A fun romance, but a little slow paced for me. The fact this book was also a subsequent book in a series which took me out of the story a bit, and I'm not sure I would be interested to read any earlier instalments.
This is such a sweet, adorable, FUN and inspiring story
Must read for Romance lovers
We have main characters - Fiona and Mase, complete opposites but these two are good for each other
Fiona- quiet, shy, reserved, has panic attacks/anxiety and is the best friend of the engaged couple
Mase- famous baseball player, son of a billionaire, all around fun guy but is it all a front is he more than what people see
I love all the different book references and even a few from Pretty Woman, Fiona even says ...."straight from one of my romance novels"
So Fiona and Mase we introduced at their friends' engagement party in Las Vegas (which made a great setting for this story). Fiona already from the start didn't like Mase bc she thought she knew the type of guy he was based on his reputation and online presence.
Her friends are super protective of her also.
So she and Mase end up spending a ton of time together at the party and then also after when all their friends left and things def change for these 2.
This book is the 4th in the series (Suitor Science) and now bc i loved this one sooo much I need to go and check them all out from the beginning, can't wait to get the back stories of all the characters that you meet in this book. Also just a heads up this is def a book that you can read as a stand-alone.
I am sooo happy to have been able to read this ARC, thank u to the publisher and also to NetGalley for this opportunity. The above review is my own, honest and voluntary.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Fiona and Mase. They both are in Las Vegas because their best friends are having bachelor and bachelorette parties. There is an instant attraction. The first night they go dancing and close the bar down. They later go shopping, then Mase proposes and they get married. They try to keep it a secret till they leave but due to social media it gets out. They realize they love each other.
An irresistible slice of escapism and a joy to read. Compelling, absorbing and highly entertaining. Fast-moving and fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had no prior knowledge of this series. I chose to read it mostly because of the size of the book and the general reviews that were already present. I had a lot of fun with this book. Sometimes when I pick up books that are only about romance, some of the scenes and the speed of the changes tend to make me cringe. This book was less explicit than I expected (the story jumps forward without lingering), which is an excellent thing. The romance felt solid just because of how events stacked up, even if everything was rushed. The characters address the unlikeliness of the couple having a happily ever after, but that is well done as well.
This book delivers exactly what it promises with the blurb and the cover. We have two people who, at first glance, are poles apart. We have a billionaire who has few real friends in a very socially visible life. On the other end, our leading lady is exceptionally smart and works for the government but also has few close friends because of certain personal issues. The two end up spending a long night walking around, getting frank, and although being slightly drunk is a factor, it is not blown up to embarrassing levels.
The transition(from strangers all the way to a married couple) is simple, and the book does not reinvent any of the tropes but provides a well-written story in a digital age where very few people lead a completely private life.
I do not know if I would have liked the backstories of the other couples, the books that came before it, but I would recommend this to readers of this genre.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.
This was unfortunately a DNF for me… the whole first half of the book was simply one night in which the main couple gets married… by the time I got through that night to the next day I was completely disinterested.
Fiona and Mase are in Las Vegas to celebrate their best friend’s engagement. Fiona is a scientist and struggle to find love while her friends around her have found theirs. Mase is a billionaire playboy. Fiona dislike Mase for his reputation based on the scandal that she read from the tabloids. Things started to turn around when Mase showed his protectiveness over her at the engagement events. They spend the night away understanding each other and ended with them leaving the Elvis Wedding Chapel wearing wedding rings. They decide to keep it a secret as they don’t want their wedding spoilt their friend’s engagement weekend.
From the start of the book, I loved Mase and having him and Fiona as the main character feel like adding chaos instead of picture perfect into the story but it ended well. Love how Fiona took the step to confront Mase’s grandfather which really amazed me. Love how the dialogue was scripted too. Overall it is a sweet and heartwarming romance story to read.

A cute book that has a good storyline to it... I enjoyed it although I wished the ending was a little bit more detailed
A cute easy read book which allows escapism and immersion in a fun different world. I enjoyed this book and especially thought Mase was a really good character. I want to go and read the rest of the series even though it was a great as a standalone
This was a DNF for me. The story was too much for me to suspend disbelief. The characters were annoying. I do believe the story only covers a few days or weeks. No time to really get a read on the long-term viability of this relationship.
okay. what an interesting title lmao.
having no background of the previous books, i got confused with the context of some characters, but it was a great story overall. it starts with a classic polar opposite, mase, a billionaire playboy and fiona, a judgy that struggled to tolerate him because she had already formed an opinion of him. but she quickly discovered that she was completely mistaken. along with some of the conflict storyline lines, i think the key characters' backstories and development might have been further with. they briefly touch on both mase's background and fiona's past relationship and its toxicity. neither of these aspects of their backgrounds are fully developed. but i love them so much. they are endearing together, and the attraction develops fairly quickly but not unreasonably. recommended.
