Blood and Thunder by Wren Michaels was a thrilling and captivating read. As someone new to the Thunderbird Brotherhood series, I was immediately drawn into the unique world of shapeshifters and their lore. While I did feel slightly at a disadvantage for not having read the first book, the author did a commendable job of allowing new readers to follow along fairly well.
The characters in this book were truly the highlight for me. Ev and Tag were particularly intriguing, their chemistry palpable from the moment they met. I also found myself becoming invested in Ember and Denali's relationship, as well as the enigmatic Zaxton. It's clear that there is much more to discover about his character, and I eagerly anticipate what the Great Spirits have in store for him.
One aspect of the book that I found particularly engrossing were the plot twists. The unexpected love triangle introduced a level of complexity that added depth to the story. Additionally, the concept of a death date kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. I found myself guessing and anticipating the outcome, making for a truly suspenseful and engaging read.
Overall, Blood and Thunder is a solid installment in the Thunderbird Brotherhood series. It will undoubtedly appeal to many readers, though I would highly recommend reading the first book beforehand to fully grasp the relationships and tensions within the story. I rate this book 4 stars out of 5, as it kept me thoroughly entertained and left me eager for more.
I just loved this story. I would recommend it. The author did a good job. The characters felt real just from the words.
Quick Summary: A supernatural, death date romance
My Review: Blood and Thunder by Wren Michaels was my first introduction to the Thunderbird Brotherhood series. It was engaging. Becoming familiar with all of the shapeshifters and their lore was a unique experience. While I was able to follow along fairly well, I felt a bit at a disadvantage. I think I may have benefited from reading book one beforehand. There were relationships and tensions that I wanted to better understand. Still, I can say that this was a solid read.
About the Characters: This book had numerous beings of interest. In terms of the standouts, I was most drawn to Ev and Tag, obviously. I was also interested in learning more about Ember and Denali, as well as Zaxton. Regarding Ember and Denali, there seemed to be an opposites attract situation brewing between them. Zaxton was an enigma. Surely, there has to be more in store for him. What he endured and sacrificed had to be purposed. Certainly, the Great Spirits have a special gift prepared for him.
Most Interesting Plot Twists: I was completely taken in by the unexpected love triangle. I never expected that. It was a gold star inclusion. The whole death date angle was genius. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. In truth, I wished it would have stretched longer. It had me guessing on the how and when of it, during my reading.
My Final Say: All in all, I can say that Blood and Thunder will appeal to many readers. I would recommend it. With that said, I would encourage other readers to read the first book in the installment.

I voluntarily reviewed this title via NetGalley. Appreciation is extended to the author and to the publisher, who provided access to this work in exchange for an honest review. The words I have shared are my own.
I really enjoyed this book. I did not realise it was a book two until I’d read a couple of chapters, however I got an understanding of what went on and will go back and read book one.
This book follows the story of Tag and Everleigh. Tag knows he is going to die but doesn’t know the how or when. He travels to Las Vegas after his family convince him to seek out a witch for help. Everleigh is no normal witch she has a Wolf half too. Upon meeting she soon realises that Tag is her mate before he realises.
I enjoyed the plot and felt it flowed nicely. The world building was great and I enjoyed the side characters. I felt they added to the story really well and I enjoyed all the family banter between the other mates.
It was a great book and I found it a quick and easy read.
I definitely recommend this book.

I received a copy of Blood and Thunder (Thunderbird Brotherhood, #2) by Wren Michaels from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This novel was okay, but I was not captivated and felt no connection to the characters or the plot. The summary seemed interesting, but the novel’s pacing was uneven and the characters were kind of boring. Just not my cup of tea.
