Thank you to A. Poland, Entangled Publishing, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Tripwrecked comes out November 14, 2022!

Tripwrecked is delightful romantic comedy set in a small town in Australia. After his boyfriend of 8 years and his sister betray him in the worst possible way, Aiden decides to drop everything and runaway for alittle bit. This lands him in small coastal town far way from his home country of Ireland. When getting to his Airbnb he finds the very handsome but kind of intimidating brother of the owner and single dad, Finn. While first impressions were rough the two keep running into each other, and each time their chemistry grows and grows. Will Aiden being heading back to Ireland or will he discover that home has a lot more to do with the people then the place.

This book was such a quick, fast-paced, fun read. Aiden is so lost and lonely in the beginning so it is very heartwarming to see the relationships he develops and his own personnel growth. Finn comes off as very gruff and grumpy but you find out that he has such an amazing heart most of the time (we can admit he has his stubborn and grumpy moments). The side characters are supportive and warm. I would have really liked for the book to be dual POV, I feel like I wasn't as attached to Finn because of this. But overall this book was all about finding family in unlikely places and figuring out that where you belong might not be the place you originally thought.

Tripwrecked is the sweet and earnest romantic escape that I didn’t know I needed. A. Poland does a great job of creating an engaging story around two cinnamon roll heroes and their tight knit found family.

4.5/5 stars

Aiden escaped his life in Ireland after discovering that his partner of 8 years was cheating on him. He impulsively books a month away in a tiny Australian beach town, and he plans to reevaluate his life. Things take a turn when he walks into his rental house and discovers hottie Finn fixing the plumbing. Finn somehow gets Aiden to blurt out his innermost thoughts and reveal pieces of himself. After exploring the small town for a bit, Aiden finds himself feeling a sense of community and home for the first time. But as he and Finn get closer, what happens when his vacation is over and it’s time to return to Ireland?

Aiden is adorably sweet and insecure. Watching him open up to Finn, who is closed off in his own way, is a treat. Finn plans his life around his daughter Millie, a no nonsense 8 year old who calls out grownups on their bs. But Finn’s super power is the support of his found family in this close knit town. I loved these secondary characters, both for themselves, and how they supported Finn and welcomed Aiden as one of their own.

Note: this book is mostly closed door, although shenanigans are referred to throughout the story. While I usually like a higher heat level, it worked and was consistent with the overall tone of this romance.

I loved reading this MM romance, and it had me craving a month long escape to the beaches of Australia. The attraction between Aiden and Finn is obvious, and it was fun watching two deserving sweethearts get what they need. Tripwrecked has an endearing earnestness that drew me in, and kept me reading long past my bedtime.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ah such a sweet story. Honestly, the location of Australia drew me in first, but then the story was carried in such a way that I couldn’t stop reading. Aidan and Finn as a couple was so adorable and sweet. I love that they became better together. I also loved how the author incorporated side characters that were fun, sassy, direct and loving. Yet not too annoying. Hooray for that. And the ending was definitely a great love rom com ending that will make you smile. Overall, this was a sweet gem of a book that will make you smile and laugh. Trust me, you got to read this book!

I absolutely loved this book- I couldn't put it down and finished it in 24 hours. We meet Aiden as he arrives in a small town in Australia for a month-long holiday. When he arrives at his Airbnb, we are blessed with a meet-cute between Aiden and Finn, the host's brother, as he hilariously attempts to fix a sink. Finn, it turns out, ends up finding Aiden at the most inopportune times (for Aiden), but when he conveniently could use some assistance, from a pretty delicious Aussie. This leads to the most beautiful story of found family and self-discovery. Sprinkled with a little a spice, and you have one amazing read.
I found myself really connecting with the characters and really enjoyed the conflict/resolution and character development along the way. I wished we could see a little bit more resolution between Aiden and is mom and sister, but that didn't make me enjoy the story any less.

Ultimately, I gave this book 4 stars and would ABSOLUTELY recommend it for when you need a sweet read.

Thank you, Entangled Amara, for allowing me to read Tripwrecked early.

Tripwrecked is a cute, sweet, and sometimes witty M/M romance set in Australia. While I liked Aiden and Finn and the side characters, I just didn't connect to them as much as I wanted to. I found the story a bit middle-of-the-road. Not bad but not that fantastic either. It was just okay,

This was such a cute, sweet, fun read, and I loved it so much. Pretty sure I was grinning the whole time. I loved Aiden’s growth. I loved Finn. I loved how smart Millie was. I loved the whole cast of found family. I wish I could take a holiday to Australia and eat honeycomb cake! The epilogue served some much needed justice to Dan.
