📚⛔ MY REVIEW 📚⛔
This is my first time ever reading a Love Inspired Suspense book. This well written story has good character development and a twisting, dark plot that touches on child trafficking ,missing children and murder. The very first chapter starts off with BANG. From there the story does not slow down until the very last word. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I had to know just what happened to this child and why. All while holding my breath she would be found alive. I was so glued to the pages that i tuned out the world and read it in just a few hours. This had to be a very difficult subject to write about and will be hard for some to read about . Sadly this is something that happens everyday in this messed up world we live in. I am looking forward to reading more of her books.

Kidnapped in Texas by Virginia Vaughan is the first book in her new romantic suspense series, Cowboy Protectors, from Love Inspired Suspense.
This book had me hooked from the very first chapter, which ended in an incredible surprise. A surprise that informed all the underlying tension within the entire book, making it a page-turner I couldn’t put down. Plus I loved the main characters and their romance.
If you enjoy romantic suspense, then definitely grab a copy of Kidnapped in Texas. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

WOW! This was a really good, fast paced suspense from beginning to end. I have read other books by this author and I like that they are clean suspense with great characters and story lines.
This story does involve human trafficking which is always hard to read about it since it doesn't end well. The author does a good job with not getting specific with trafficking and there's lots of suspense and twists I wasn't expecting. I read it in one day because I couldn't put it down! Highly recommend!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Luke and Abby witness a kidnapping and on a mission to get her back. Especially since Luke finds out that the teenager was their daughter. They both work together in getting the child from the human trafficking ring, while also trying to figure out where to go to next about their relationship.
This was a pretty fast paced read, I was pretty much enjoying it that I had a hard time putting it down. I thought it was interesting seeing how they worked on figuring out where the daughter was. I mean Luke was a FBI agent working on the case so he had the law on his side and ways to talk to suspects and Abby on the other hand didn't have those advantages. She did her own sleuthing looking though post and making connections and seeing where her own leads were taking her even if it put her in dangers way she would do everything she could to make sure to get her child back. I loved watching how everything progressing and the twists and turns that were thrown in the way. Overall really enjoyable book

This is an exciting story from the very beginning. The kidnapping sets off a life changer for Luke and Abby. They have to find their daughter and come to grips with their feelings for each other. Luke has to overcome his feelings of anger that Abby never told him he had a daughter. I found Abby's reasoning that she never told Luke to be self-centered. It appeared that she finally grew up and accepted responsibility for her actions. Overall, the story was good with lots of actions.
I recommend this to all who enjoy a good mystery.
I received this book from Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense Via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
The story opens with Abby watching her niece get kidnapped and as she tries to chase the car down, she runs into her old boyfriend, Luke Harmon who is now an FBI agent. Abby and Luke dated in high school and then broke up for reasons unknown to Luke. Luke did not know that they had a daughter and in order to meet her, he has to solve the case and find her. The story never stops from that moment as they uncover a human trafficking ring and try to solve it together. They also have to deal with the feelings of being together again and figure out if they can forgive each other and try again at a relationship or if things are too far gone for the two of them. Also, will they find her niece (who is actually her daughter) before something bad happens? Will their faith be strengthened through the hardships or will this break them?
This is a Second Chance Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Cowboy Protectors series. I really got into this story. The characters were really developed, and I enjoyed the second chance romance in this book. There was a ton of suspense, and I was living for the suspense and action in this book. I also enjoyed the setting in this book. This was a fast paced action packed second chance romantic suspense that I really enjoyed reading, and I did not want to put it down. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Virginia Vaughan) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
This was an entertaining, fast-paced read, drama, action packed, page turner, secrets, kidnapping, suspenseful, mystery, trafficking, great characters with a great plot that held me captive. This is my first time reading anything by Virginia Vaughan and I will be checking out more Virginia’s other books. Luke is an FBI agent and Abby is Luke’s ex-girlfriend. The two witness a kidnapping and the person kidnapped is Abby’s teenage niece Kenzie. As Abby and Luke are working together the two stumble upon a human trafficking ring. With more and more girls coming up missing they have got to get the girls back to their parents. Abby has a secret that she has been keeping from Luke.
Will Luke and Abby be able rescue Abby’s niece Kenzie and the others that have been kidnapped, who is behind the kidnapping, is there a chance for Luke and Abby to get a second chance at romance or will the secret that Abby is keeping destroy their chance?
I received an ARC via NetGalley HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada), Love Inspired Suspense and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
FBI Agent Luke Harmon is minding his own business when he unexpectedly witnesses a kidnapping of a young girl. This starts a roller coaster of more unexpected news which causes many issues.
Abby Mitchell has been raising her niece and nephew as her sister and brother in law were killed in a car accident. When her niece is kidnapped, Abby finds out maybe she made the wrong decision years before.
A wonderful second chance love inspired suspense novel I really enjoyed. The romance in the story was very sweet.
I don’t want to give too much away. Just know Kidnapped in Texas is a very suspenseful read. It is a clean wholesome read with a very surprising ending. Lots of action going on to keep you engaged.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Kidnapped in Texas by Virginia Vaughan gives readers action and excitement from the first page. Abby Mitchell watches a kidnapping happen right in front of her, and she teams up with Luke Harmon to track her niece down. Only Abby’s kept a big secret from Luke for years and Kenzie is more than just her niece.
I love the fast-paced nature of this story. The clock is ticking to find and rescue Kenzie from human traffickers, so the danger and suspense never lets up. I also love the chemistry between Abby and Luke. Abby has a lot to overcome to have Luke in her life again, and Luke has to overcome a lot of hurt to have a relationship with Abby. But because the stakes are so high in finding Kenzie they have to put the hurt aside to work together.
I highly recommend this story for readers that like fast action, relationship drama, secrets, and suspense.
I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This book has a pace faster than a speeding bullet and it kept me engaged from beginning to end. Beginning with the terrifying kidnapping of a young girl named Kenzie off the streets of a small town in Texas, this book deals with the difficult topic of human trafficking in a realistic and gut-wrenching way. Abby, Kenzie’s guardian and aunt, witnesses the kidnapping but can do nothing to stop it. Enlisting the assistance of FBI Agent Luke Harmon, her former boyfriend, Abby is determined to do whatever it takes to get Kenzie safely home again. The story of Luke and Abby’s former love and how they need to trust each other again is one that touched me deeply. Luke not only lost his love but he also lost his faith in God and needs to find his way back. I enjoyed the realistic portrayal of the characters and all of the feelings that I experienced as I read about them. I especially enjoyed the twists in the story and the way the author kept me guessing about the bad guys until the ultimate revelation at the end. I love a good mystery and this one fit that perfectly! I also liked how the fast pace continued throughout the book, as new details were added about the case and the predicament that Kenzie was in. Abby’s faith was important in the story but it does not overwhelm it; it’s just part of who she is and this makes her more realistic as well as admirable. Luke is a likable character, flawed and vulnerable but strong when the occasion demands it. He is a hero to emulate and a dynamically complex male protagonist. The fact that the book is a clean read in spite of the difficult topic it deals with was a bonus for me. The entire book was an enjoyable, quick read and I highly recommend it to all who enjoy suspense, romance and faith all mixed together to make a remarkably cohesive story.

