fulfilling and great read.

How can this series still manage to surprise me, 20 books in? This combination of characters and setting were definitely not what I was expecting at all.

Sofie and Ryshi’s romance is definitely not standard. Ryshi was captured by the head vampire in charge when he was caught snooping around his house. How does one capture a half-jinn? Well, luckily there is a vampire with the powers to capture him in the form of Sofie. Sofie has committed to a life of self-imposed exile after her powers ended up making her a risk to others. Unfortunately, when the leader of the vampires says you need to escort a half-jinn into the famed labyrinth of the Minotaurs, you go.

Ryshi has been playing a long game. He could escape the prison he’s in at anytime but he isn’t done searching for his treasure yet. Said treasure also includes a vampire who captivated him. It’s on the journey together that they both uncover a deeper connection. Why are they on this trip? Well, of course it relates to Levet, unofficial god of mischief. He’s been taken and the combination powerhouse of Hades and Levet’s aunt force the vampire leader’s hands in the matter. If you’re joining the series this far in, just go with it. Either way, we get a sizzling romance, some fun adventure, and a really interesting world to explore all in one book!

I really enjoyed this book, just like all of the others in this series. I love the characters and always enjoy reading about their latest adventures.

Levet has been taken by the minotaur’s and as much as Styx would like to leave him where he is he has Bertha on his property, and she won’t leave without help. He also knows his wife would not be please if anything happened to the three-foot gargoyle, so he has one option release Ryshi and have Sophie go with him to bring Levet home.
Another great addition to the series and one I recommend.

What a thrilling ride! This book came out of the gate running and never stopped! I really enjoyed reading Ryshi and Sofie’s story! And of course Levet is bound to show up at some point!

Sofie is trying to find and rescue Levet and Ryshi is looking for his sister. He is half jinn and half imp and she is a vampire. Strange bedfellows…but maybe not! They are attracted to each other but Sofie is afraid he won’t want to be with her if he knows her power – one she didn’t ask for and really doesn’t want! But surprisingly it doesn’t matter to him. She is his mate.

They go on a roller coaster of a ride trying to find and rescue Levet…the gargoyle that always seems to find trouble. They end up in the minotaur labyrinth, one that Ryshi has been in before and came out alive…but there’s a power hungry minotaur who is basically smothering his people. They kidnap Levet thinking he’s a god and will help them. Then Inga, the Queen of the Merfolk, Gaia, a very ticked off god, and finally Ryshi and Sofie show up and things heat up!

Gaia sends everyone back to where they belong, takes out the trash (the power hungry minotaur) and sets the labyrinth world back the way she made it. Ryshi finds his sister and he and Sofie head off to continue the consummation of their mating. A very good ending for this book.

I always enjoy anything that Alexandra Ivy writes and this book is no exception! From start to finish, I was hooked. Another winner!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I am always looking for the next book in this series and have not been disappointed yet!

Instead of being the hero, Levet is in trouble and needs rescuing from the Minotaurs in their labyrinth. Sofie has been tasked to keep an eye on Ryshi, the only being who has escaped from the labyrinth, so that they can rescue Levet.

I loved watching Sofie, a vampire, and Ryshi, half jinn, half imp, as they both start out distrusting each other and holding secrets. As they have to start trusting each other, they have no choice but to rely on the other person for their lives.

Great HEA and loved that Levet finally made it to the mermaid kingdom at the end. Can't wait for the next book!

As usual another great addition to this series. I really enjoyed how the two plots entwined to create a great story. In true Levet fashion he again saved the day. Sofie and Ryshi make an interesting pair. I really enjoyed their adventure, and the chemistry was sweet and passionate. I thought this was a pretty quick read and loved every second of it.

Ivy once again delivers an enjoyable story filled with delightful interesting characters, adventure, humor and romance. While this the 20th installment of the series, it would work well as a stand alone novel and introduction to her world filled with a variety of immortal creatures. Jinn/imp mix Ryshi is sent, along with vampire Sofie as guard, on a search (and possible rescue) mission for the infamous gargoyle Levet who's been taken by the mysterious minotaurs based upon a seer's prediction. Intrigue, romance and danger all help keep the pages turning while rooting for the HEA to win in the end.

Sate the Darkness is book 20 in the Guardians of Eternity series and like most long running series you love some and some are misses. Unfortunately for me this book was a miss. Levet once again finds himself in trouble, he was kidnapped by Minotaur's and while Styx would like nothing more than to be rid of the little pest, he knows his mate would be heartbroken if he doesn't find a way to get him back. Ryshi is a half-jinn, half-imp who has been imprisoned by Styx for the past decade for sneaking into the Lairs of different vampires. Ryshi is the only one who has been known to enter the Labyrinth and escape so Styx makes a deal with him in exchange for finding Levet. Since Ryshi is a thief, he isn't trusted to go by himself, so Sophie is tasked to go with him. Sophie is a vampire who enjoys her solitude and is responsible for imprisoning Ryshi because she is able to take control of the minds of others. While I enjoyed Ryshi and Sophie together and loved what a great team they made the different points of view once again disturbs the flow of the story and the connection between who is the main couple. We had the story of Levet and why the Minotaurs wanted him, his Aunt Berther and Hades and then Ryshi and Sophie. At times I felt more interested in Berther and Hades. Overall, not my favorite but as a longtime fan I do look forward to more books in this series.

