Let’s start with I haven’t read any of the previous books in The Hellraisers series. It happens all the time for me. Par for course of a reviewer’s life that you may not get to read the series from the beginning and usually it works out for me fine. Sometimes it inspires me to start it from the beginning to see what I missed out on, other times I just keep moving on. In the case of Sinner’s Heart…I’ll be moving on.
I’m not a big fan of books set in the past and I guess I missed the fact the time frame of this book is set in the 1700s. Bummer for me. As for Bram and Livia, I found them to be just okay. The story line, again, was just okay. It was fast paced but it felt there was just something lacking for me. Normally, I like a paranormal romance story. Heck, I love a bad boy that needs redemption. I could even handle a romance with a ghost. It’s just, I didn’t connect with Bram or Livia. Kind of hard to stay engaged with a story when you’re meh about the characters.

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not compensated for the book other than the entertainment it provided. All thoughts and opinions are my own