thank you to the author and victory editing netgalley co-op for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the fourth installment of Ms. Kerr's Suitor Science series. Although I have not had the opportunity to read all the books thus far, I had no trouble reading as a standalone, and found this to be a delightful and fun read. It is a clean and perfectly hilarious story with wonderful and endearing characters. Mase and Fiona were such a great pair and it was simply swoon-worthy how he looked out for her and took care of her during her panic attack at their mutual friend's engagement celebration. Fiona begins to realize that her impression of Mase as being nothing but a shallow, billionaire playboy was not entirely accurate and he is in fact a kind sweet, and caring person and oh so easy to fall for. Their newfound relationship is not free of challenges and hurdles and Fiona's happily ever after may be in jeopardy. Fiona is known for being shy and reserved but she just might surprise you when she finds her inner strength and becomes her own hero.
A lovely, entertaining read that I really enjoyed!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Thank you Victory Editing Co-op and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
THIS WAS A CUTE FUN READ. I REALLY LOVE MASE STIRLING I WANT ONE OF HIM PLEASE.
While I don’t really fancy the whole fast love kinda thing, but this book really makes me love it somehow??? I’m not really a fan of Fiona, but OH MASE. He was such a sweetheart. I don’t like everyone else in the book except his sister Riese. I absolutely dislike Bexley because she was annoying as hell. Selfish and self-centred. I don’t care if she was a good person in the previos book or whatever but she is NOT a good friend in this.
In the end, Fee was right. No one sees her except Mase. I’M GLAD THEY MARRIED EACH OTHER
A quick easy romance novel perfect to while away a rainy afternoon. Fiona and Masons story, which encourages you to believe in love at first sight and entices you to read the others in this series, to find out if Demi and Chrissy get their own HEA
Thanks NetGalley and Publisher for allowing me to read the e-ARC in exchange of an honest review!
I didn't expect anything from this book before, I only thought it'd be an instant attraction romance, but I was completely wrong!
This book is about a whole whirlwind secret-door fairy-tale like romance that got me swooned because of how ridiculous, funny, and (somehow) pure this love story is! It came from Fiona's prejudiced thought--which influenced by her friends==of Mase, his bestfiend's fiancee's billiionaire bestfriend who arranged a party for the whole weekend to celebrate their bestfriends' engagement. Mase was famous for being a billionaire heir, great baseball player, with a playboy reputation from media that Fiona's despise. Their circles of friends are not help either, because they trying to protect her from him. But when they're finally sit down and have a conversation all night long, peeling their every layers and masks they put for everyone as they began to get sees their true-selves the way no one ever did and feeling connected to each other on another level--they went crazy all night, not wanting this night to be over and ...... decided to get married!
This story has been funny and entertaining, from their cat and mouse game, to their silly shopping hours, and how they trying to make the married proceed through then keep it as a secret in front of their group of friends.
In this quick read, I got to see the development of both main characters' growth as they exploring their new sides of each other they didn't know they had it in them till they meet other--which is very cute and exciting! I love how strong Fiona character is when it comes to protect her loved ones and when she finally realizes her worth, also how attentive Mase actually is.
Though of course, it's unlikely relatable, but it's been a VERY entertaining and sweet book to reads. this book literally keeps me smiling all night long. I can't wait to read the whole Suitors series.
Overall rate: 4/5
Marrying the Billionaire Best Friend was such a sweet, fun, and charming read! It was fast paced and I couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with Mase and Fiona and was sad when the book was over. That’s how you know it’s a good book! I didn’t realize this was a series, and I definitely want to go back and read the others. It can be read as a standalone though! I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Holly Kerr!
Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review and opinion. This is a fun book with Mase and Fiona going from being at odds to married in one day. The aftermath was a whirlwind of crazy.
How on earth have I missed this Author and the previous 3 books in this series?!! Such a wonderful find. Thank you Netgalley
I absolutely loved every single page. Watching Fee blossom was really lovely. And Mase..MASE!! ❤️
I'm heading over to Amazon to start the series from the beginning. I just love this authors style. 5 super stars from me
When the book started I was a bit dubious, far too many names thrown at you in one chapter but going though the other chapters it all falls into line perfectly!
Fiona and Mace are very different people, but also alike I’m so many ways especially with their different insecurities. They come together and bring out the best in each other and it’s noticeable though out the book.
A wonderful romance. I enjoyed it immensely - there is nothing extra special about this book but it was wonderfully written, with great characters and a lovely ending.