If you want laughter, intriguing paranormal beings of many varieties with some straight out of mythology, a romance that is slow but very satisfying, danger and intrigue, and a number of surprises then grab SATE THE DARKNESS and enjoy.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, steamy, action packed and I couldn't put it down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book 20 in the Guardians of Eternity series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.

Usually when a series has been going as long as this one has, you worry that maybe, just maybe, that it's going to be the same story just told a different way. I am happy to say-this story isn't it! I still love this series just as much today as I did when I first started reading it!

In this one, we get Sophie and Ryshi's story. Sophie is a vampire that keeps to herself, but when the Anasso gives you a mission, you don't say no. And he needs her to keep Ryshi on task and doing what needs to be done. Ryshi has been a prisoner of the Anasso for a while, but when he is tasked with a mission to find a certain gargoyle (and take a vampire that he is curious about with him)-he knows that it may be his chance for freedom. Or information. All while getting out alive and rescuing Levet at the same time.

I really enjoyed this story. There was the laughter and action I always expect when it comes to this author, along with a great story that kept me involved and wanting to know more. I loved the characters of Sophie and Ryshi and their own backstory and how they come to be in their current lives. I loved the introduction of the Minotaur's and their world, along with how it all came about. The only thing that I wish, and it could be an upcoming book, is that there is a conclusion or love story for Levet's Aunt! That relationship between her and a certain someone has me completely intrigued! All in all, another great read in this series!!

Alexandra Ivy began the Guardians of Eternity series in 2007. It has managed to stay strong, interesting and unique even up to book twenty, Sate the Darkness. New characters, old favorites and a minotaur labyrinth rescue to perform. Ryshi, half-jinn, half-imp, is the charmer in the story while also being the one with questionable skills but needed skills. Sofie is the straight shooter who avoids others because of her mind controlling skills. Together they must free Levet from the minotaur labyrinth.

Much to like in this story such as the direction of the overall plot, the balance between suspense and romance, and a wiser more mature Levet. Never saw that coming but like it. Overall, most could read this as without having read the past books. BUT why would you do that? It is a series worth reading from the first to the twentieth.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sate the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy is the 20th book in the Guardians of Eternity Series. In this book, Levet (a great, favorite character) is captured by the Minotaurs to fulfill a prophecy. It is never what you expect when Levet is involved.

Since Levet is beloved by the women in the series, it is imperative that he is found. There is only one person who could find his way into the minotaur territory, Rhyshi who is half jinn and half imp. He is in Styx’s prison because he is a thief who has entered many vampire homes.

Styx asks Sofie who can control others with her mind to accompany Rhyshi to rescue Levet. It was interesting to watch as their many and interesting adventures bring them closer together.

There is a lot going on in this book. The labyrinth which leads to the entrance of the minotaur territory requires cunning intelligence and a sharp wit which Rhyshi seems to have. There are many interesting twists and turns in the labyrinth. Then, there are the many characters such as Aunt Bertha who practically destroys Styx’s gardens and her beau (You would not believe who that is.)

Sate the Darkness is a fun, fast moving, romantic page turner. It is a great addition to the series and I loved it.

Levet is in trouble (again). I sear this mini Gargoyle should be wrapped in bubble wrap and stored somewhere for his own safety!

Minotaurs are almost a legend but they've popped up on the Anasso's lawn and kidnapped Levet for fulfil a prophecy. Unfortunately for the Styx, his mate and various others are rather fond of the knight in shining armour that Levet believes himself to be. The appearance of a huge, annoyed, Aunt Bertha spurs him on. The only man for the job is a half jinn/half imp super thief but he's currently in the dungeon and not exactly trustworthy. So, Styx has no option but to call upon a vampire, who can hold creatures minds within her reach, who'd rather hide out in the mountain than be around people.

Ryshi and Sofie have a history and neither of them are happy to have the other along for the ride. But somewhere within the fabled Labyrinth they start to fall for each other. Ryshi has met someone who can make him stay put and Sofie finds someone who doesn't want to make her instantly flee to solitude.

I love meeting all my favourite recurrent characters. The stories flow in and out of each other - no one couples story just ends when their book is over. We still get to see our favourites and root for them to finally get a book of their own. Bertha and a certain god would be hilarious and I'm really hoping for Inga to put Levet out of his misery eventually!

It took me a bit to get into this book but when I did, I enjoyed the friendship turn romance of Sophie and Ryshi. Both carried emotional baggage and felt alone. Each had gifts that would enable them to rescue a beloved gargoyle. They work together and learn to rely on each other physically and emotionally. I read this on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