Kidnapped in Texas is written by Virginia Vaughn. This is the first book in a new series that is entitled Cowboy Protectors. This was a suspenseful heart pounding read.
Abby is now the caretaker of her niece and nephew. Her sister and brother in law were killed in a car accident. Kenzie, her niece is abducted in broad day light from a coffee shop. Abby is terrified and won’t stop until she finds her. Even if that means trusting Luke. Her high school sweetheart, who is now an FBI agent.
Tensions run high between the former couple when Abby admits that she is Kenzie’s mother and she gave her up for adoption to her sister who couldn’t have kids. Luke is Kenzie’s father and is blindsided by the news. The case becomes more personal.
Details slowly start to emerge that those around Abby can’t be trusted. They soon find out that there’s a human trafficking ring that has been operating around the small town of Jessop. Someone wants to shut Abby up and stop her from trying to find Kenzie.
Abby relies heavily on her faith. It’s the only thing that is keeping her sane. Luke however had a rough childhood and has distanced himself from God. He doesn’t understand how Abby can still believe when Kenzie is missing.
The author has created a suspenseful adrenaline pounding adventure for her readers. I didn’t want the story to end.
Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me to read a copy or this book. All thoughts are my own.
"Kidnapped in Texas" by Virginia Vaughn was a great, easy to read mystery! The story was fast paced and very easy to get into. And I was totally surprised by the ending! I highly recommend this book if you enjoy good, clean, short mysteries.

This book is full of mystery, suspense, drama and of course romance. Abby Mitchell, can't believe her niece has been kidnapped right before her eyes, nor is she expecting her past to come crashing into her present. FBI agent Luke Harmon has found himself back home while on leave from the FBI. When he must put his past and present to the side to try and figure out who is kidnapping girls in this small town before it is to late to help them. He is not sure if he is capable. I loved this page turner and look forward to more. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
Another exciting book from Virginia Vaughan! I couldn't put it down until the end! So very good!
Twists and turns that are non stop and will leave you guessing who you think it is! Wow!
These characters will definitely make you think about them long after the story is finished.
I love how this author writes because I can "visualize " each scene as it takes place.
My favorite thing about this author is how she weaves faith into each situation a certain character might be facing at the time
Some great writing going on here. I love it!
5 stars for well rounded out characters and a great plot build up to boot!
I highly recommend!

Virginia Vaughan has written another fantastic romantic suspense. Fast paced edge of your seat plot. I recommend this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.
Kidnapped in Texas kicks off Ms. Vaughan’s new Cowboy Protectors series in a big way! There’s a lot going on in this story starting with a kidnapping that leads to life-changing revelations! The fast-paced, exciting plot with some cleverly crafted twists drew me in from the beginning and kept me guessing all the way to the reveal. The characters are realistic, and the author has a talent for tapping into their emotions. I love Abby and Luke as individuals and as a couple. Their second-chance romance unfolds sweetly despite their struggles to overcome trust issues and perceived betrayal. I especially appreciate the strong, encouraging faith thread that is woven into the story. Fans of inspirational suspense will not want to miss this one! I look forward to more exploits with Abby, Luke, Kenzie, and Dustin.

‘Where was God in all of this?’
Virginia Vaughan is quite good at inspirational suspense and in this one she tackles the kidnapping of young girls in a Texas town. She build her suspense up until the last, too. And I absolutely was totally shocked at the culprit! Put this one on your radar.
My thanks to Love Inspired for a copy of the book via Net Galley. The review opinion is my own.
I enjoyed reading Love Inspired suspense. As they give me all the suspense I want in a short book will a splash of romance. And even if they are stressful and twisty it's going to give me a happy ending.
