What a great story!! Morgan grew up as a military brat, she never had the chance to put down roots, always moving when her father received a new assignment. As an adult this is Morgan’s priority. She now has a house and her best friend is her roommate. After tragedy strikes, Morgan is forced to move in with her mother and grandmother. Unfortunately while Morgan is putting her life back together her past catch’s up. Will the people in Morgan’s new life be able to save her,? Will Morgan finally get to find true love and live happily ever after? Well, you will have to read the book to find out! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Traveling With T’s Thoughts:
I’ve only started reading Nora Roberts in the past few years, but cannot get enough of her romantic suspense.
What I Liked:
The cover! SO eye-catching!
The fact that a man was one of the voices of the book. Usually the ones I’ve read, the man is a side character- whether it’s a bad guy or the love interest. But I liked this angle. *There may be other books that she let a man have a voice in the chapters, essentially being a main character, that I am not aware of.*
Morgan. Strong. Determined. Gutsy. Ready to fight for her peace of mind. You go girl.
Bottom line: You really can’t go wrong with Nora Roberts. Be sure and grab this book.

I haven't read a Nora Roberts book in quite a while, and I was quickly reminded what a fantastic storyteller she is! Morgan is a hard worker taking on two jobs to get ahead. She hasn't taken the time to have a relationship, that is until a stranger comes into the bar she works at and starts showing an interest. He seems like a nice guy until her world starts to unravel and it all goes back to her association with him. Feeling as if she has no choice, she goes back home to live with her grandmother and mother. Unfortunately, her troubles catch up to her again. This time she has her family and her work family to help get her through. Plenty of twists and turns in this story right up to the end. Throw in some romance and you have a definite page turner! I received an ARC from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Sadly, I think whatever it was that drew me to Nora's stories has changed. This book was good in its own right, however, having read many of Nora's other works, I find this book lacking. Characters weren't as engaging as previous books.
I loved this book. Kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters and story line. One of my favorite authors
Nora Roberts is a long time favorite. It had been awhile since I read a book by her. I’m so glad I did.
I hadn’t read a Nora Roberts book in a long time and while reading this book I wondered to myself why I stopped. Identity was a captivating romantic suspense thriller with well-developed characters and a great twist. I am definitely back on the Nora Roberts train!
I want to thank NetGalley, Nora Roberts and St. Martin's Press for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.
I’ve never read a romance suspense like this one. It was unputdownable. Morgan was brave and I strive to be like her.
Nora Roberts never disappoints!
I loved Morgan and her resilience and authenticity. I became invested in her journey early in the novel and grew to care about her and enjoyed her journey and determination.. Her mother and grandmother are wonderful side characters and contribute so much to the family dynamic of the storyline.
Things go sideways early on when a cold-blooded man crosses her path and creates chaos. We learn who the killer is early on, but having the whodunit solved doesn't take away the suspense one bit. It's a thrilling ride from page one til the very end.
Hot take: I do not like romantic suspense thrillers. The thriller part was great, but the last thing I want is a love story involved. The plot and characters were well developed.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy to honestly review.
This book was long but a good thriller. It throws you off at the beginning but then ut gets going after the first few chapters. I did think the ending was pretty anti climatic and could have contained more to finish out thr book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I haven’t been a fan of Nora Robert’s latest novels. They have been missing the spark that so many of her books in her backlist have. Many of which are 5 star reads for me. But that changed with Identity. It had romance, suspense, a bad guy that we know (but surprisingly didn’t detract from the suspense) who is after Morgan again.
I liked the connection between Morgan and Miles. Miles doesn’t try to take over or save the day. He stands up for her, stands by her, and at the end of the day, lets her hold her own.
Thanks to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the ARC.
Nora Roberts does it again! I haven’t read one of her books in a while and Identity was a reminder of why she’s such a popular author of romantic suspense.
This book features a serial killer who presents as very smooth and who has the computer skills to steal his victim's identity (he pinpoints women with androgynous names like Morgan), drain their bank accounts, take over their property deeds, etc. Very scary because this sounds so realistic.
Identity grabbed me right from the start and I kept finding reasons to keep reading/listening. Even though the book is fairly long at 437 pages (or 15 hours of audio), it never felt long.
Some of the themes include family, both “actual” family and found family; starting over when you think you’ve hit rock-bottom; finding your inner strength. AND that women should seriously consider taking self-defense classes!
The characters in this book were well-drawn and definitely not stereotypes. I absolutely loved Morgan’s mother and grandmother, along with all the members of the Jameson family.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read an advance readers copy of this book, although I was rather late to it. I bounced between the ARC and the published audiobook (from Macmillan Audio), courtesy of my public library. The narrator, January LaVoy, did a superb job with the many voices. I truly don’t know how she manages to make the male voices so believable!
Nora Roberts explores the nature of Identity when Morgan Albright meets an IT man with a winning personality; what she doesn't know is that he is a sociopath serial murderer who romances women, takes their money and kills them. Luke murders her best friend who is at her home in the wrong place at the wrong time. Two FBI agents give Morgan the bad news and she discovers Luke has taken all her money as well. As she reestablishes her life back with her family, she finds out that the psychopath is not done with her. Beautifully written.
I do not know why I waited so long to read this one! Nora Roberts grabbed me from page one and kept me intrigued throughout the whole novel. I loved the strong female lead characters, the cat and mouse chase, and the themes of strongwomen, family, and survival. Make sure you grab this one!
This was a fine 'thriller' if thats what we want to call it. Its very predictable and simple. The writting is good and I liked the characters, the small town is a cute setting.
It was like enjoying two stories simultaneously. Morgan lives a quiet life until she crosses paths with the wrong man. She was his target and her will not rest until she's dead.
Nora has managed to successfully make me scare for what you would think are normal situations. How easy it is for someone to attack in the some unconventional ways. This man completely destroys these women's lives than kills them.
I am thoroughly terrified and I think that's the point. The book had me on edge the whole way but the love story was great and beautiful
As per usual was a beautiful and scary at the same time
Morgan Albright has a life plan. She wants to own her own bar someday, put roots down and have a nice house along with someone to share it with. She has bought a small house that could use some repairs, but she has a roommate to help with the costs, along with working two jobs to someday fulfill her dream. One day she comes home from work to find her roommate dead and someone has stolen her identity. After losing everything, she decides to move home to live with her Mom and Grandmother. Little does she know, this is where all her dreams could come true. If the killer doesn't find her.
A great, fast-paced thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Wonderful characters and plot to the story. I haven't read Ms. Robert's for awhile, but this book has me wanting to read more.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in return for my honest review.
